The English owners, John and Judith, have made a very comfortable and friendly inn tucked in amongst the trees and flowers (mango, bougainvillia, hibiscus etc etc) on the far side of Marigot bay. Access is by 24-hour water taxi - we only ever waited 5 minutes at most - and free to guests. The sandy beach with palm trees and... More

I stayed at this resort for one night before boarding an Island Windjammers cruise. Pros: Room was spacious, and the restaurant is considered one of the best on the island (although pricey). Judith, the owner, is also extremely nice and communicative; she goes out of her way to make sure you have made plans. There's also a nice pool. Cons:... More

Judith and her husband certainly go out of their way to make you welcome in this special retreat. Do not worry that it is on an island the ferry/access is very easy. Animal lovers are in for a treat with the 3 dogs and 2 cats. Cracking walk or rather scramble behind the hotel but its not easy and you... More

The genuine hospitality and sincerity Judith and Marie showed us was unmatched to anywhere else we stayed in St Lucia. They ensured that our stay at Mango Beach Inn was comfortable. The location of Mango Beach Inn is just perfect, as it is nestled into rainforest. You are one with nature! The view of the sunset was simply beautiful. I... More

Hello May, Thank you for your review, we enjoyed meeting you and you are a very inspiring person. I think we all learned a lesson from your visit. It is the second time that we have had guests who did not really understand when they booked that Mango Beach is a ramshackle historic old stone built inn which is set... More

I had a fantastic weekend at Mango Beach - Judith, John, and everyone else (including all their lovely animals) were incredibly kind and hospitable. As a solo female traveller I couldn't have imagined a better place to stay. Although Mango Beach is a small establishment, Judith was amazing at organising everything I needed on the island - from local restaurant... More

Thanks Constance. We do get a lot of single, independent travellers and we're so glad you enjoyed your visit. You did a lot of exploring and as a sailor perhaps you will come back to Marigot for another trip on Island Windjammers - Marigot is a famous natural deep harbour, much prettier than many modern concrete Caribbean harbours and we... First I have to say that I usually never write a comment but in this case I need to do...in the positive way! We (my boyfriend and I) did spend 4 nights at Mango Beach Inn and it was just perfect! Thank you for your comments - glad you mentioned the ferry because sometimes guests get concerned about the fact that Mango Beach is only accessable by boat. they understandably think they might just be stuck on the beautiful beach side of the bay and not be able to go anywhere else. In fact, the ferry, run by Captain Bravo is... More

A real treat to be staying in someone's home opposed to an impersonal hotel. The shared/ lounge area is so relaxing a cool - it over looks the bay. Impossible not to get very fond of this place. Plenty of local knowledge if you need some guidance about what to do in the area.

Mango Beach Inn is definitely a home with a family running it! But the two rooms we offer our guests are private and both have separate entrances with patios and ocean views. The famous Harbour Room Guest Lounge which overlooks the historic harbour belongs to the guests - we serve breakfast there and keep it clean of course but apart... More

Thanks for your kind comments Crystal. We have a lot of local guests who return to Mango Beach and Rainforest Hideaway over and over again for mini breaks, anniversary celebrations and small family get togethers and over the years they've become part of the Mango Beach family.
