We stayed here for three weeks and the resort was virtually empty. There were usually only about three out of 40 rooms being used so it was a very quiet relaxing place to stay. We had booked a Firefly Studio Ocean View room. We arrived in the evening and reception was staffed for our check in. To reach our room we had to climb 76 steps, some of which were unlit and it was very dark, up to the room. It was small and dark and the number of steps weren’t something we wanted to climb up and down for three weeks. The resort very kindly moved us to a much nicer room Ocean Front Studio the next day with only a few steps to climb to it so we were much happier! There were no usb plugs but fortunately we had bought several of our own. The four poster bed was firm but ok but the sheets were too small to stay in place. There was plenty of storage space. The bathroom was compact and the door hit the toilet when it was open but everything worked ok. The sinks in the kitchen had a plumbing issue as the waste pipe climbed upwards so if you emptied one sink it bubbled up in the other one with smelly debris! But we didn't use it much so that wasn't a big problem. The room overlooked the pool and the bay and was only one flight of steps off ground level. The resort felt Covid safe (all staff wore masks and our temperatures were taken daily) All of the staff were very friendly. Any issues we had eg change of room, change to breakfast arrangements, problems with water supply, and lights not working were sorted out quickly. There was a small private beach with umbrellas but we didn’t leave anything unattended, even the beach towels, as we weren’t sure they’d still be there when we returned. Also had to make sure we didn’t position our sun loungers under the many coconut trees. When they fell to the ground they made a hell of a thump! There were other areas with sun beds by the dive centre and dive dock. You also didn’t get hassled by the local vendors if you were there. The restaurant provided very good meals. There were supply issues with some foods running out for a few days eg limes, bananas, yoghurts, tea bags. There was also a happy hour from 5-6 p.m. with 2 for 1 on certain drinks. When we booked the resort we thought we could eat across the bay in a variety of restaurants as well as the resort on the resort. In reality we only saw one Indian restaurant that was easily accessible and one other resort with a restaurant but the restaurant overlooked a pool whereas the one here got beautiful ocean sunsets. So by the time three weeks had passed we had repeated quite a few of the meals several times. However, they were mostly good apart from a couple of steak dinners in our third week when the tenderloin was tough. Even the cats struggled with it! During the first week we were informed that the restaurant wasn’t going to open until 11a.m. but as we were going diving at 9.30 and breakfast was included in our breakfast plan, we weren’t too happy with that. The suggestion was that we would collect our breakfast the evening before and reheat it the next morning in the microwave. I really didn’t fancy a reheated English breakfast, so they gave us the raw ingredients instead and I cooked it myself. However, after our tour operator and I complained, the restaurant was opened for breakfast again the next day. Our room was only cleaned upon request (due to Covid?). So we chose to only have housekeeping a couple of times a week. The girls did a good job. Out studio had a small kitchen with a gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. To buy any groceries you had to get the water ferry across to the other side of the Bay and either walk to a couple of small stores, or pay between $30 and $50 (US) for a taxi to a decent sized supermarket. I had a toothache and the resort were very good at arranging a taxi for me to get to a dentist in Castries. We had Fred as our taxi driver for transfers from and to the airport and for my two visits to Castries to the dentist. He was very friendly. I dare say that the resort that we experienced would be very different to how it would normally be prior to the pandemic. While we were here there was no gym, yoga or shop and there was a lot of maintenance needed. Hurricane Elsa had arrived a couple of days prior to us and the resort staff had to do a lot of tidying up afterwards. We did a dive package with Dive Fair Helene and they were very good, but I'll write a separate review about them. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here despite Covid changes to the resort.I hope that more guests will stay here and more diners visit the bar and Doolittles restaurant because it would be a lovely place to spend a few days when all the facilities are open and maintenance issues sorted, especially the poor and patchy WiFi.

We booked a room for 7 days through RCI. We paid an additional $800+, when we arrived we realized the rate was only $99 US anyhow, so on top of the timeshare we used we spent more than we should have. (The hotel said that they couldn't help us with that rate, so we have reached out to RCI as well.) Please note: you have to use the ferry to access this hotel, and you have to transfer ferries and pay to get to the restaurants. We were told there were two restaurants, ATM on site, Grocery store, grocery delivery, WiFi in room. The list goes on. They wouldn't show us the gym bc they said that it is now being used as storage. There also isn't a spa, they said that they can arrange a massage outdoors. ( they said bc of covid, but wouldn't show us the spa at all...not sure it exists either. ) ALL of these things listed are on the website for the hotel ( and RCI) and none of it was true. Not only was the hotel filthy, there was a man on the property ( beach) trying to sell my husband illegal substances. Our room was very basic but seemed clean. We went into the bathroom and there were ants everywhere, also, again, no wifi in the rooms. Because of Covid, they have the manager leaving at 3, which is also check-in time. Luckily we arrived at 2:30 so we were able to check in. The woman on staff, Chelsea, was very kind but not helpful. We did check out the second day. If you are looking for anything relative to what you are told it is going to be, avoid this place at all costs. I read a review afterwards and it was negative, and the hotel responded that it was " a personal attack so they were not going to entertain it". This is not a personal attack, this is an issue of integrity, unfortunately.

We stayed here and it was truly a great experience. The staff was fantastic taking care of our needs from arranging the required C19 tests, to taxis, to booking us with some tremendous tour guides (Fred on land and Alex @ sea). The on-site restaurant had a good selection of tasty food and great beverages. Watching ships roll into this paradisiacal Bay while chilling on the private beach with our Pina Coladas and Piton beers was just what I needed to destress. I woke up every day to see some pretty birds chirping on our balcony. Everyone was very friendly. One of the caretakers, George, on site seemed like an old friend by the time we left. I was thankful when we were leaving that our taxi to the airport was Fred again - great wealth of knowledge and a fun guy to be around. I've already recommended this place to several of my friends.

David & his staff were marvelous. They took care to make sure that all of my needs were taken care of, seeing that I enjoyed my stay on St. Lucia. The resort was quite beautiful with breath-taking views and comfortable accommodations. Doolittle's, the resort restaurant, was full of colorful characters and delicious bites that added to its charm. I will stay no other place when I visit the island.

We were travelling as a family in St Lucia for Christmas and New Year. Our base was Rodney Bay, we chose Marigot Beach because of its unique location. Chelsea booked us in and arranged our transfer all had to be covid certified for us to stay with the restrictions. As the little ferry took us across the water to our destination we felt special. We booked entry level accommodation which adequate for our needs had a lovely little terrace with a pretty view. We booked in for New Years Eve dinner and the hotel went to great lengths making it a memorable night with little prizes given out. Breakfast was lovely served cooked to order with plenty of choice. There is so much that is so unique about this place, it has a little track to lift guests up the steep hill in comfort. A nature track to the peak gives a superb view of the entire bay. We had fun swinging from the palm tree into the sea. On the beach are locals selling food, cold drinks and souvenirs. We had a little lunch bar b que which they cooked for us. Roosters running about which I heard from 5am. If I am next in St Lucia I imagine if money is spent on this hotel I will be priced out from staying as it will be a place only the super rich can afford to stay. The owner welcomes all to his unique hotel it was magical.
