Well not so sure where I should start but firstly I was away for a short business trip and decided to choose this hotel due to the location which was very suitable for me. The images that are provided on the actual website is no where near the reality let me just say this. The room it self is tiny, I mean the whole cleanness was 6/10. The appliances in the room such as kettle, ion, tv were working although the ion nearly ruin my shirt as it was damaged. In the room it self the temperature was cold and although you switch he heating on to the max it does not heat but it makes a strange and load noise during throughout the whole time and also through the night where it is hard to sleep as it goes off every hour. The reception staff was friendly and good but apart from that everything else is very outdated and needs to be refurbished to meet the requirements which they state. Wont recommend and wont be coming back again.…
Its no longer Radisson. Bew owners and something is seriously wrong here. I feel sorry for some of the staff who were understaffed and by the looks of it fairly new at the place. Some of the stress and tension lead to staff in the restaurant, acting really bad, lashing out and acting generally unprofessional and strange. I have actually never experienced anything like this before. We had to wait more than an hour to order… then another hour for the food and when it finally arrives we get starters and main courses at the same time. Im sorry for the staff to work in this place.. but some of the staff were just really not professional. Icing on the cake.. on the Sunday morning/am (when it should be open) lets close the pool and decide to clean it when all kids are longing to play. Disapointment.…
First of all, this hotel is no longer a Radisson. It is now called "Royal Park Stockholm" so you can't book it through Radisson. The website had changed. I live nearby and have had a few meetings at this place before, and needed a vacation without leaving the country. This seemed like a good choice, a sort of spa hotel amid nature and quiet. I am a frequent traveler - have been to 42 countries - and know generally what to expect from a hotel. The first negative was the front desk help. My check-in experience had several hitches that were abnormal. Perhaps it was a problem with the computer system or something, but it was difficult to check in, and they did not even have my reservation recorded. I had to show them my email about it in order to prove it. Then, they had trouble taking my credit card. All this could be easily forgiven if the staff were kind an apologetic, but I kept feeling unwelcome and like I was an annoyance. Most travelers arrive stressed from their journey, and it's important that they are greeted kindly and calmly. Four out of six interactions at that desk were quite negative - as in unfriendly and unhelpful. Two were very positive. The room was fine. I wanted to avoid the sterile, white look that has become so popular but which I find jarring and unpleasant. This room had a lot of wood and was warm and cozy. The only downside was that it was not entirely in great shape. It offered a few conveniences like coffee and tea and a hairdryer, but they were not great. The hot pot was very small and the hair dryer would not stay on more than 30 seconds. The rest was quite nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. The noise level on the weekend was loud and late - until 2am there are people on the dance floor and in the dance studio below, where two sets of loud music are playing. If you want a great night of sleep, stay over on a weeknight. One big plus was the exercise facilities. The indoor pool was really nice - more than the usual bath tub - and the gym (mostly a boxing ring) offered a few nice pieces of equipment. All the staff were kind, and this comes without charge with the room and includes towels. The disappointment when I visited was that the saunas / steam rooms and hot tubs were under repair and not available. Another upside was the food and setting. Staff will even bring your menu order out on the waterfront where there is a lovely deck. The yard and covered tent area are wonderful, and there is an outdoor gym. The huge "Royal baths" under the stars are a unique feature. The Royal Park Stockholm is really a peaceful place to retreat from city life, with plenty of luxurious amenities including lounges as well as walking paths through woods. I would return.…
Let us start with the pluses: friendly service, Covid-19 measures, spacious lobby and restaurant area, spacious and clean rooms with amenities, fabulous view of the lake, tranquil after 20:00 hrs (and if you are for fun and night life, Mall of Scandinavia and Solna area is very accessible), good selection of vegan (and non-vegan) breakfast. There is so much you can do within and outside the hotel, depending on your interests and duration of stay: run/walk in nature and Hagaparken (it is so big and so beautiful to explore), Fjärilhuset (Butterfly sanctuary), kayaking, outdoor gym (aside from their indoor gym), they have a swimming pool (which I did not visit), experience the Royal Bath (fee), featuring different themes for street food with entertainment, and more. Any negative: parking costs 180kr/24 hrs but that is something that other establishments will most likely charge too, depending on who owns and manages the parking spaces.…
Visited as two couples, we live just north of the hotel up the E4 about 1 hour. We were looking forward to a evening at the bar enjoying drinking plus the spa, the sauna and a great breakfast in the morning. But, they closed everything and it ended up being a kinda dull early night. The breakfast was on trays and the juice in boxes like school lunch so we had a snack and just left early. If you just want a room for the night it’s going to be ok. Parking is expensive and it’s in the middle of nowhere so you need a car. Karolinska not too far away but staying at Radisson blu Viking and using bus three is a better option. Not much to say really, once the amenities are taken away it just becomes a expensive early night B&b and a early departure back up the E4. Visit it after corona to maybe get a more fair review and experience. …
Rooms were great and the hotel experience. Breakfast is a dissappointment there should be alternative for vegan and not vegan... real bacon is missing in the breakfast table, it took time to refill the food.
Nice hotel to stay for a few nights. It is close to the city center, the personnel delivers a friendly service of a high standard. The Gym has all the equipment to do your exercises or power training. The hotel is situated at the Haga park, which is an excellent location.
Thanks Royal Park for a very nice evening with great music! A very good gig by Paulo Mendonca, and the band playing before the main event was perfect for the lovely atmosphere outside in the bar, restaurant and lounge. Had a bite to eat before Mendonca and band went on stage, the menu offered was good and well balanced with burgers, steaks and pizzas (vegan dishes as well for those who likes that...). I must also mention the view over Brunnsviken which is very beautiful a summer evening like yesterday! So, summary: a nice place in a beautiful relaxed location in the Hagaparken by the lake (is it a lake? :P) with great atmosphere! (I was not an overnight guest, just visiting for the evening)
Beautiful hotel, great location, friendly and helpful staff. The showers in the spa area need a little attention, other than that just great. Coffee at the breakfast buffet is actually good! Recommend for families.
The hotel is nicely located by the water and a big park. It looks like a castle when you approach but when you enter you are thrown back in to the 80ths. The room last saw a renovation 1985 based on the looks, furniture and beating from time. I will stay away until there’s a major renovation done. You pay for 4 stars but get 80ths interior and and old bathtub of yellow plastic that probably once where white.
