Just got back from a wonderful 4 days at the zoetry. It’s listed as a 5 star hotel and for the area it is in, it’s just that. It’s tropical luxury that fits into its surroundings and isn’t trying to be something it’s not. What makes this a 5 star hotel is the people. My wife and I have never encountered better people at the many places we have stayed over the years. Special shout outs to Hilda, the chef at the cove, Sunshine, and Chef K. Hilda is the kindest woman who goes above and beyond to make you feel like you’re at home. She was the sunshine to our morning every day! Food was outstanding. The fish tacos and beef burger and fish and chips I could eat every day. Thanks for a great stay!

The hotel claims to be 5 star. 1 star would be generous. The rooms are run down and dark. Often the pictures of the hotel are shown at night with the lights on. Our room was so dark during the day with so little natural light we needed the lights on all of the time. The big problem was the swimming pool. It was filthy. it was impossible to see the bottom even in the shallow end. It had moss and bacteria everywhere above the water line. After complaining someone sprinkled vast quantities of chlorine granules everywhere around the pool without rinsing the area. Anyone using the pool area that day would have found their clothes bleached without knowing why. The main swimming pool was actually used not for swimming but for guests to stand and drink in. We used to refer to it not as a swimming pool but as "Wetherspoons" which is a cheapish public house chain in the UK. At the side of the pool there is a sign listing the things not to do in the pool, one of which warned of a fine for episodes of vomiting or diarrhea in the water. Having stayed there, I can see why this is referred to on their sign!

Everything was great. I could rave about so many staff. I love this place. I’d like to call out Sunshine the Sushi chef at the pool bar. Her sushi and poke bowls are off the chain, but it’s only beat by her cooking talents and delightful personality. Her name fits her demeanor. She should be recognized. She’s amazingly accomodating.

My wife and I just returned from an 11 day holiday at this resort. I have reviewed many of the comments provided, some of them mixed. However, I can honestly say that we had an excellent vacation. The rooms were spacious, and the housekeeping services excellent. We dined at 1461, as well as the Cove and Hurricane Hole. The service and food in these restaurants was excellent. We liked 'The Cove' as its dock side, you get that nice tropical breeze, and you can sit at the Rum Cave and chat with other guests for an after dinner drink. We also really liked the creole night on Wednesdays, where traditional St. Lucian food is showcased. After a day poolside, we often sat dock-side at the Hurricane Hole, which had great food, great mixed drinks and 'Pitons', great service and a spectacular view of the yachts and CAT's coming to moor or dock in the harbor. The 'Yachties' who sail in are fun to talk to, and have great stories of their adventures. Over-all the resort had a very laid back 'castaway' vibe. The beach is not great, but its a very close complimentary water taxi ride. If you are looking for a 'beach' vacation this is not the place. But if you are looking for rest, relaxation, quality and service, look no further! We travel the Caribbean pretty extensively, and I can honestly say that this resort provided the service, quality and rest we needed. We will definitely be back. Special shout out to 'Keya' and all the staff at Zoetry Marigot Bay.

We stayed in the marina and purchased Day Passes. The various restaurants are excellent and the staff is exceptional!! Everyone is so helpful and friendly and they remember all of the guests by name! A special call-out to Sunshine the sushi chef..... she is wonderful and an excellent sushi chef. Can't wait to go back for another very special Poke Bowl made by Sunshine!!

