We were looking for a quiet, secluded resort to celebrate my wife’s birthday and Marigot Bay Marina and Resort was the perfect spot! Nestled in the hills and surrounded by trees it was truly a spectacular location. The staff were incredibly attentive through our stay, even doing a special dinner for my wife’s birthday. The resort was quite empty during our stay, felt sorry for the resort but it did make fir a very quiet time for us, having no more than 5 or 6 other couples there the whole time. My wife did get quite a few mosquito bites so be aware of this given the nature of the setting. We didn’t realize how hilly the island was, so be prepared for a very windy and long (about an hour) ride from the airport. Highly recommend doing a private taxi tour down to the Pitons, incredible views. The walk to the viewing spot is quite strenuous, lots of rough steps to climb and very humid - but we’ll worth the walk for the views! We decided not to do the all inclusive as we wanted to try other restaurants in the nearby area, however due to COVID most were closed so we only got to try Doolittles (across the bay by free ferry). The sushi at the pool bar was excellent, made fresh and to order. Definitely recommend this resort for anyone looking for a secluded, intimate getaway.

Summer is rainy season, yes it rained for a few minutes on two of our days and for an hour on one day. Rain did not prevent us from doing any planned activity. First you must know that St. Lucia is a very mountainous, volcanic island. The roads are hilly, loaded with twists and turns and they drive on the opposite side (compared to the USA). Departure at JFK (JetBlue) was a cinch, the four of us have Global Entry with TSA Pre and we avoided an hour long line. Arrival at St. Lucia was just as easy with a quick temp check, review of all of our pre-arrival medical documentation, got our wrist bands, breezed through passport control, out to our waiting transfer to the resort. Mr. James, part of the reservations team provided invaluable assistance in obtaining medical clearance. Thank you for all your help. Our driver, Albert, got us to the resort in about 1:20 as planned, however we did stop at a local supermarket to pick up some provisions. Marigot Bay is remote, maybe 20-30 minute cab ride to the nearest food market, etc. We wore masks in the car, at the supermarket, and at indoor areas at the resort. We checked into our two bedroom, 2.5 bath villa, and at first were a little surprised by the hills at this resort. If you have any mobility issues, the front desk can assign rooms/villas accordingly. Our unit was in a great location - a short walk to the pool - with nice views of the surrounding hills and of course the harbor. The unit was well appointed and spotlessly clean. We had a full kitchen, living/dining room, and a plunge pool/whirlpool on our huge balcony. We also had a washer/dryer in the unit. The resort was just getting back after a long closing due to Covid. We had no problems securing lounge chairs/umbrellas by the main pool. Service was exceptional both poolside and at the two onsite restaurants. Our Maestros (concierge) arranged for outings and events each day. Our rate included breakfast each morning. There were many choices offered, and "customizing" was never a problem. There was a corporate event scheduled on day 4 of our weeklong stay, and the 80 arrivals did present a challenge to the staff just returning from a yearlong break due to Covid. It did NOT detract from our fabulous experience at Marigot Bay with the exception of dinner service one night. Desney, the F&B Manager tried his best to accommodate our requests and given the circumstances, he succeeded. Our server, Alithea, was incredible. Always a warm, engaging smile on her face. While in the pool, we met some very interesting travelers from different parts of the US and Europe. Apparently this harbor is a regular stopover for sailors spending a month or two cruising the Caribbean from St. Thomas down to Grenada. The yachts were simply amazing. We did a few excursions, a hike up the Pitons, a dip in the volcanic hot springs, a tour of the botanical gardens, a speedboat trip along the southern coast to Sugar Beach, all expertly arranged for by our Maestro. The massage at the Spa was the ultimate relaxation. There is a restaurant across the bay, Doolittle's with a free ferry. Don't bother, the food at the resort is much better and the prices are similar. I can go on and on, but I think you get the point. Great resort, warm, friendly staff, remote location and a very fair value for what we paid.

Dear eppyvox Thank you for your review and we are pleased that our liquid sunshine did not prevent you from doing any of your planned activities. Thank you for mentioning that your 2 Bedroom Residence was in a great location with views of the surrounding hills and the harbor and it was spotlessly clean and that the service was exceptional along with our Maestros team which arranged your outings and events. Again thank you for your review and thank you for saying that we have a great resort, warm, friendly staff, remote location, and a very fair value for what you paid. We hope that you will return for another visit sometime in the future Regards The Team Marigot Bay Resort and Marina

