Unbelievable farm stay. The setting is spectacular in the foothills of the Slovenian Alps. A bit of a challenge to get there along winding mountain roads, but well worth the effort. The farm and all the buildings are beautiful: A rich and charming farmhouse and a beautiful old animal barn with a horse riding ring. The hosts (Katarina and Marco) are amazing: warm, welcoming, accommodating, and communicative. Such a beautiful family. The food is wonderful as well. Home-cooked meals with homegrown ingredients. Best food we had on our 10 day trip, especially the dinners. The location is about 35 minutes from the nearest towns and an hour and a half drive to Ljubljana. We would highly recommend this stay if the remote location isn’t a problem for your travel plans.

We were at Farm Pri Flandru from July 31st to August 3rd and had a wonderful time. The farm is idyllic, quiet and surrounded by nature. Perfect for slowing down and enjoying nature. What we liked best were the lovely hosts, who enriched our stay with their warmth and hospitality. It felt like we were staying with friends. The breakfast and dinner were also excellent, which consisted mostly of produce from the farm and was simply delicious. We would love to come back :)

A beautiful and quiet place for those seeking peace. Katerina and Marco together with their family and their wonderful dog Bela made us feel at home. Very welcoming, kind, helpful, nice people with a big heart. I can't find any faults...excellent and functional room and services. We had a very good time and we would like to return soon to enjoy the excellent cuisine that Katerina prepares for her guests with so much love.

After visiting Kmetija pri Flandru no one can say that fairy tales do not come true. This place reminds me to fairy tales I read in my childhood. We reserved a table for us with our four dogs. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They welcomed us with open arms and hearts and provided a quiet place for us and our dogs. Abundant, excellent homemade typical Slovenian food, tasty soup, žlikrofi (it should be specially mentioned), excellent main course. All of this at very moderate price. An exceptional atmosphere accompanied by live accordion music. Travel/driving to the place can be a challenge. Do not hurry. Take your time. It will pay off.

We had a clean room with lage bed. Only a small bathroom with no ventilation. Homemade diner was good , the breakfast was ok accept the coffee. Katherine and Marko gave us a warm welcome. I think it is a great place to stay for couples with children and those who like nature and farming. Price - quality was good.

The hotel is a family friendly place. Offers great breakfast and dinner. The rooms are not too large, but clean and comfortable. Ideal place for relaxing in the picturesque Slovenian mountains. There are two main routes to get here: from Hudajuzna there is a 4 km long dirt road, or you can take a 30 min long detour down to Koritnica and going in the direction of Bukovo. The dirt road is relatively well kept, but requires a driver who has used dirt roads before or a 4*4.

Amazing experience at this farm. Very Nice and helpful people. They run there farm bio organically. All the food they serve is from there own garden and animals. All homemade food and very nice people! Worth the drive! A lot of hiking trails with great views. English speaking and big, clean rooms with wifi. Traditional slovenia food served every day with good wine and coffee. Very knowledgeable of the area with good advice of where to visit.

I've been to Kmetija Pri Flandru for five days with my family. I can say that this is heaven on earth. Although very difficult to find - for the first time ( set your GPS to Bukovo not Zakojka. Bukovo is only about 2 km from the Kmetija and signs will lead you) it's worth all the driving to reach. Living with this family is just a great experience in a very welcoming environment even Hundi the German Shepard welcomes you :).
Food is excellent and rooms are comfortable, I recommend half Board Basis as there are no restaurants around. Different Slovenian typical food is served every day and considering it's quiet cheap. The surroundings are just breathtaking.
The family is adorable especially Katarina.