We almost changed resorts and sooo glad we stuck with this one! Sorry this is long but so much good to say! I’ll start with the only disappointment: When we arrived we were disappointed with the room location. We paid for the master suite with plunge pool under the impression we’d get the gorgeous view of the bay as photos show on their sites. We had a ground level with no view at all. Luckily, they were quick to accommodate and were able to move us into a much better located room, still ground level, but a much better view and location. This is something Hyatt should be better clear about when booking rooms. We were actually hoping and expecting to do stairs. Many might say this is a negative, but for us we were ready to do stairs to have that view. There are many great ground level, or lower level rooms that can accommodate people with some mobility issues, and there are other rooms that a bit of a hike, all with varying views. So it depends on what your preferences and needs are. My feedback to Hyatt/Zoetry would be to better advertise and describe the differences in the rooms so those who can’t or don’t want to do stairs can be accommodated and for those for whom stairs aren’t an issue and want a view, can opt for that. Once we got into the new/better located room, I soon forgot about that first impression because the rest of the trip was simply amazing!!! The staff are so friendly and eager to please if you need anything. The coordination and communication onsite, and also when doing excursions, is really amazing and well done! The food was fantastic, amazing views from any restaurant onsite. Food was so good (and included!) and there was enough variety we wanted to try (or even repeat!), that we didn’t feel the urge to eat offsite. I loved the little beach which was not busy (not sure why more people don’t go!) that is natural. We took out a kayak and paddleboards a few times. There is also a hike up the ridge which you need a certain degree of fitness, but oh so beautiful! Thanks to Chavez and land master (forget his name!) for the hike and sharing your knowledge of the land! The sunset cruise was breathtaking! The rum tasting onsite with Andre was great, he will make you amazing drinks at the Cove bar! Sam at the Cove was really great! All service at the restaurants were great (can’t remember everyone’s names!) For us, the food portions were perfect and even the timing was fine! You are there to chill and enjoy the view. No rush! Timing was perfect according to us. This is a quiet resort, not a party one. Which is exactly what we wanted for a peaceful, restful 10 year anniversary vacation without kids. Maximum chill as they say! A few kids were there, but well behaved, barely noticeable. There really isn’t anything for kids there though. I can’t say enough great things about this resort. I loved how it was only 1hr from the airport and closer to the activities we wanted to do on the island. Ive stayed at a good handful of all inclusives, and I don’t love them all for various reasons. I loved how this one seemed had character, authenticity, surrounded by natural beach and beauty. Rooms were beautiful and clean. All staff were attentive and friendly. I loved how we didn’t have to make reservations to restaurants, and we showed up when and where we wanted and always had a spot and great service. This was one of or possibly even the best vacations I’ve ever had. Thank you Zoetry Marigot Bay! Truly felt at home for the week!

Stayed a week at Zoetry Marigot Bay with my gf. 7 nights to be exact. We loved it! First off….the resort itself is very beautiful and tranquil. Pool area was nice and the swim up bar was fantastic although at times you would have to wait a bit for a drink…but I honestly didn’t really care…I was in the pool! It’s clean with well kept landscape all throughout the resort with some parts offering great views of the Bay… The food was also very good. There’s only a a couple dishes we weren’t satisfied with. But overall we enjoyed the food very much. Our favorite place to eat dinner was actually the Rum Cave. 1461 our least favorite but I did love the Salmon dish. Portion sizes varied as well but again…didn’t really matter to us because we would always order a bunch of food and always left full. Nothing really to do at night but have dinner. We were ok with that. If you’re a party hard type then you may be bored. I will admit that it would be nice if they kept the pool and pool bar open until like 9 or 10 instead of 6. But again…this ultimately didn’t really bother us. We did a lot of excursions during the week and winding down at the end of the night with a nice dinner, drinks ,and then heading back to our room was just fine. In my opinion…if you’re looking for a quiet, less crowded and calming place with good food…..Zoetry is perfect. The Beach across the Bay was nice. I had a local cut me up some fresh coconut and I drank the whole thing. It was delicious! We also had access to sail boats, kayaks (which we used) and paddle boards that you could go around the bay with. Beware…the locals will attempt to sell you stuff and get you to do things with them expecting a tip. Just politely say no and have some excuses ready and they’ll leave you alone 😆. The room itself was basic but very clean and well air conditioned with a nice private balcony which we ate breakfast on with the room service offered. Room came with a fully stocked mini bar which contained sodas, water, and beer. Espresso maker was also in the room (which we used every morning and it came out delicious). Room also came with closet space, drawers, nice smart tv, tablet (which was great for any requests you may have had), a safe, very comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. Room was serviced every day. We’d leave and come back to fresh towels, all trash taken, and made bed. Mini bar and coffee restocked. We also took advantage of the free laundry service at the end of the week which was brought back to us promptly within 24 hours. Andre at the Rum Cave was our favorite bartender! See him for great drinks and will make you anything! Very attentive! Honestly, not much to complain about. Pretty much exactly what we wanted. A few dings here and there but overall a great vacation and we would recommend it and would even go back.

