My husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel overnight on our way up to Ullapool and what a treat it was. We arrived to a warm Scottish welcome and shown to our comfortable bedroom by the same friendly lady. We freshened up and then went down to dinner, which I had booked. The restaurant is beautiful overlooking Loch Linnhee....

Had a lovely 1 night stay here. Took advantage of the bikes and went on the little ferry to Lismore. Cycled here for an hour and went to Port Ramsay which is an idyllic location with stunning views. It felt so peaceful and calm. Loved cycling about here. Caught the ferry back to The Pierhouse. (Ferries are every hour) Had...

Chose this place for a special birthday. So nicely tucked away. Weather awful! But totally used to west of Scotland's fickle climate. Shame there are so many cars at this end point though. Room very good, staff very good, breakfast very good. But the main reason for coming was for the seafood and I have to say it was a...

Thank you for your review although I am very sorry you did not enjoy your dinner. I feel you have been overly harsh on your criticism of the presentation of our Monkfish dish and the seafood platter comes with garlic mayonnaise. If this was absent for some reason then I apologise. Regarding the mussels, this is one of our signature...

After a fantastic dinner of fresh seafood and good wine, we got chatting to a great couple who are regulars at The Pierhouse. They advised us not to let others in on this great secret.....Sorry guys.. The Pierhouse is a slice of heaven served up in a slice of heaven. Port Appin is a stunningly beautiful (be warned - very...

First visited this delightful hotel in the summer of 2015. Returned with good friends on Sunday for two nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. What can one say, nothing has changed. Everything and everyone was as perfect as on our first visit. From the warm greetings of Harry to the excellent food and the professionalism of all the staff. As...

We spent just the one night here but what a night! Right from the outset the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was clean, well appointed and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Dinner was a fantastic experience. The waiting staff were a delight. The food was incredible. We had the...

We had visited before and had enjoyed lunch in the bar and dinner in the restaurant so we knew that this hotel was in a stunning location. It sits just off a tiny pier where the (passenger) ferry crosses regularly to the island of Lismore. The view from the hotel is incomparable. We were warmly welcomed and shown up to...

Great rooms, lovely staff and fab food... best Cullen Skink I've had in years! Great views but very quiet out and about, though the bar gets busy around ferry times, mostly with families doing coffee and Pierhouse kitchen home baked scones & cakes... good place to get away for a quiet chill-out.

My self and my husband have returned to the Pierhouse a few times since the last review, the latest visit being the New Year Hogmanay package for 2016/17! The welcome is always very warm from the owners Nick and Nicky, the staff who are all exceptionally polite, friendly and very helpful. The New Year is fun as you can join...
