It’s amazing. Rooms are beautiful and clean, host is extremly nice and food is delicious. Everything is home made. We’ve been comming here for years! I used to come here as a child and now I come with my family. Totally worth the visit!

Exceptional service. Exceptional food. The host is an absolute saint. Amazing place to go with children. Fun with animals, a lovely pool, we couldn't have asked for much more. Thanks so much for making our stay such a wonderful memorable time.

We can hardly find perefect words for this place. Place is like in a Heidi farytale. Beautiful nature, peacful, great all home made food ( served for breakfast and dinner ), friendly host mrs Urška. Kids can play outside, can feed animals, very nice swimming pool is also there. There it feels like home.

It was a unique experience to stay somewhere where they lived from the land. Growing grapes to make their own wine. Producing from their own livestock fresh and cured meats, cheese, yoghurt, butter. Baking their own bread. Fresh fruit and vegetable from their own gardens. Homemade ice cream. To sum this up, the meals were just delicious! Even made slippers from the wool from their own sheep. They had won awards from The Slow Food Movement. It was a delight!

Finding place for family weekend is always a challenge. Going to Turistic farm Urska is one of the best choices we have done in the last year. 100 % eco and amazing food, family owned farm, nice rooms, quite and for sure value for money. Vilma (owner) picked our kids in the morning, went with them picking fresh eggs, vegetables and then baking pancakes while parents could sleep few hours more - yes this is vacation:).

Our two nights here were a real highlight of our time in Slovenia. You have a wonderful host, delicious cooking with all the ingredients sourced from the farm, comfortable rooms, the gorgeous setting with fantastic views.

You can go on short or longer hikes or have a car and explore further.

There is a bit of noise transference between the rooms but otherwise all is quiet.

I'd love to go back!

O and all the friendly animals on your doorstep!

The hosts were so welcoming and kind. The farm is absolutely beautiful and there are so many things for children (and adults) to see and do there. We opted for the dinner plan so we had both breakfast and dinner on the farm. Everything that was made and prepared for us was delicious. We opted for the 2 bedroom family suite which was very spacious and sparking clean. If we're ever in this region of Slovenia again, we will definitely stay here. During the past 2 days, our son has asked us to take him the airport so he can go to the farm.

This is a fantastic gem which we were recommended and have been recommending to everybody since. The hotel has 7 large rooms. It is a family run hotel and VERY friendly. Urska the owner is always smiling and friendly and welcoming and always goes out of her way to help as you need. The hotel is set at the top of a hill about 500m up and has great views of the surrounding forests and mountains, the road to get to it is on a dead end so no traffic goes past it apart from the 3 neighbour houses. We went with our 2 young children 1 and 3. This is a paradise for them. The hotel is also a working farm with cows, chickens, sheep, vineyard and fields. There is a farm cat and ducks and geese...a children paradise. Our 3 year old son was going everyday to pick the fresh eggs with he basket and taking them to the kitchen for breakfast!

The rooms are very large and comfortable and very clean with everything you need, we had a 2 bedroom apartment and also a lounge and kitchen area in the old family house. The nights are super quite and you sleep like a log! There are toys everywhere for the children in the apartment in the corner that they can use. Outside in the garden there are swings and a sand pit if the children get bored of the animals.

Apart from the great atmosphere, children friendliness, nature and quietness and animals at the hotel, the other GREAT things is that they cater fully for you. The food is amazing, and more importantly all home cooked, but even more importantly, everything and I mean everything you eat is the farms produce, all the meat, eggs, vegetable, bread they bake, cakes, even homemade butter, sausage, and even Ice cream, and of course the wine they produce, all organic and free range! This was such a pleasure to experience! Urska's mother does most of the cooking and she has a reputation in Slovenia for this with many locals coming up to the hotel just for dinner or dinner parties etc.

You will need a car to really enjoy the country side area and Slovenia. the hotel location is roughly in the middle of Slovenia, so you can get to most places very easily, Lubjana is 1 hour drive away.

Would highly recommend this hotel, for families or a romantic break, but most of all if you also want a culinary experience which you don't get often these days.

Andreas, Svetlana and kids

Came to the Potocnik Centre in Vitanje for work and with my colleagues we stayed at the Urska tourist farm.

Fantastic experience. The farm is run by the family and almost all food comes from the farm production. The first evening we had dinner in the farm and it was delicious, from the flower soup to the Studio (polenta rolled into a carrot cream), everything was genuine and delicious. Even the wine (very very good) is their own production.

The family is very hospitable and Urska and her mum provide always an introduction to the food being served. Urska speaks very good english.

The rooms are big with all services, including Wi-Fi. I am told that this tourist farm is famous across Slovenia... Well It deserves it

For anyone wishing to experience authentic Slovenian hospitality, Urška Tourist Farm is definitely worth a visit. Centrally located between the Rogla ski resort and Celje made this a perfect location for us to unwind after a great day on the slopes. Although it is a bit far from the more well known tourist locations in Slovenia, the farm is a wonderful destination in and of itself. As previous reviewers have mentioned the food is amazing, and almost everything that we ate, from the beef, salami, cheese, yoghourt and vegetables, to the wine, juice and jams, comes from the farm. The Topolšek family obviously puts a lot of pride and joy into what they do which translates into a wonderful experience for their guests. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer, and on our next visit I will definitely take advantage the multi-night package deals that they have listed on their website.
