We had seen this hotel on previous vists and it didn't look too appealing but this time the location suited us so we thought we would give it a try. We found the car park, fairly small and more like a builder's yard but the entrance signed reception was closed. We walked round to the front to find the hotel... More

Having read previous reviews I was not looking forward to staying here, having 2 nights booked for me. However, I think they must have done it up a bit and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and the bed fab. Shutters and black out curtains but our curtain came loose on one side and no tea making stuff... More

The young folk running this place are making an effort to build the business in a town that is depressed and declining. Azincourt is nearby, the only reason one would come here, so there is not a lot of business with which to build a hotel. Old style - parking through gateway onto the street behind, creaky stairs, no lift,... More

The hotel was closed when we arrived and doesn't open until 5.30pm! The first room we were offered was tiny and scruffy. The next was larger and scruffy. The corridor outside had paper peeling off and the "ceiling" was made up of cardboard boxes laid flat across the rafters. The room smelled musty and unused.

I was taught by my parents that if you cannot say anything good about something , say nothing, I must however break this golden rule after staying in this Hotel. Les Flandres is a very tired hotel indeed. We arrived and were soon given our key to our room and direction to its location. This was up a steep narrow... More

Is's located near the train station, but in a very strange district: there are lots of Arabian, Indian and other people, restaurants and shops. You need to park your car near the train station (about 1 km from the hotel).A room are very small, bathroom is dirty. It's good to stop for 1 night, not more.

Stopped over on a London 2 Paris bike ride with a friend in September. A very warm reception, and then they rustled up a plateau repas at 23h30!! Grand breakfast set us up well for the ride to Paris! Rooms in progress of being renovated but our's was finished and perfectly acceptable. Would recommend.

we stayed here for two nights whilst on a short family break. The couple running the hotel were very nice, and helpful. We ate in the restaurant the first night and had a great meal- we wished we had done the same the following night. the beds were comfortable and our room was cleaned for us during the day. This... The Hotel les Flandres struggles to compete with a modern hotel, with some dated decor (especially the guest corridor on the first floor), yet the room we had was spotless, with a sparkling modern bathroom; it was small with a dubious colour scheme, but the sheets were clean, the bed comfortable and the towels plentiful and fluffy. The restaurant was packed... More

I stayed here towards the end of a week touring in France. I stayed at Les Trois Fontaines at Marconne on my first night. This is a 10 minute walk from Hotel les Flandres. On subsequent nights I used the Logis de France Guide and was not let down - until Hotel les Flandres. Location is pretty good - close... More
