Well deserved getaway. It's labeled as a family hotel, however that's not to a bothersome level. The grounds are pleasant and full of plants and palms. The beach is less than 50 metres away and not overcrowded, which is a major plus nowadays. The dining satisfies with its variety and also vegan-friendly options. The beds are large and comfy.

Booked with Jet2holidays as we wanted a four star hotel, all inclusive but with one family room for 3 adults and 2 grandchildren. However two bathrooms was deemed essential. We found the Playadulce hotel met our requirements and its star rating. The flight landed at the small Almeria hotel and we paid a nominal fee for a private transfer which turned out to be a rather large mini bus. Check in was reasonably quick. I preferred a sea view and the staff told me we could have one the following day on the 10th floor which we could view first. I wanted to move but the family wanted to unpack and start the holidays stating the room was for sleeping there only. I found any requests were delivered within an hour. Extra pillows then two extra towels. Great service. Rooms good with a stage coach bunk bed. Great, the twins had the top bunk on alternate nights to stop the arguments. Rooms cleaned daily, air conditioning excellent. However still this crazy daily charge for a room safe. All inclusive excellent and great service by the bar staff from 1100am. Pool opens at 10am so not reserving beds before then however always plenty availability. Pool clean and large with a separate water park. What we discovered was this is essentially a hotel for Spanish guests. At times we did feel like interlopers but cannot explain why. Due to these facts we expected some bias in the form of food in the restaurant and it was no problem due to the large selection available. However we always found good quality food to our taste. The fresh cooked steaks were VERY tender, the prawns fantastic. English kids liked chips but you had to get in the line for the grill! Chicken nuggets can be ordered in advance. Wines served by the bottle were good quality. When you left, if you gave your room number the wine was delivered at your next visit. Breakfast food was good with the essential pancakes for kids with Nutella. Weather was exceptional so who needs more than the pool of he adjacent beach. The the kids club is something which we normally encourage. However as it was heavily biased in a Spanish language but with very few English kids we would not allow them to go. However as it was so warm the cooling water was more than enough entertainment. Evening entertainment was in Spanish, but again our kids had no siestas so were ready for bed at 2130 so nothing lost. We were thankful that the Jet2holidays rep Christina pointed out all the essentials many of which I have reported in this note but all of the experiences gave us the seven day holiday we were looking for in the sun with the family and at a reasonable cost. A good holiday was had by all.

Great Hotel right at the beach. Clean. Friendly Staff. All-inclusief is not really All-inclusief. Snackbar and Nestle icecream you need to pay. And not all type of drinks are included. Food at the restaurant is good a lot of choices only not everything is warm. Pool opens at 10:00 o'clock which is quite late and closes already at 19:30 hour. familyroom is spacious with 2 bathrooms an room for 6 people.

I was worried about choosing this hotel when I read the reviews . Travelled in a party of 7 including grand children aged 9 and 6 I shouldn’t have worried We had a fantastic time children loved the pools and slides, the food was excellent my daughter is a vegetarian and didn’t have any trouble with finding plenty to eat Our rooms were all on the same floor a few doors away from each other the children and parents had a themed room which they all loved two bathrooms and plenty of space. We had a double room dark decor very clean . The beds we all agreed were the best we had ever had hard but comfy. The staff at the hotel worked very very hard and were friendly There is a pub hidden away on 4th floor on left out of reception which we took a few days to discover We went to mini Hollywood very enjoyable and as we were all inclusive we were able to show our room cards and have lunch in the restaurant . The harbour is a 15 min walk away and lots to see and buy. We were only there for a week and would have liked to have visited The Wall from Game of Thrones which is in this area. The hotel entertainment was ok the worst was audience participation and the magic which was not to my taste uses birds the flamenco was excellent We had a great week in Spain in a Spanish hotel with Jet2 whose rep Christina was great
