Detailed Reviews
The Belmond Cap Juluca is a beautiful resort on Anguilla. Our room was exquisite, and the bathroom, with its wall of glass opening onto an enclosed courtyard was a light-filled oasis. The balcony was spacious with loungers, a table and chairs, and had a lovely uninterrupted view of the beach and sea. The wide, white, soft sand beach is incredible, and each room has a designated lounge area and umbrella marked with a conch shell with your room number, so no need to race to the beach in the morning to reserve space. Our room was maintained very nicely, and many times had already been made up by the time we returned from breakfast; turn-down service was timely and discreet, with ice and water provided. Our room was quite a distance away from the main lobby and restaurants, but golf cart shuttle service was just a call and moments away. All the staff, from the GM to the Bell Captain to the beach servers were so warm and friendly. Their love for their island was obvious and genuine; and all seemed sincerely grateful that we chose to visit Anguilla. The included breakfast buffet at Cips was very nice especially the location right on the water. There was an omelette station, lots of fresh fruits and juices, and a lovely assortment of breads and pastries. It would have been nice to have a mimosa included, but that was extra. We highly recommend a visit to this lovely island and this beautiful resort, and hope to return one day.

This was hands down the best resort my wife and I have had the pleasure of visiting. The property is immaculate and beautifully designed
Staff - Each suite has private hosts and Matisse & Derrell were always available via text to ensure our reservations were adjusted and confirmed. They were fantastic! If you have a room that has a door to beach access (do it!), you'll have chairs with Yeti coolers and umbrellas just outside your door! Carole and Clarone ensured our drinks were refreshed and the food we ordered arrived promptly. At the pool, Jonathan and Delano took great care of us. Gene (doorman) was gregarious and engaging. Gloria from Cips had great recommendations and Franklyn the sommelier suggested some really fantastic wines, which happened to be priced well. Eli, one of the F & B managers at Maunday's was extremely knowledgeable, but Caroms is a cut above - making some of the best cocktails hands down!
Food - My wife is vegetarian and rarely have we had each restaurant on the property offer multiple delicious options. Cips and Maunday's were great, but my personal favorite was Pimm's We stayed for a week, so a few meals we had off property were also fantastic including: Sharky's & Blanchards
Terrell, from Calypso, was our Captain for a private boat ride and provided a guided tour of the private residences we passed while visiting different beaches and snorkeling
We are already planning a trip to return. If you are loud and unpleasant , please stay at the Four Seasons

Our recent stay at the incredible Belmond Cap Juluca was so decadent. Every member of their staff (and I will call out just a few: Kevin Carty, Justin Time, Eulalie, Gloria and our personal favorite, Elecia many many more that I failed to note their names) were above and beyond. There was never a passing by without staff saying good morning or going out of their way to serve you and make you feel special. We felt completely safe during Covid as there were temperature and hand santizing stations throughout the property. The island adopted a "bubble" approach and it was quite fantastic. We dined at fabulous places on and off property (get the prawn linguine at Cip's, the lobster bisque at Pimm's, the burger at the Cap Shack and the mahi mahi tacos at Maundays!) We dined at Mangos (unbelievable homemade rolls); Ember (the brick roasted chicken!); Sharkeys (probably our favorite night on the island with incredible live husband and wife entertainment on their stage...save room for the pound cake dessert!); Blanchards (the brussel sprout caesar salad); and Picante for their signature tacos.
The beach at Cap is the softest, whitest powder with the bluest water I have ever seen. You are assigned your own lounge chairs and umbrellas and a beach host who takes care of your every need (stick around for the afternoon treat of the mango sorbet). They have these fabulous bikes you can use to tool around the grounds along with golf carts but your favorite way to to either walk the soft sandy beach or stroll the paths under the canopy of stars and low lit palm trees.

