The Royal Inn + Suites is located in the centre of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL. Nestled on beautifully-landscaped lot, this property offers a wide range of options including luxurious suites and well-appointed guest rooms. All rooms include a fresh complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi internet. The hotel has undergone many renovations and improvements including expansion and renovation of lobby/breakfast area, a new fitness centre, a business centre, a courtesy guest airport shuttle, luxurious white bedding as well as updates throughout the rooms and suites. I had a relaxing stay in the signature suite. The room is wonderful - considerable attention to detail - like a bath bomb provided for the night, nespresso machine with four options, full size fridge, dishwasher, stove/oven (I didn’t use), and a luxurious multiple shower head/spray shower. The bed was extremely comfortable, it’s the best sleep I have had in a long time at a hotel. Very well done! I hope the hotel continues to be super successful- this efficiency suite is top shelf and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to the area.

The rooms are modern and clean with a kitchenette well stocked with any kitchenware you need to get straight to cooking. Located next to several restarants as well as a liquor store and a pharmacy, you can get by there without a car for the most part. Excellent accommodations in Goosebay.

Everything we needed was already there - and more, including a locally-made bath bomb which was an excellent surprise touch. Lady at the desk was wonderful. Your breakfast consisted of a cold muffin, hard boiled egg some dried out cheese and some pieces of fruit. Yes it is a pandemic just put a little thought into it. Room had badly stained furniture and carpets and a musty smell. I stayed on two different weeknights in one week in July and was charged two different prices for the room. I couldn't be bothered complaining as I just wanted to get out of there.

First time staying here and I am happy to say I will be back.
Immaculately clean guest rooms with all the conveniences, coffee machine, microwave and a fridge you can use and not for selling macadamia nuts.
The staff were friendly and accommodating.
Mine was a standard room which had a large deck overlooking a large softly lite grassy courtyard which has numerous seating areas should you wish to drink your morning coffee or have a night cap.
When visiting HVGB if you choose the Royal Inn you will not be disappointed.
I am currently writing this in my room in the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept

My pleasant stay at RI+S was splendid. The staff were accommodating, the service staff were prompt in their handling the suite cleanliness and maintenance. I enjoyed my stay and extensions. Would recommend this hotel for any visitors be for business or personal reasons.

Normally in love with this property, but this past weekend there was a huge mix up in rooms and was not resolved in a way that would have been satisfactory. Had a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen reserved, upon arrival I was assigned a room with just a double/queen bed, nobody at check in had told me. I only knew when I went to the room. Went back to front desk and they said we had an emergency situation thus the people in your room they will be keeping it, we will give it to you tomorrow. Friday came and still not the proper room, but moved me into another room identical to the one I stayed in Thursday night (said that the room I was in was reserved for another person). Was told that they still did not have have my proper but that they would give it to me on Saturday. Saturday came, I was asked to leave my room at 11:30 and would not receive the keys to the 2 bedroom suite until 2pm. room again this was not satisfactory, but was given the keys after I had complained.
What started out as a 4 night in a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen ended with being put in 3 different rooms over 3 nights. I decided not to stay Sunday night.
While I understand that emergencies arise, but its unrealistic to give away someone's room, the emergency people should have had to move rooms, not the person that has it already reserved previous.

It has been about 5 years since I've stayed here and there are many changes. They now have a separate restaurant that opens at 7:00 am and serves breakfast, lunch and supper. I normally stay in the executive suites and my room was great as usual. I visited colleagues in the smaller rooms (located in the main building) and found they were quite comfortable and had been recently renovated. There is a privacy fence around the property. A new to me addition was an outside seating area with a propane fireplace and adirondack chairs. Rooms are cleaned daily and the staff is excellent. Another welcome change is the shuttle bus to and from the airport.

Lady at the front desk was extremely rude, I tried to stay a second night and they told me I had to move rooms, which was fine, then she began to get angry because I was supposed to pay a fee for having my animal with me however, I booked the hotel room online as pet friendly and had my dog with me at check-in( different employee the night before ) I guess they didn’t charge me, but she was making it out like I had hid the animal from them. I have 100 pound husky, and I booked a pet friendly room, she began to get more hostile as I explain to her that I would pay the fee, but it wasn’t my fault. They didn’t charge me. I asked for the general manager’s information and she told me to “get out” extremely rude staff, not willing to help just point fingers.

I have stayed here several times and always have a great experience. The rooms are beautiful & comfortable and I love that they feature local artisans, artwork, handmade jewellery, soap, candles, etc for sale in their lobby. The staff are always super friendly and some now recognize me, when I come to stay. Will always be my choice when in HVGB.

Thank you for your question. We do offer a pet-friendly suite. It's a two-bedroom suite and there is an additional charge for your pet's stay, due to the additional cleaning required. If you are interested, I would suggest that you book as much in advance as possible as this room books up quickly. You may book this suite online (it will say Pet-Friendly in the room description) or by calling the hotel directly at 709 896 2456.

Thank you for contacting us. We do currently have availability for those dates, but that time of year books up quickly. Rate would depend on if you are looking for a guest room or a suite, ranging from $140-$190. I would recommend a guest suite on the main floor for $185 per night which has separate bedroom with queen bed, kitchen, and sitting area.
We are located about 10KM from the ferry, and there is a taxi service available. If there is no taxi available, we would give you a ride. Our beautiful property is tucked away in the Happy Valley area of town, close to many stores and restaurants.
