Recently I was blessed to have a stay at The Bungalow at Strawberry Inn. My first POC was Marina, the property manager who set the tone for the entire stay. She is amazing and truly goes above and beyond! I found myself thinking as I was enjoying breakfast on the wraparound deck that, should I build a home, this is what I would do, exactly as it is! The four elk grazing 30 feet away by the creek seemed to agree! If, like me, you need a complete reset and love this area of AZ, book The Bungalow and immerse yourself in all of it's charms. I can't wait to get back to it! Sue Ritchie/Scottsdale
I have taken friends a couple of times now to Strawberry and stayed at the Strawberry Inn both times. When the air-streams went in, I knew I wanted to stay. They were all I thought they would be. Super cozy with sweet touches. The property is lovely and you will most always spot wildlife meandering by in the mornings. Bedding is lovely, it's super clean and just pretty overall. You definitely will not want to stay anywhere else.
I stayed in the main building in a dog friendly room #2. Well designed room with comfy bed, decent shower, and sofa and dog bowls provided. Best dog walks are from the trailhead just south of Pine, lovely in early morning. Monday night/Tuesday morning not a lot of choice for dining as many places closed including nowhere for hot breakfast in morning (recommended Early bird in Pine was closed). Windmill coffee was open. Couple of wishes. Check in at 3. There were 3 cars waiting for the codes at 4pm. Also no ice in mini fridge. I got a small cup full from Bandits restaurant (which was open but the food wasn’t great). And why does the Pie place play loud music all night? And all the extreme right wing political signs in pine-strawberry and opposite the inn depressed me. But this is a great place to stay with your dog (we are en route to Eastern Canada!)…
We stayed in the bunkhouse and it was perfect for us. It was clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the bunk house gave the five of us all the room we needed. We enjoyed the spa and large patio. Will definitely visit again!
We stayed in cabin #2 for one night to escape the Phoenix heat. The cabin was adorable and very clean. We saw a lot of wildlife which my kids loved. The corn hole and connect four games were a hit with the whole family. The kitchen was a great size for a short trip and we felt that we had everything we needed to cook a few meals. I was glad to only stay one night because we did not sleep well. Both of my young children were terrified of the height of the top bunk. They have had bunk beds at home but this one was quite high. We ended up having a hard time figuring out how to fit the four of us in a twin and queen sized bed. Otherwise, it was a lovely place and if we had more bed options I would love to visit again.
We really enjoyed our stay here, but we’re unfortunately falsely accused of causing damage to our cottage. Management has refused to speak with us regarding the issue, and has just sent a couple of rude emails and refuse to refund us the damage deposit. Continuous calls go unanswered, and voicemails not returned. Careful staying here as they may try to scam you as well for damages
Amazing trip, we love the little cottage and how clean and perfect it was. They had left a little bag of goodies for our dog Sugar and she felt right at home. Great service and friendly people town people and so relaxing. Thank You Strawberry Inn The Vawter's
Perfect getaway with the fam! We stayed in the Bunk House and it was wonderful. My kids were obsessed with the bunk beds and hot tub and I was obsessed with the full kitchen and cooler weather. The Bunk House has all of necessary amenities and space for a relaxing getaway and ample space for the kids to spread out and play. Everything was so clean and easy, too. Check in was all via email/text and check out was seamless. We can’t wait to go back and spend more time in Strawberry & the inn.
Hits almost all of the marks. Great location. Close to all activities. We stayed at a king cottage with a hot tub which was much appreciated after long days hiking. Clean, modern and comfortable. Super quiet a/c units plus ceiling fans which were a very thoughtful touch. My most favorite a/c brand found in many high end hotels. All of your dishes and mini kitchen items are there so you can enjoy takeout lunch or dinner. Upgraded refrigerator that was completely silent. Great sized bathroom with double sinks. We are both about six feet tall and the shower size was more than adequate. Some complained of not enough hot water but we had more than enough. Very quiet at night. King bed was super comfortable according to my husband. Good pillows and more than enough good sized towels. Appreciated the black makeup towel so as not to mess up the perfect white ones. Turkish spa towels were a fun detail. Red accents were cute. Appreciated having quiet hours. Lots of nice people staying there. Enjoyed reading the guest book comments. Strong WiFi. Earplugs included although we didn’t use them. Always appreciate a key code vs key card entry. Excellent customer service by phone and e-mail and some good restaurant recommendations that we appreciated. All A+++ I spend about 60 days or more a year in hotels and there are a couple of easily correctable misses here. There were no tissues, suave shampoo - so not good, six keurig pods for two days. Just provide two per person per day. Pullout bed was super uncomfortable. I slept there as my husband was recovering from an injury and needed his own space. There are amazing tempurpedic pull out sofas out there that would pay for themselves in spades with great reviews. Towels and sheets are washed with scented detergent. Would have liked specific room details at least a day in advance for peace of mind scheduling as opposed to 20 minutes before check in. Overall this is a 4.5 out of 5 well thought out inn with lots of nice touches that we would both recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay and enjoy for a few days in Strawberry. By far the best lodgings in town. Nicely done overall and definitely a winner in our book.…
We were given a gift certificate to stay here. Best certificate received! It was such a relaxing, quiet and cozy stay! Beds were very comfortable. We sat on our little Airstream patio and watched the Elk pass in front of us while we enjoyed the cool evening. Highly recommended!
