I stayed here with my son, we are intermediate skiers and found the mixture of runs with the Montgenevre ski pass with one day on the milky way was fine for us. We paid for the Crystal trip to Sestriere to save time and covered a fair bit of this area in one day. The snow was ok despite a... More

This was the second year running we has visited this hotel and once again we had a good holiday. The hotel is in a great location, short walk to the village. Not far to ski school meeting place, possible to ski down to back of hotel and lovely scenery. The hotel is always lovely and warm and clean and its... More

We only booked this about 4 weeks prior to travel as it was a bit of a bargain. Having been here 9 years ago with a baby and a two year old we new it was a good location to go with children. The hotel is in a great location for the ski slopes and even with limited snow in... More

Just returned from Claviere. I was nearly put off by negative reviews on this site and I'm glad i wasn't. It must be remembered that this is a three star hotel. The staff were very aware of some bad reviews re the food and tried really hard to please. I thought it was ok. I was at Club Med in... More

We have had our first family holiday of 5, costing us in excess of £3k. We knew the base was basic but hoped for clean & warm which, in the most part, it was. We really enjoyed the slopes and lifts and the beauty of the village. We also really liked the hotel team Debra, Randy, Carmen, Mikele etc. The... More

I returned from a one week stay in Grande Claviere today and was so offended and disgusted with the standard food at this hotel. The quality, taste, and presentation of the food is totally unacceptable. I was going to write more but after reading the previous reviews it would only be repeating the same information. My only addition would be... More

The hotel, if you ignore the food, would warrant at best a good. Due to the food it barely warrants a poor. The bottom line for me; the hotel is basic, functional and clean. The bed was comfortable with a good mattress, towels were soft and clean and changed during the week. The quantity of food may be ok but... More

My wife and I have just returned from 1 week in this hotel. The hotel, rooms and staff are great. Unfortunately the food is very poor, there was no flavour to the food, all dinner meals were either over cooked or lacked any flavour, the portions were tiny. They use the cheapest hams, cheese etc. The bread was of poor... More

Hotel good, room spaceous and clean, staff friendly and helpful and resort quaint with good ski area! Tried not to take any notice on comments about the food on previous reviews so went with an open mind but the food was dire and had to eat out on a number of occasions, find it hard to believe Crystal ski have... The hotel is very warm and comfortable and the rooms are a good size, have plenty of storage and was spotlessly clean. It is fairly basic but it is a 3* and has everything you need. The boot room is great and the hotel is only a short walk from the ski school if you are learning, or the chairlifts... More
