We had to travel for business and medical reasons and the hotel did its very best to look after us during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff are very approachable and friendly. Well done to all of them.

Booked a Wowcher voucher, hotel not answering the phone when it did yesterday, i was informed that no dates were avilable in the timescale that the voucher had left on it ( 3 months). Staff memeber(a man) was not very helpful, i said to him so basically i have a voucher i cannot use, he said yes.

We bought a Living Social voucher for a stay here, but couldn't use it due to Covid. Called earlier this year and was categorically told it would be extended till the end of August 21. Tried to use it today to coincide with a theatre booking and the manager basically called me a liar and said I couldn't possibly have been told that and the extension was only until the end of July. I now have a worthless voucher. On the plus side, I have just read that this hotel is up for sale as the company that owns it has gone into administration! Karma is a wonderful thing...

Response from Mark Manley, General Manager at Best Western Plus Centurion Hotel
Responded 3 weeks ago
We have sold over 400 vouchers with zero other extension date issues. It is not the hotels fault that the new theatre date is after the voucher expires. This review doesn't mention the voucher has now been cancelled with Wowcher. We were threatened on the phone that bad reviews would be posted on social media, disgraceful. This person has only posted two 1 star reviews, so seems they only use social media as a weapon just when the hospitality industry is getting back on its feet.

Shower sprayed water in all directions, desk seats were so low the table was up to my neck, tv so slow it would struggle to simply turn on. Good points: staff were exceptional and kind, room was clean and tidy.

Exactly what you want from a good hotel chain. Friendly staff, clean and stylish rooms and decent food. Only drawbacks are the lack of a lift and leaky, single glazed windows that allow monster drafts through.
