Where do I start? St. Lucia is a beautiful island and I love the view from the resort. There was a ferry that took us back and forth from the resort to the main land. I do not recommend this resort. The dinning services at DooLittle restaurant was super slow. They try to say, “it’s island time” but I’ve been to other islands before and have never seen this. It’s was to the point I had to time how slow the service was. I was at breakfast and ordered an omelette and my timer said one hour and thirty minutes and I still had no food in front of me. Actually, nobody in the restaurant had food. I asked the waitress about my food and she said it wasn’t started yet. This was even more frustrating because of covid some places were shut down so we had to eat there some days. They over charge you and the food is not good at all. They include a 20% service fee and the food is not good and the service is slow. My husband asked them to do a birthday surprise dinner for me which was a total epic fail. There were bugs all on my table and they did not give us a unique food menu. Again the food was terrible. The general manager did handle that situation well and gave us our money back for the birthday dinner. I would not go back there again.

Location: stunning Staff friendliness and helpfulness: excellent Management attitude and overall service: shockingly bad Health and safety: unacceptable and dangerous, ultimately forcing us to leave When we arrived, early evening, the “check-in” process was very “relaxed”, someone escorted us to our unlocked room. With hindsight, I’m glad they didn’t swipe a credit card as it meant we had no obligation to this place when we had to escape without paying the full week’s price - read on to see why… I want to re-iterate that the location here is just amazing. The bay is calm, gorgeous, idyllic, and within walking distance of real local food, sugar cane plantations, and the island’s only rum distillery which exports worldwide. There were some issues that they did manage to resolve while we were there: - Lovely private patios overlooking the beach, but with no furniture - No rubbish bins anywhere including the bathroom and kitchen - Apartment door didn’t lock - the first night we and our daughter had to rely for basic security on tying a table cloth around the door knobs… - 4 person apartment but only 2 chairs - Shower drain was blocked and backed up - Towels were missing - Patio light not working However there were many issues that were still unresolved on our 3rd day when we left early, some pretty major: - Flickering bedroom light, unpleasant to be in the room with the light on - Broken A/C in one bedroom, room temperature was 29-33C throughout our stay. They spent hours tinkering but never fixed it, and declined any workaround that I request like a portable air con unit or even simple fans - No hot water in the taps and shower. At least on our first morning there was lukewarm water, which is OK for some people for a shower in a hot country, albeit some people prefer hot water and it is a pretty basic expectation from any hotel - No water at all on the second morning, not even lukewarm, not even cold. The supply was intermittent - sometimes it flowed, sometimes you got a little dribble, sometimes there was literally nothing coming out of the taps or shower - Serious problems with both staffing and supplies in the restaurant. At breakfast, we waited around 90 minutes before receiving the first drink we ordered. Just think how many drinks they could have sold us and other customers during that time, if the first one came quickly… When our ordered food arrived, probably half of the items listed in the menu were missing. E.g. cheese and tomato omelette with no cheese or tomato, none of the bread, muffin or bagel that was promised on the side. And some portions were laughably small - like 6-7 thin French fries provided on each plate, or a single small spoonful of hollandaise sauce to cover two eggs Benedict’s - the staff admitting that they were trying to make the limited supplies cover many orders! - We asked for some iced water, and the waitress said they were running low on ice in the bar and would fetch some from the ice maker. We saw a member of hotel staff come out of a store room carrying a plastic bag of ice, which unfortunately burst open, spilling the whole bag contents on the dusty sandy outside floor. He then proceeded to fetch an ice shovel and an empty plastic drawstring rubbish bag, and shovel the ice off the floor into the bag. He then took it to the bar, and it was served to us in a jug of water. We could clearly see grains of sand in the ice and at the bottom of the jug. I tried multiple times to speak to a manager or owner to get the issues escalated and resolved, but sadly they declined or were not available. Which is why we felt we had no option but to walk away, at great cost in time and money and hassle. I hope that the management can be fixed so that future guests can enjoy the location.

The hotel is located in an amazing location with wonderful views. The rooms were clean but some of the furniture was a bit battered and the showers in our rooms were not working very well. The food in the restaurant was good and staff friendly but the service was very slow. We asked about other restaurants in the area as we wanted to get out of the hotel on the odd night. We were told there were no others. A short walk found a couple nearby. The staff were helpful in organising trips for us and were very helpful when we made enquiries prior to our visit.

Really bad with slow service, high prices and a finish that hasn't been kept for some time. Pizza was prefab, staff forgot what we asked for and the owner didn't seem to care. Waited more than an hour for both breakfast and dinner. Great location, could have been great.

We came here for 9 nights and had a deluxe suite, which consisted of a four poster bed, a kitchen and bathroom and a private balcony over looking the bay. The view was amazing. The air con was good and our only issue was the shower was a bit weak, we spoke to reception and it was fixed straight away. The food in the restaurant was good and the staff were excellent. David was a great host and his team looked after us well. Would come back again.
