If you ever wanted to visit a lighthouse or take photos of it, Savudrija is your place. It is but a 90 minute (7 km) walk along the coast from Umag – but you’ll have it in the immediate vicinity if you’re staying at Rooms Savudrija. The Lighthouse is the oldest on the Adriatic coast, built in 1818 by an Austrian politician who supposedly hid there with his mistress. Very romantic. You'll be staying in the building two steps from the beach. Greatly located, affordable rooms. Half board accommodation is available in our buffet restaurant, for guest seeking no frills meals. Animation for kids should help a bit too. You can cycle to see the numerous sights or ride a jet ski all afternoon. Go for a stretch in the morning then work on your tan. Spend a day at the beach, grab a shower and head out.

Facilities are budget! If you know that's what you're going to, you'll be fine. The biggest problem is the lack of air conditioning and the fact the pool is saltwater. The apartment itself was very very tired, interior made entirely of chipboard, and very very chipped. It was clean on arrival though, and we asked for missing items (plates, tea towels and a kettle) which were promptly delivered. Internet was £15 for the week - I feel this should be included with the accommodation cost. Towels were changed 3 times in the week we were there, and the stairwell lights worked intermittently. Set your expectations low - it's similar to the Pontins in Wales (which we go to annually for a chess tournament) - functional, but not much more luxurious than camping. Also, be aware of the drive to get anywhere. About 35 mins to Porec, and over an hour to Pula. The water park nearby by fab! And we loved walking through the campsite along the beach to the campsite in an evening. Kids found a little shop on the campsite that sold fruit and veg grown on site. The kiosks by the beach sold ice creams, fresh bread and pastries, beach toys, postcards etc... and canoes / SUPs available at a reasonable cost. Whatever you do DO NOT book half board. We went in on the first night to look and it was very very basic and not looking at all appetising. There are lots of places to eat cheaply off site.

Well.. when we saw the pictures it was ok, nothing special. But when we arrived there it was horrible. The furniture is so old and socialistic, they could put some effort in renovation. We had divorced beds as a couple? Ok. Tv have 5 channels, when the weather isnt good what can you do? Nothing. Wifi- you must pay for it, its not expencive, but everywhere is wifi free and here we must pay it? Why? The bed si not even bed, its like a zofa. Sheets were clean and that is only good thing. We payed 50 eur for one night, its not expensive but for what we got is too much. In price is also included breakfast, but we didnt go. Our goal was just to get out of there as soon as possible.

Dear Sarakor, First of all, I would like to thank you for choosing our Resort Savudrija for your stay in Umag. I am sorry if the accommodation unit was not in line with your expectations. Feedback is very important to us and we are always grateful if our guests share their opinion with us. All the comments, positive ones but also constructive critics are a great help in the improvement of our offer and that's why we are so grateful for all the feedback. Our goal is to provide always a better service to our guests and I am sure that we will find a way to arrange all the possible inconveniences you have experienced during your last visit. Regarding the Internet, the cost of 3 days is 60 kunas and I must say that every year, following the trends and comments from our guests, we are reducing the costs and improving the service. I hope that you will be our dear guest in the future and I kindly ask you to contact me during your stay in order to assure you a very pleasant holiday. Kind regards, Anita Mišković General Manager

This is such a terrible place.... Its called a hotel but its NOT.. Its the absolutely unworthy of the money... They say it has 3stars but one is more than enough... We have kids, we dont need airconditioning, free wifi (paid for reasonable price 60kn/3 days), but the problem is... People do not do their jobs....!!!! The accomodation is old but the cleaners do not even clean up... In a HOTEL the cleaner came once in a week to clean floors (you are in a forest so you bring mess in room, balconies are dirty too), cleaners do not do their job properly... Everywhere in the building there are ants , we had them every evening moving in hundreds... The cleaners came after the reception called them, they put some spray but didnt even clean up the falling ants from the wall... I had to clean it with my towel... Perfect for a hotel.... Then the rooms... The management cannot be reasonable to put family with two young kids (one in pram) to the second floor without a lift and no change possible... Incredible.... And the restaurant???? Disgusting choice of cooked meals , everything same all evenings, without salt, really disgusting even fruit... I have been to many facilities with kids but have never seen anything so horrible..... But the staff here was very nice and the dining room has adorable views on the sea.... And yet... I have never seen so many Polish people behaving so rude and almost jumping over my baby pram just to get to the dining room even if it was empty... As I said... I have been to many hotels, met many kind Poles but here this was unbelievable... If you have any other chance, please dont go here.... Istria is such a beautiful place, dont let this place destroy your opinion... I havent seen such a bad "hotel"....

We only stayed for 2 nights and in my opinion location is good right on the sea, quiet at night, pleasant atmosphere. There are facilities to enjoy,if you have a bike there are paths you can go along the sea.It is nice place overall. We had half board and found the food to be not the best one we have had.Variety is limited to boiled pasta, one type of meat, one type of fish, some sauces .We are not fussy but quality of food was just not good.Breakfast was same as most of the cooked things were not very well done. For someone not very fussy may be Ok. There is no fridge in bungalows and this was a problem in 35°C heat. Also no free wifi which most places provide for free.Found it really expensive for the quality and standard of accommodation provided.

substandard even by Croatian standards, Moj Mir isn't a hotel ( they sell it as 3* hotel), there isn't a reception in the building, on signs around the object it doesn't say it's a hotel, it's another pathetic building from Stalin era, building is open to anybody to enter day and night, substandard furnishings, as cheap as it can get, no a/c, you know you are in a third world country, good for one night stay if no other option is available
