Although the room was small & up a very steep flight of stairs, we had a comfortable stay. Our breakfast was a really good full English breakfast which was enhanced by the service Lisa gave us. She was so welcoming ,nothing was too much trouble & if we were to return to the Bay Horse it would be because of Lisa.

First impression on arrival not brilliant, but we were warmly welcomed by Vicky, who was also very busy with pub customers. Reception is in the bar. Our room was on the second floor and the stairs are steep, s beware if you struggle with stairs. Our room was huge as was the bed, which was also very comfortable, we had...

My girlfriend an I had a great 2 nights at the Bay Horse. We were attending a friends wedding near by and I'm so glad we stayed there. Extremely friendly staff, amazing breakfast and a lovely town. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here this weekend the night before a wedding. There were 10 of us in total and we all found the staff to be extremely friendly and accomodating to our various needs. We enjoyed dinner in the evening and found the food excellent and the portions generous. The rooms were quite basic but nicer than you would expect for...

Stayed for 1 night over bank holiday. The only really good thing about the bay horse was the young lady who served us breakfast. The room was filthy, although the bed was clean. A lot of creaking floorboards, but I know to expect that in an old building. What was really awful was the thick dust around the room. Furniture...

Dropped in for a meal.. Awful. Slow slow service. A table of people arrived 30 minutes after us and were served at the same time. Very limited menu, which is fair enough, but the food, when it came, was uninspiring. Sausage and mash completely soaked in gravy and a beef burger that was burnt dry, accompanied by sorry looking veg....

For a return trip to Masham, we wanted somewhere to stay on a tight budget; the Bay Horse was just about the lowest cost available for a double room in a central location. On arrival we were able to park right outside on the street, and there is plenty of other free parking available. Staff were friendly and we were...

My wife & I stayed for one night. The staff were excellent & made us very welcome. Our room was comfortable & clean. One or two details in the room let it down a little, such as an electric socket hanging off the wall, but maybe this is nit-picking, it was overall pretty good & very good value for money....

We stayed in Masham a few years ago in a rented cottage, and every evening we drank or ate in The Bay, the atmosphere then was exceptional, what has happened to this lovely little pub? We revisited Maham for a few days this summer and were very much looking forward to drinking/dinning at The Bay Horse, my, my! What a...

I came here for the weekend with my Fiancé. Our room was clean, modern and cosy. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant/pub and it was really good food. It was very very good value too. We would come back if in the area. Also, would recommend a trip to the local breweries :-)
