We booked a stay in mid December 2021 only to be told that the hotel would be closing over that period. The matter was resolved with exceptional professionalism, excellent communication from the G. M Robin who went over and beyond to help us. I can’t praise him enough, a true asset to the hotel. Thank you
We stayed in a king suite on the top floor and it was overall a very nice stay. The suite offered spectacular views from the 25th floor, it was stylish and very spacious (by Swedish standards), the bed was comfy and the property has a very good location (adjacent to a large shopping mall and near public transportation, highways, nature and Arlanda airport). So far, so good. However, it did have one major drawback - the heating/AC system was terrible. Both rooms in our suite were freezing no matter how we tried to adjust the thermostats and even with three extra radiators (provided by the hotel when we complained) it was uncomfortably and unacceptably cold. So much in fact that I would not return without bringing a couple of powerful space heaters. There was also a severe lack of outlets in the suite, so I would also bring an extension cord and a USB hub :)…
It is a good hotel for both family trip and business travel. The room is cleaning. The breakfast is good. It is close to the Mall and Solna center. The hotel is new and has air-conditioning system in the room. However, it is difficult to navigate to the entrance of the hotel by the Google map.
Well this is a hotel with a great potential as a DINK's hotel. Why only 2 out of five then? Well the rooms are nice but it is worn down and no boiler for water or coffee machine, first time I've come across this in a hotel of this standard. But the view is great if you are high enough, nooo not that kind of high! Tje first floor bar wasn't open when I was there so I can't give any feedback here. Over all it feels like the hotel is waiting for the pandemic to pass.. The staff was great and so was the gym!
Needed a quick one night stay in the area and found the price, location and inclusive breakfast as a great choice. Very convenient to Mall of Scandinavia and inclusive breakfast was very well stocked, organized and nice.
Just spent another night in suite 2503 on the top floor and while the suite itself did not disappoint (except when it came to HVAC and room temp, which was too cold for comfort), the Covid-19 reponse did. Since my last stay in July, the breakfast had somehow gotten significantly worse from a Covid standpoint and not all staff members wore their face masks, despite Nordic Choice policy to do so. I will note, however, that the hotel itself continues to provide excellent value, and if it just got Covid-19 measures and room temperature right, it would be a slam dunk.
Stayed one night at this hotel, have stayed here once before, and was very pleased even this time. Got a room high up with lovely views, including the Globe in Stockholm, spacious and well-cleaned, very comfortable beds. Friendly and accommodating staff. Due to the Corona pandemic, the breakfast buffet was minimal, but still fully adequate.
The hotel is very close to the Mall of Scandanavia and you can cut through the mall to get to the metro station that takes you right downtown. The rooms were good size and the beds very comfortable. Very clean. Reliable wifi.
The hotel has the normal but high quality hotel standard. It’s located just by mall of Scandinavia with a huge selection of restaurants and shops. It’s about 10min walk mainly in Doors torget pendeltåg that takes you citycenter in 6min. It’s a big hotel and the drawback is that some things gets very large scale like the breakfast that gives a little bit of a school canteen feeling. But overall a very good hotel.
I wasn’t expecting the same quality as other Nordic Choice hotels but that we would end up freezing and having to change our own dirty sheets was beyond lowering of standard. We took the family room, and besides having really unsafe bunk beds (who ever designed them thought of teenagers or young adults not kids 6-12), we froze the whole night. Our card was in place the whole time, and we raised the temperature but the thermostat was on a steady 19c. Even my husband who never feels cold, froze. We stayed for 3 nights, we barely slept. The staff tried their best, but like most hotels I suspect the heat is controlled centrally and no maintenance was working during the holiday. We spoke to other guests who has the same issues with very cold rooms. The cleaning was sub optimal. Our family room lacked covers under the sheets and there was dirt under the sheets. There was no vacuuming done at all during our stay. It is very unpleasant as the rooms are fully carpeted. The staff did their best to help us and we changed rooms, but as the problem was probably throughout the hotel, the freezing continued. The breakfast was ok. However, one could barely find a place to sit and it was crowded and noisy. Most things ran out and were not replaced. The breakfast staff were nice and helpful though. In summary: this hotel is more like a hostel for families. The breakfast feels like you are at the most hectic time of the day at IKEA. It has been one of the worse hotel stays I have had. …