+1
This place was incredible - location, beach, rooms, service...everything top notch! I cannot recommend this place more its the perfect place.
Upon arrival they take you to an outdoor sitting area to check in and see the beautiful ocean. Our room was in villa 16 and was jaw dropping gorgeous. It was our honeymoon and they left a nice bottle of champagne and a dessert treat at check in.
The room itself was impeccable, the view from our room, the proximity to the ocean and the open air bathroom were beautiful.
Service was so amazing, they were the kindest people I've ever met. Turn down service each night included a baked treat and they made us feel so special.
Each villa came with beach chairs and a yeti cooler that was filled with water. my only complaint is that our beach chairs were only fully set up one time out of the 6 days we were there. Other peoples seats around us were set up each day but when we would ask them they would say "we werent on the list" that is my single negative comment.
The beach itself is amazing the sand is like sugar, and the water is clear and blue. All non motorized items are included and we used the paddle boards, and small boat.
Cap Shack was a great treat for lunch, and the breakfast location was so nice and for our package the buffet was included. Cips was so delicious and our favorite spot at the restaurant. Pimms was also great service but a little pricey.
Book this place immediately it was the best hotel I've ever stayed at and hope to visit many more times.

Dear deannah57, We are thrilled to read your amazing review! Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience at Cap Juluca with the world. We are sorry to learn of your non-beach-setup. Beach chairs are assigned to each room throughout the stay, including daily setup for all our guests to enjoy. This amenity is standard and generally seamless however, it will be reinforced with our teams. We apologize for this experience. We certainly look forward to your next visit and will ensure you have the best experience at breathtaking Maundays Bay. Kindest, Sasha Tyas, General Manager.

Our fourth visit to Cap Juluca this month was just fantastic. Everything about the stay at this paradise in the Caribbean was perfect. Let's start with reservations and management. Anguilla closed the portal we were approved under and on the day of our flight from St. Martin we found this out! Rosette, an absolute angel and Cap Juluca's reservations manager came to our rescue and got everything cleared up so we could enter the island. Managers Tiago, Lockhart and Kevin represent the finest in customer care and appreciation a resort could offer, and endeavor to make every stay a memorable event. Everyone went over and above in so many ways. Our room. We like to collect local flowers and decorate. The finest housekeeping staff in the universe including Magaly, Shelah, Gwendolen and Arley (my apologies if I missed anyone) made our room a romantic palace every day with flowers, a love offering of flower petals on the bed and the sweetest most perfect service every day. It is such a pleasure to see these ladies every day and interact with them. So much more than just cleaning the room! They each made contributions to our stay and we hope they know just how much we appreciate them all. Breakfast staff: St Clair, Priscilla, Michlin, Jacqueline, Fiona and Elicia thank you very much for your daily greetings, service and friendship. The highest level of service is clearly the goal here (and all over the property) and the time spent dining here is such a beautiful pleasure. The people make the difference and seeing the same people year after year is very impressive here in the restaurant, on the beach and around/in our room with housekeeping. The Cap Shack gets better and better and with Patson, Barbie, Justin and a super great chef and staff I just can't wait to have lunch with them all. Their spirit is high and welcoming every day and it really shows how much they all put into their jobs here. Beach: Carol and Jessica are just unbelievable on the beach. They are attentive and at the same time respectful of personal space. It is a pleasure to speak with them daily, and the way they take care of the beach is just fantastic. Where else do you return from a walk, or lunch to find that your towel has been straightened, and new ice is in the cooler? The way they serve food and drinks on the beach is first class in every way. They even held our 3:00 PM sorbet when we were late and delivered it to us as we returned to the beach or walked back from a late lunch. Our personal service provided by Kennedy and Linval was also exceptional. Taking care of our car, gifts, and other scheduling, etc., it was another way Cap Juluca sets itself apart from every other destination in the world. We loved every moment of our time here and the staff truly make a huge difference. Yes the beach is the best in the Caribbean, and the rooms are beautiful...but when the interactions with reservations, housekeeping, beach, restaurant and management staff is so wonderful, the whole experience is elevated to another lever far above.

This resort is blessed with the best beach in the Caribbean. The beautiful long white sandy beach extends along the entire resort in front of all of the rooms. So, wake up and step out and just a few steps away and you are at your beach lounges with umbrella and ever present service. Need something? The press of a button on your umbrella and the attendant is at your service. Don’t like sand? A beautiful pool is available with lounging chairs and an attendant as well. Hungry? There are four good restaurants on property. Want to do some kayaking or sailing? Water sports are available. Want to relax? They have a spa on property as well. Of course you can hire a cab to take you off to many of the restaurants nearby if you are looking for a change of scenery although you won’t find any better than right hear.
Downsides; expensive, not generous with replenishing anything in the room. Spotty maid service. Rooms have tile floors so they can be a bit loud and cold. The beds were very uncomfortable to me, the first time I’ve ever said that. If you do anything with the concierge you must follow up as they aren’t up to snuff with making sure things get done. Check and re-check your reservations made through them.

