We stayed in le vivier whilst traveling thru Normandy and were blown away by the detail , care , and intimacy of the place. We would highly recommend others to stay here at lion sur mer and staying that little bit out of Caen in this beautiful village. Transport into town is only 20 min drive or the local bus... More

We had a wonderful time during our short trip to Normandy in Le Vivier. The room on the 3rd floor was very clean with a spacious bathroom. The breakfast was well prepared and very enjoyable. A nice surprise have been our two new canine friends Apple and Cachou.

My husband, our friend and I had a wonderful two night stay at this lovely Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in the two rooms on the top floor and both were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Marie and Pascal were very friendly and welcoming. Each morning, Marie served us a delicious homemade breakfast at a table laid with china, crystal... More

It was a wonderful stay! We were there for four days while we toured Normandy. Marie and Pascal were lovely hosts, who opened up their beautiful home and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are lovely, and the breakfast delicious with homemade treats. Have to mention Stephan too, for his help in making/serving breakfast.😋 Thanks Marie and Pascal, we... More

Be still my heart....this was the essence of French charm & impeccable hospitality. The owners are welcoming & extremely accommodating...the rooms/bathrooms are spacious & decorated for comfort/beauty. Marie, Pascal, & Stephen were so genuinely helpful & friendly. They answered every question we had & made wonderful suggestions/recommendations during our 4 night stay. Pascal even offered us a calvados in the... More

We stayed at Le Vivier for 6 nights. Our host, Marie, was very knowledgeable of points of interest and was well prepared with maps and local stories including the history of the Manor House where we stayed. We felt very welcome, as both of our hosts were gregarious and warmly friendly. Breakfasts were amazing, home prepared dishes made from fresh... More

The room was perfect; spacious, light, and full of antique furniture and prints. We had our own bathroom across the hall. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room, the table adorned with fresh flowers and antique glassware. The food was delicious; as well as home-made preserves to go with the croissants and bread, there was a special sweet thing... More

I booked this B&B as a surprise for my husband's 50th birthday. We had originally intended to travel via the Eurotunnel from Calais, but with all the troubles, we decided to take the ferry instead. What a lovely surprise to find that the B&B is less than 30 minutes from Caen! The chateau was easy to find, isn't too far... More

I stayed here for four nights in August with my son James. Marie and Pascal gave us a warm welcome on our arrival and the room which is in the most wonderful house with a beautiful walled garden far exceeded our expectations. The room we had for our stay was tastefully decorated and you could have a choice of a... More

A three night stay at the end of two weeks in Normandy was a highlight of our trip. Beautiful accommodation and Marie's care and kindness made Le Vivier a memorable experience for my daughter and I. We stayed in a twin room on the first floor, Côte de Grâce, overlooking the large walled garden and appreciated the quality of the... More