ANYTHING negative on this hotel you’re reading on here, you must disregard. Just returned home yesterday and this location was absolutely outstanding. Location location location. An excellent value for your money. The vibe was luxurious and laid back. The food was excellent. The staff- and I mean everyone- was on point, professional, and helpful WITH a smile. Names that come to mind were Ryan, Selma, Trudy, Darcel and Kimie. Outstanding. If I were local, I’d hire them myself. I’d definitely return and likely will. We’ve been all around the planet, and this Zoetry was not only exceptional….. but made a difference. I have noticed a lot of the negative reviews were from the UK 🇬🇧. Why these reviews have come from there I don’t know. Every Brit we met on the trip were awesome and happy as heck with their vacation here. A bad batch? Who knows lol 😂. Go here! It’s awesome and you won’t regret it.

Before going into the resort's details, you need to know that the Zoetry staff here excels when providing service, checking in and just having genuine conversation. You'll see many shout-outs below. We got to know so many staff members. After 30+ years of vacationing together, this dedicated staff has to be in the top 3 of our destinations. The staff is WHAT MAKES THIS RESORT! TRANSPORTATION - Zoetry has a free shuttle from/to the airport for resort guests. Be sure to reserve a spot in the van. We rented an SUV based on our previous driving experiences in St. Lucia. We would advise against a rental. The roads were worse than the last time we were there; front desk personnel arranged to have our rental returned. Thank you. There is some road repair going on; the airport to the hotel commute is about 75 minutes depending on road construction. LOCATION - hillside overlooking Marigot Bay, where 1967 Dr. Doolittle and more recent Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl were filmed. The harbor has some beautiful docked boats and you will see a green preserved mountainside across from the rooms. Be prepared for stairs on the property. BUILDINGS' LAYOUT - The Mangrove section is four buildings closest to the harbor with garden views but not much of a harbor view, if any. The nine History building section is where most guests stay. The first floor rooms are about 15 steps up; second floor about 35 steps and the top floor is about 50 steps. The second and third floors have very nice harbor views. #9 and #10 seem to be nice building locations. We opted for building 9 to be near the middle of the resort, the pool/bar and the restaurants. The six Festival buildings with great views are higher up and we checked them out - too many stairs and a steep incline for us. Almost all rooms are slightly askew so that you have decent balcony privacy. FRONT DESK - the staff is very friendly and professional. Check-in was smooth. Download the Hyatt app to see the restaurant menus, room service, housekeeping/maintenance requests and spa treatments. A gentlemen described $200 in discounts to use. Be sure to read the usage restrictions. We later discovered he was a time-share rep. Front desk Janelle, a lovely and gracious person gave us a resort tour and took us to our room. SHOUT-OUTS to Nicole and Janelle ROOM BALCONY - faces north with 2 table chairs; shaded most of the day, floor to ceiling glass doors; many windows have wooden louver blinds ROOM - The 900+ square foot junior suite was great for us. Three lit armoires with 5 shelves and many hangars, in-room safe, umbrella, iron/board. Credenza with shelves and drawers, mini-fridge with local Piton beer, Heineken, champagne, Coke, Diet, Zero, tonic, rum, water - all replenished each day, hot tea kettle, coffee maker, coffee/tea caddy and condiments. Writing desk/chair, sitting area chair and table, 2 night stands with drawers and open storage, firm king size bed with firm pillows ROOM ELECTRONICS - 220V with about 6 USB ports; 110V adaptor needed. We brought our own though we were told they are available. Excellent wifi throughout the resort. Remote controls for A/C (works very well; sometimes turned off for about an hour early AM) and 48" TV. Bedside e-tablet for hotel information and room service. BATHROOM - large with dual vessel bowl sinks, dual lighted mirrors, magnifying face mirror, 12' soapstone counter with 2 soapstone shelves by windows. Plenty of room for personal amenities. Zoetry supplies Bulgari shampoo, conditioner, soaps, lotions, sewing