This is a fine resort with nice pools and restaurants, but honestly, the prices are mind-boggling. $20.00 for pelligrino water, $42.00 for breakfast (2 eggs, Toast, bacon, orange juice & coffee). It’s quite a nice place and the staff is very friendly (if unbelievably slow). We had a wonderful visit, but I’m doubtful I’ll return. St.Lucia is beautiful, but clearly there are 2 economies and the one for tourists is insanely expensive. I guess they bank on people forgetting about any currency other than that of indulgence!

We transited into the bay and took a mooring. We had the use of the facilities and enjoyed appetizers for lunch and an excellent meal that evening of tuna tartare, pasta, and Mahi-mahi. The service was excellent it was a beautiful spot mostly used by BRITs

We were supposed to stay at this resort in August 2020. Due to Covid and travel restrictions, we cancelled our reservations, well within the specified time limits. The resort acknowledged this and promised to refund our deposit as soon as is opened again. More than 1.5 years later, we still are waiting for the return of our deposit. We have contacted the resort numerous times and each time were either ignored or promised a refund. Still waiting. So, don't even think about making a reservation here unless you are 100% certain that you will go and don't care if you lose a $1,000 deposit! So disappointed in the lack of professionalism at this resort!

We arrived and originally were placed in an incorrect room that also needed to be repaired slightly. The next day they immediately upgraded us to what would be a room better than what we originally had booked. Krista - the concierge - continuously bent over backwards to make sure that we were happy. It was extremely nice to see how much effort she put in to help us. The service was excellent all around. The cooking class with Gavis Duncan was 5/5. It was an excellent experience. In addition, the catamaran cruise was excellent. I also recommend taking the safari jeep tour. A beautiful island, kind people, and good service made our trip enjoyable. Despite a early mishap and being Atleast a 30 minute drive from everything happening external to the resort, we really enjoyed our trip. For note - the location is breathtaking but really far from most of the island. That would be the biggest contributor to it being 4/5 stars. We’d give the service and hotel 4.5 if we could.

This place could probably be 4 stars with some upgrades and staff training / additions but currently suffers from a lack of central organization and is overall not quite nice enough to justify the premium cost. Understandably some of the staff issues were likely COVID related but from start to finish we had several hiccups, which could have been alleviated with more staff and better training. Food was generally okay (once it arrived) and the overall accommodations and scenery were ok - but in line with a lower price point. Dinner reservations were often a surprise when we arrived and many times, we had to wait. Not a huge deal - as with most of our small gripes- but added together just indicative of an overall disorganized atmosphere. Dining service was slow and staff did not seem to have received basic training about how to wait tables properly (and maybe because of COVID many of them were new?) Most meals we were asked for our order twice by different people. Wait times were double what I would expect (50-60min for a poolside lunch order) No one really tends to you so you always have to ask for everything - and wait for a long time. Again, maybe not enough servers because of COVID, but spending over $1,000 a night usually denotes a premium service level. Would have expected lots of check ins while laying poolside - why yes a frosty beer or rose while I’m by the pool would be great. Never once did someone check on us without us having to ask. Waters were inconsistently replenished in room and turn down service only happened on night 1 and our final night. Pool towels were also not replenished daily (only on some days). The massage we received was not done by a professional, so should not be advertised as such. Staff didn’t clean our room until evening time most days and after our massage we came back to them just starting. Would like to think that the resort could coordinate better than that. Receiving our Covid test to leave the island was stressful. we were told a nurse would administer tests on site as you are required to have a negative test before entering the US. We and 12 other people - despite making appts the moment we landed at the resort - were told for three hours in the am the day we needed to test the “nurse wasn’t ready” and a bunch of other excuses. Then it took all day to get our results - pretty nerve wracking. Make sure you don’t forget anything at home - there is no store or anywhere to acquire necessities like sunscreen or Advil. We had to take a $100 round trip taxi ride that took half the day to town and back to get SPF.
