We stayed there for 3 nights, we booked a smaller room, but we’ve had an upgrade and the room was a suite instead. Great view, great service, great food. The hotel is really per friendly, and our dogs could come in the dining room with us, if we wanted. They have a special formula which includes breakfast, snacks in the afternoon, and gourmet dinner. We loved everything.

Very relaxing, excellent restaurant for the guests in the evening . We stayed in one of the suite, spacious comfortable and well served. From the owner to the last employee we received care and attention. The chef is an artist and you should never missed the desert.

when booking 2 units for 6 days,we missed the fact, that this was a Hotel allowing dogs as well as offering a nudist area,Most dogs were well behaved, but there were 2 dogs running around free and messing all over the grass/poolarea..Unfortunatley on check-in we were rushed and were left to find our way to the room and facilities. We were not informed about any facilities and services offered. Since we stayed for 6 nights we figured it all out ourself. I am surprised that a hotel that is pet friendly has carpets in the corridors and rooms, this is rather ungyhenic. The rooms booked also did not have aircon which is not acceptable for a 4* hotel. The aircone in the dining room (extremly hot) was not working the first 2 days, this was then taken care off. The food offered was a wide variety but it seemed that at times, it was student chefs in the kitchen that really tried to present a 5 star meal but didn't always succeed. Some soups tasted rather watery but the other meals were good. The seafood buffet was amazing, the variety offered was very impressive. Some more staff could resolve in better service.

Searching for a dog-friendly hotel is not always the easiest, but the Hotel Wiesenhof were fantastic from the start. We stayed for five days in one of the apartments with our 6-month old Labradoodle. It had plenty of floor space for puppy to play, a lovely bathroom with walk-in shower and a well-stocked kitchen area for food preparation (even a kettle for those of us who love a hot cup of tea after hiking - we were impressed, as not many European hotels include this!). The hiking direct from the hotel is superb, and the staff gave us good tips for different routes to take. Although the weather wasn't brilliant all the time (April weather!), there were plenty of places in the hotel to relax, including gardens and a lounge / bar. There is also a lovely spa area, both adults-only (be aware of the no-bathing suit policy in the sauna there) and a child-friendly area. Not only did the hotel cater superbly for dogs (there were quite a few staying there at the time, and all impeccably well-behaved), but they also catered brilliantly for my husband with coeliacs. Gluten-free options were available for both the breakfasts and dinners we had in the restaurant. (Dogs are not allowed in the food-service area, where the buffet is located, but there is a separate dining area where people with dogs are seated). The chef/staff were friendly and very thoughtful in providing GF options. We only have positive things to say about the Hotel Wiesenhof and will definitely return for another break.

In a super little village this excellent hotel has all the facilities you could want for a wonderful stay. Care is needed in decoding the menu a sensible German dictionary beside you is good. Why not just take a pin and then a chance and see what comes. I doubt anyone would be unhappy. We visited as guests of a local couple. It would be hard to return the compliment in the UK. Very well done. WE intent to return and stay much longer.

We have been to Hotel Wiesenhof several times with and without kids. We can recommend both. The rooms a excellent furnished with a modern south tirol style. Rooms are big enough to fit 2+2, each room has a balcony and a nice and modern bath room. Perfect and very friendly service, room service etc. Heated indoor and outdoor pool, various sauna (with special sauna 'aufguss' done by Peter :)) and massage and other wellness treatments. Wonderful food, each evening a 4/5 course menu with a large selection. Not to mention the delicious wines from the region. The place is perfect for relaxing vacations as well as outdoor activities. The hotel owner offers hiking trips several times a week, you can rent e-bikes,... Skiing is also just around the corner :) we love the place in spring, summer and winter!

i have purchased a voucher on e-bay (120 eur: room+breakfast) and we stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The room on the 3rd floor was very nice, spacious and of really good quality, also the staff was very friendly. The cleanliness of all the hotel is very good. As it was raining on the second day we enjoyed the swimming pool and saunas (free apples, tea, jouce,..). wi.fi in the room is available free of charge and you can also watch several TV channels in german and english language (not always available in Italy). For the dinned and afternoon snake I paid 20 eur per person. Hiking routes start just few meters from the hotel and they are well marked (with many resting places). I can recommend the hotel and will in the future come again.

this is a wonderful family run hotel in a fantastic location. however, you need a basic grasp of German or Italian to stay here as few people understand much English, although one receptionist's English was excellent. the location is perfect - nestled in the alps in a very picturesque village, about 30 mins from the nearest town of Merano. it's an excellent base to go walking in the alps, and you don't even need a car - the public transport is very good and the hotel organises guided walks twice a week. the food is excellent - a great variety of food, and excellent for vegetarians also, although again, care is needed with translating the menu! the staff are very friendly and helpful. the facilities are superb - large comfortable rooms, a great indoor spa area with 2 saunas, steam room, relaxation room and indoor pool. the outdoor pool, while cold, is very refreshing after a long walk in the mountains. it's the perfect place if you love walking and like comfort at the hotel. every need is taken care of.