kit and cap. Their hairdryer is adequate; we wished that we had brought ours. Wall-mounted toilet and bidet. Glass-surround easy-access open shower with long shelf, rain head shower head and hand-held shower wand. Yes, the water does spray onto the outside area of the shower. The water pressure was excellent and there was always hot water. ROOM HOUSEKEEPING/SERVICE - (1) the daily housekeepers were always pleasant and timely. The room was clean; they seem to use a vinegar product to clean the floors. The room's condition does show 'wear.' (2) a servi-bar person comes to restock your fridge (3) PM turndown service removes used towels, turns down the bed and leaves delicious cookies each night (4) 24/7 room service for beverages/meals was nice but inconsistent in terms of delivery time. You may have to call again or make a second tablet request to get the delivery. CONCIERGE - very, very pleasant, helpful, and efficient people. They are located in the Library next to the 14-61 restaurant and bar. From welcome trays to special occasion balloons to excursion/restaurant reservations, they do it all. Thank you! SHOUT-OUTS to Kerissa and Genesis. Very helpful! POOL - there are two areas: the main and the lower pool. The main has many more seats, umbrellas, cabanas and a swim up Le Bateau bar/restaurant. There is also a shallow spot overlooking the lower area. Yes, many people do the towel-reserve for their spots in the morning. We always frequented the lower, quieter infinity pool/waterfall area to read. There were enough chairs for us to sit in the sun and move to shade as well. There are only 3 cabanas, 4 sofa beds under the 14-61 overhang. RESTAURANTS - There are five. While several TripAdvisor postings describe long wait time for food or less food variety than they would like, we found the service to be on par with most Caribbean islands and there was a wide selection of food options for us. 1 - Le Bateau 10 am - 5 pm: we ate at this pool restaurant/bar often because of its great sushi made-to-order, buffet with delicious mahi, kingfish, chicken, pork and salads. There are also tacos, wraps and sandwiches. Our fave - the spicy tuna roll and the nice, efficient staff. SHOUT-OUT to Deanna 2 - 14-61 for breakfast or dinner by library/concierge. Breakfast - eggs Benedict, French toast, pancakes, smoked salmon, yogurt, fruit, and many pastries by the entrance for the on-the-go. Dinner - many guests eat here for dinner, overlooking the lower pool; assorted local fare like tuna tartare, octopus, lamb chops, seared salmon, NY strip, short ribs. Our fave - the lamb chops SHOUT-OUTS to pleasant and efficient bartenders Nicolas, Thomas, and Nadine and servers Tracy 3 - Hurricane Hole open all day: dockside at the marina for all meals; wings, coconut shrimp, Caesars, burgers, wraps, fish sandwiches, really good thin-crust pizza, as well as delicious entrees. Our fave - coconut shrimp with the Thai sweet chili sauce; SHOUT-OUT to Erica, our server 4 - The Cove - dinner - on the dock below the lower pool; Italian style, salads, pizzas, pasta entrees. This is next to the Rum Cave for the Tuesday rum tasting lesson. Our fave: shrimp arabiatta SHOUT-OUT to Sam, the server 5 - Meraki - dinner only - part of Zoetry complex upstairs from Hurricane Hole; need reservation, open 4 days a week and not a part of the all-inclusive. You pay 50% of the price. Asian-themed - like ahi poke bowl, snapper, scallops, pork belly, chicken tika marsala 6 - Coco Café - open all day next to Hurricane Hole; our daily stop for coffee, pastries, ice cream, brownies, cappuccinos SHOUT-OUT to Cheribee for her wonderful disposition and service BARS - There are 4: pool bar 10-5 pm, 14-61 3-11 pm, Cave Bar 5 - midnight, Hurricane Hole 10-10 pm. There do not seem to be many that convene at the bar. There are many local, call-brand, and top shelf vodka, gin, scotch, bourbon, tequila, beers, wine, and specialty cocktails. SHOUT-OUT to the food and beverage manager Desny even located my favorite bourbon for me. Thank you. Good luck to Rula, Desny's intern. She was at every restaurant and bar assisting Desny and the staff. TIPPING - Though most people do not tip resort staff, we tipped $5-10 for waitstaff and housekeeping especially those who provided above-and-beyond service with tours, restaurants service or getting us something we needed and could not get. Yes, someone went out to buy us something we needed. Wow!