After 18 months of the terrible experiences that COVID brought to everyone, we were finally able to return once again to our favorite place – Anguilla and Cap Juluca. From the moment we arrived, we felt back at home. The entire staff welcomed us back with smiles and hugs – heartfelt warmth and happiness to see us again. There is no place like Cap. First and foremost, it is the people of Cap that make it so unique and exceptional. True, there is no beach quite as beautiful as Maunday's Bay with its powder white sand and warm, welcoming water, and the renovated rooms are lovely, warm and comfortable with the high quality amenities you would expect from a Belmond property. Sitting on the deck at night with the flickering lights of St. Maarten in the distance, the stars above and the sound of the gentle waves on the beach is one of the most relaxing experiences a person can have. The included breakfast offers a large variety of delicious choices served by wonderful people - familiar people we were so happy to see again and to find them and their families all well - in what may be the most beautiful setting of any place to dine on the island. The service on the beach was impeccable as usual. Housekeeping too was fantastic. The staff were warm and attentive, the room impeccably cleaned quickly each morning and turned down each evening. The people at the hospitality desk were extremely helpful with travel arrangements, particularly with the COVID testing and travel documents we needed on our return to the States. Thank you to all of the Cap people for helping to give us an unsurpassed vacation experience! We’ll see you in 2022.

Probably the best greeting by the front staff of any hotel around the world that I have ever been to!
We were located in villa number 16. On the second night we could clearly hear the guests speaking in the hotel room next ours. There was a connecting door between our rooms. There was also 3/4" plus gap between the door and the floor which allowed the sound of conversation to easily travel between the two rooms.
It was very windy. So windy that no one was able to snorkel, paddle board, use the hobie cats or kayaks. Because of the bad weather the umbrellas were buried deep and low in the sand so they would not blow away but shielded people from the sun.
I was told the wind at the middle and end of the resort is worse than the front and that we could not have our umbrellas up. We did not have our umbrellas set up and were not offered an alternative and went to the pool area instead.
The following morning the sound of our neighbors' conversation was so loud it actually woke me up. It literally sounded like someone was in our room!
At 7:45 am I walked down to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to Daniel and requested another room. Later on that day we were moved to a nicer room with no connecting door and set up with beach with umbrellas and a great beach attendant named Carol.
Thanks to the team at Cap Juluca for taking care of the problem with our room and for eventually getting us on the beach with chairs and a beach attendant.

We stayed at this stunning resort in late February and I am thrilled we got to experience this best-kept secret. The property was almost at complete occupancy but it didn't feel that way. Cap Juluca sits on a beautiful, private, white sand beach overlooking turquoise water. The rooms were spacious, modern, and inviting, thoughtfully designed with every necessity (including charging stations tucked in the nightstands). Personal room attendants provide an upgraded sleeping room experience, and beach attendant service can be accessed by pressing a button on the umbrella stands. Staff was welcoming, friendly, accommodating and service was solid. Food was very good. Any minor disappointment you might have quickly disappears once you take in the view. Belmond's Cap Shack bar - just a short stroll down the beach - is a fun resort offering with more casual bar food and drinks during the day. That was the only area of the property that drew a crowd, but the music was great and you could sit off to the side to enjoy it from afar if you didn't want to be in the thick of the bar scene. We loved the bikes that were easily available to ride around the property. The resort offers plenty of activities, but the overall vibe of the resort is catered to people who just want to chill out and relax. I've stayed at dozens of properties in the Caribbean, and Anguilla's Belmond Cap Juluca is one I would go back to in a heartbeat.

No kid’s club at Cap Juluca. I’d suggest a more chain like property if you’re really set on one.
Often they provide us with a bottle of nice sipping rum or even fine champagne. The mini bar is not free however. Yes this is a silly concern. Daily champagne sabering drink all you want, and on the beach our beach person brought a drink every day. It’s a fabulous place, and not inexpensive
The Cap team can coordinate any excursions you’re interested in taking. These restaurants are delicious: Straw Hat, SandBar, Dolce Vita, Picante, Ferry Boat Inn, Tasty’s, Nat’s, Trattoria Tramonto and Artisan. Enjoy!
