This hotel is in 2 parts sepated by a half a kilometre. We stayed in the bottom section. The top section has reception, dining rooms, swimming pool and part of the accomodation. Our rooms were very clean and well kept with good air conditioning. The phone didn't work ( which was a bit inconvenient as you had to ring reception to get... located atop Wewak Hill, Boutique is the more luxurious of the two 'In Wewak' properties located 500 meters apart having pool, computer room, bar/cafe and dining room. Reception is plain but welcoming with a small lounge where free wifi is available. Two floors of verandah rooms, the upper accessed by stairs, on the eastern and western sides of the property... We stayed there recommended by our guides Kris, Domenica and Susan from PNG Adventures, and the hotel didn't disappoint and was quite a gem on the background of the surroundings. AC in the rooms, clean bathrooms and good beds, as well as a nice restaurant with delish food (try the crocodile, it's amazing). As far as I know, and could... More

Having stayed at a number of hotels in PNG, the Boutique is without a doubt the best. I recently stayed at the hotel when I first moved to Wewak and now live a short distance around the corner. The rooms are clean and comfortable and both restaurants are fantastic. The new grill menu has a variety of options and is... More

Having stayed there for a good length of time, I can say that I know of no other place in the area that even approaches this in quality of stay. Our pilots company wouldn't let him stay here, so each day we picked him up at his hotel and there was a substantial difference between the two. To have the... More

This is an average quality hotel in a lovely hilltop position overlooking the ocean. Thge rooms are basic but functional. The hotel does not have backup power and supply fails regularly. Staff are courteous and friendly but facilities are basic. Adequate for business but not a holiday destination. Reception is not 24 hour!

After a week on the Sepik the In Wewak Hotel was crisp, clean, efficient and a most welcome air conditioned respite from the heat. The pool was a necessary refresher also. it is good to have the restaurant an site, going out is unnecessary.

Had dinner there last night and was very much looking forward to the crocodile tail. I had stayed and eaten there on two occasions in 2008 and it was my favourite place, overlooking Wewak, clean, nice and well trained staff etc. For starters I had the salt and pepper squid. They were good but boring, just a bunch of deep... More
