Eva and family were amazing hosts. The house is very beautiful and well maintained (which is unique for Cuba!). Everything about the experience was 5/5 stars. It is also a very short walk to the main square and shops/restaurants and only ~3min walk from the best music club in Santa Clara

We needed to interrupt the long buss drive to Santiago and decided to stay in Evas house. Regardless to our short stay, Eva suggested may places to see in Santa Clara. The room was clean and the food great. We highly recommend Casa Ernesto and hope one day to return.

We, Robert (31), Irina (30) and Viktoria (1), stayed for 8 nights in Santa Clara to explore the surroundings from Trinidad over Topes de Collantes till Cayo Santa Maria. All over the days, the host Eva was very obliging. Every second day we got freshly washed towels and every third we got fresh duvet covers. Additionally, Eva supported us with...

Eva's casa was the nicest place my friend and I stayed during our three weeks in Cuba. Her house is beautiful--huge plants everywhere, a back porch and front terrace, access to the roof where you can see all the various rooftops, buildings, and sunsets. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. My friend and I mostly kept to...

When I came here, I was greeted by her at the bus station, along with her taxi driver friend who took us to her Casa. Eva is a very nice person, who introduced me to some friends of hers who are also very nice people, I went out for dinner with her friends (and also now friends of mine) in...

We should have looked at the non-English reviews. Apparently it is not unusual for Eva to fail to honour a reservation, which is what happened to us. We had confirmed our reservation after booking our bus from Cienfuegos. We were met at the bus station and taken at our expense to another hostal, which did not have the same amenities...

During our one month trip in Cuba, staying at Eva's place was wonderful. Her colorful apartment has a real personality. You really feel at home. Her cafecitos and fresh fruit juices are also amazing. Moreover, Eva was very helpful on information and takes care a lot of us and our 9 months old baby. Definitely, we strongly recommend Eva (but...

I have stayed at Eva`s 3 times 2014-2015. When I was staying there on my own, she connected me with her Argentinian guests and we shared a cab to the Santa Maria Cayos and later went out to dinner together. Eva accompanied me on a stroll to the main plaza and took me to the home of a professor friend....

We have been travelling to Santa Clara for several years. We have seen a wide variety of cases particulares, none as accommodating or as down-to-earth as Eva's. She offers two habitationes; one is a single room c/w bathroom and a patio are for dining, the other a spacious apartment c/w kitchen and living area with a balcony overlooking J.B. Zayas....

This place was nice to stay at if the owner did not hit on me in front of my girlfriend and want 1 month of payment ahead of time. Never pay more than a week at a time because you risk losing your money. She asked me to leave after the week I did pay for. No hospitality!! I lost...
