Had dinner on a Friday evening, enjoyed my oysters and seabass. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere and good service. Best tables seemed to be by the windows towards the sea shore. Would not hesitate to go back.

This is my first review in Trip Advisor, I have to say that the food was absolutely excellent, with a special mention to the home-made foie gras, one of the best I have ever had, and I know my foie gras as a Frenchman! This s a family-run hotel-restaurant, with a nice couple in the kitchen and their charming son...

We booked a table as we wanted a sea food platter for two. The food was delicious and we were well advised on the wine too. A very drinkable bottle of Rully. We could not finished our platter but managed to share a rum baba. The service was excellent. We did not use the menu as we knew what we...

Touring in October without any bookings can be a challenge but we prefer the freedom. Arrived in Luc Sur Mer to be told at the tourist office only two hotels were open - the first had its doors locked so then tried Le Beau Rivage and were met by the owner who was very friendly and provided a room overlooking...

Stayed here to be near the ferry in the morning, the whole area seemed to be shut! Managed to get a late room here as had no choice, the room was dreadful, like a student doss hole,so bad I didn't even use the excuse of a shower in the morning as the bathroom stunk, the whole place was a seventies throwback, had to eat there...

Very tacky menu's with simple food. No provision for vegans except a moxed salad with a bit of red onion added. Priced at 14€ a rip off. My sea food salad was absolutely drowned in an overpowering sauce, so much the subtle flavour of the seafood was lost. Again too expensive at 16€. The frites were well cooked. We would...

Hotel is a bit dated, but with polite staff. Price is reasonable. We stayed in two rooms on the first floor: one with sea view and one with city and partial sea view. The latter having a better bathroom and plumbing. The room w/ sea view had low water pressure. Both rooms were clean and comfortable enough. Neither are sound...

We arrived at about 7.10 p.m. on a Saturday evening and were told to come back in ten minutes,so we went to la Paillote (which was first rate - see my review). We should have been asked if we'd like a drink and offered a seat. The ten minutes could have been spent over aperitifs.

The Le Beau Rivage is the jewel in Luc-sur-mer's crown. The village itself is a very quiet place with limited resources but nestled at one end is this charming hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, at check in we were offered the sea view room we had booked or the option of one overlooking the road but which...

I've often fancied staying at this hotel when we have driven past because of its superb location. We had an overnight stay after arriving at Caen by ferry in the evening, before our drive down to central France. The hotel is a charming typical Normandy small hotel almost on the beach. Our room on the third floor ( no lift)...