I was torn between two other resorts Body Holiday and Windjammer. Minutes before submitting my final payment, I found this amazing resort. I quickly did my TripAdvisor Review and realized I found a hidden jewel. Without hesitation I proceeded to change my plans mind you for weeks I was going with the other resorts. James was my first point of contact with the resort. I needed to change my stay due to Hurricane Elsa. I called the resort and shared the airline canceled my flight and I needed to change my arrival date. James jumped right in and made the modification. I was leery of staying an extra day due to my flight change. James felt I won’t want to leave once I arrived. Day of arrival, my Maestro Christa was there to greet us. Prior to arriving, I arranged a host of activities. My daughter was celebrating her 21st Birthday the day we arrived. I promise you every activity planned on property and off property did not disappoint. Each activity had a personal touch and luxury standards were applied with each service. We decided to start our first full day at the spa. We booked two of the signature spa packages. Mairlyn was our massage therapist. She worked to find each knot in my body and massaged until it disappeared. The facial and wrap were bonuses to the service. My daughter and I felt she was worth every penny and more. She massaged my head so that my hair grew. Day Two, we took a car into Rodney Bay and Pigeon Point. Anthony the driver was very personable and made me feel comfortable with exploring. Lunch on the beach was my daughter’s favorite because the music was idea for a 21 year old. The authentic food was tasty and the curry goat was the best in all of my world travel. Day Three, we booked the Carnival SOUFRIERE ADVENTURE VIA CATAMARAN. Everyone must experience the mud bath. The legend of your skin change is true. I noticed that evening after showering. Age spots on my hands disappeared. The package took us to a waterfall and snorkeling with a bonus of lunch. Day Four, we spent the day at the resort. I started the day off with Jay. Jay helped me get back to the basics of self care. I had my first formal Meditation Class. Jay is the resorts Athletic Director if you want to work on tuning your body Jay is your guy. I enjoyed the island so much I signed us for a cooking demonstration. Chef Davis prepared a menu and shared how to prepare the dishes. We walked away with a greater appreciation of the passion a chef has for cooking. Being at the grill was extremely hot. I will never complain about the time it takes to get my food after this wonderful opportunity. I love to cook and entertain but the old saying if you can’t take the heat get out the kitchen is true. The person whom was truly my savior while here was the Food and Beverage Manager Desney. I approached Desney while walking on property looking to leave in search of WiFi. Due to the hurricane the property was without WiFi. I had a report that needed to be submitted and I just took for granted I could login once I arrived. I was in a panic and I was willing to cut my trip to go home if WiFi was not available. Desney gave me access to his hotspot. It is this level of commitment that the staff has to ensure you have the whatever whenever experience at Marigot Bay Spa Resort Marina. The personal attention his staff offers while serving you makes the experience at the resort magical. Day Five and Six, we relaxed and enjoyed the resort. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. The pillows are like sleeping on clouds; however, the beds were to hard for my preference. At home I have a therapeutic bed. I had to change rooms and I can attest each room has the same fabulous standards. Neal is one of the hardest working members on the team. Everywhere you looked Neal was either checking someone in or delivering bags. I wish I had his energy. Xenita, Gregory and Sunshine will make your poolside afternoon enjoyable. Each day when I returned, Xenita had a fresh coconut waiting for us. Talk about feeling special. Sunshine always whipped up a special dish while Gregory perfected my Grey Goose Cosmopolitan Martini. I looked forward to my days at the pool or just passing by from returning from our excursions. The staff here is world class and the epitome of luxury. I worked for Starwood’s as a Director and I would be proud to have this crew as my team and the property is gorgeous. I would give this property a 10.

This resort was truly amazing. Not too big and not too small. Just the right size to receive top notch personalized service. The property was gorgeous! Manicured to the T. The Marigot Bay is one of the most picturesque places I have even seen. The rooms felt like a Tropical Oasis. It is not fully open yet due to Covid, but enough was open to make our trip wonderful! Jay was great too...felt like we had a personal assistant the entire week. The one thing you need to make sure of is BRING CASH! There is nowhere to get cash, and I mean nowhere. Maybe Covid? I am not sure, but just make sure you bring some. I would 100% recommend Marigot Bay Resort. You will not be disappointed.

We were just married at Marigot Bay Resort & Marina in beautiful St Lucia this past May 15, 2021 and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went! First, our coordinator Carleen was the absolute best to work with! – she was extremely responsive to every email from start to finish and accommodated our every request & then some; she truly made everything better than we even imagined for our dream day! Every vendor recommendation she made was fabulous and we have no regrets on any aspect of the day. Mr Daniel Marcion of Belle Portwe Studios was comfortable to work with and provided exceptional photos of our entire event. Mr Yannick James, violinist, played for the ceremony & cocktail hour and was definitely a guest favorite! In addition, the entire resort staff went above and beyond to make us and our whole crew feel very welcome the entire duration of our stay. The bar & restaurant manager, Desney, did a fantastic job ensuring every aspect of our food & beverage needs was provided with exceptional customer service. The food at each dining location was expertly prepared & delicious. Every aspect of the resort grounds was beautiful with stunning views from every point. The rooms were spacious and clean. Needless to say, all our expectations were met and then some! We highly recommend a wedding or a vacation stay at Marigot Bay Resort & Marina and will definitely be returning!
