This hotel is in a stunning location right on a private beach. It's one of my favorite places ever. When we have stayed here, we've either had the whole place to ourselves or there's only been another few people. It's tranquil and absolutely beautiful. We have been with our kids and they love the pool. Swimming in the ocean is also great here, not too much surf. Breakfast (included) is lovely- a platter of fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juice, and either eggs or pancakes. The food at dinner is also delicious, just takes some time to prepare. The location is off the beaten path, but Google maps and a car will get you here! I highly recommend this place, it's so special.
Baoba Beach is a very weird neglected hotel in the middle of nowhere. Dirty area and beach, neglected premises, bad food (frozen seafood, soggy rice) with expensive prices. Stay away. So many beautiful places in Dominican Republic , definitely skip this one.
We loved the private beach, gorgeous views, romantic chill vibe...and the great food (try the Dominican breakfast) and the owner who was a tasteful fun and laid back European who loves the DR. We are definitely coming back.
This hotel is isolated and out of the way but perfect if you're looking for a relaxing, secluded place to stay. There were very few guests at the hotel when we were there, so it seemed like we had the whole place to ourselves. The beach is good for swimming, and the pool is also nice. Food at the restaurant was decent. Our room was large and had everything we needed.Staff were friendly and helpful.
Far away and isolated. Very pretty grounds- beach is beautiful but could be rough. Rooms were beautiful and well decorated. We needed air conditioning as it was very very hot and humid without. The pool was small and very warm. Rooms have kitchens but are not stocked with anything to cook with. Staff was very helpful and attentive- however difficult to get what you need quickly as there are no telephones in the rooms and light staff in the evening. Food was good but buffet breakfast a bit uncomfortable to take from as the options are on small plates manned by staff. You are asked to choose what you'd like in the morning for lunch and dinner- so if you have a change of plans or are not sure how your day will be it is not easy to find food- nothing is close by or reachable on foot. Security was good and helpful. This would be best as a romantic vacation to disconnect. For us it was difficult as we were using the hotel as a home base to attend a party near by. Very off the beaten path and difficult driving at night to reach the hotel. Only wifi in restaurant and was spotty. No tvs in room. Could be a lovely place to be for a couple looking for quiet romance or a group that want to just hang out at the hotel. …
