Detailed Reviews
Had dinner here with some friends and the food was delicious. Very light but super filling.
The menu is in both Italian and German, but you can ask for English menu is needed.
Outdoor seating on the terrace is available as well, lovely in summer. Good views over the valley as well.

What a wonderful location to stay in the Dolomite's with good access to the highlights of the area. Local bus services connect easily to afford access and one stops just outside this hotel.
Florian and his team really do make you welcome. The accommodation was fantastic and the rooms gave wonderful views across the mountains.
The Spa and Wellness centre were of great quality and just the job after a daily hike. Mind you so is the apple strudel and the many other pastries on offer with a splendid coffee before making to the sauna.
To start and end the day what is on offer in the restaurant is of quality, well prepared and presented. The range of accompanying wines compliment whats on offer and you will not be disappointed.
Nothing is of trouble from the Gasthof Kircher team and we will certainly return to enjoy the experience again!

I stayed at this hotel in September 2012 because I attended a friends wedding.
I was very impressed that the hotel owner stayed awake until 3am in the morning just to let me in. I was generally impressed by the friendlyness of family Harder.
The rooms were clean and I had a wonderful view from my room to the "Schlern" (headwall)! Ask for room 1!
The hotel staff just started cleaning quite early in the morning, so I was sometimes woken up by the hover.
The breakfast was good, although I thought there could have been a bit more to choose from. The view from the restaurant/ breakfast room is wonderful though.
Generally had a very good impression and would definitely stay here again.

There, in the South of the Italian Tirol, in a little village named Umes, at the very foot of the mountains Sciliar and Cavone, you will find a sympathetic little hotel named Gasthof Kircher.
Mr. Florian HARDER and his wife Judith manage their home-hotel with that particular touch named simplicity.
Imagine that at the doorstep of this house, the footpaths are there, waiting to invite you to the discovery of fantastic landscapes surrounded by the silence of the living nature of the mountains: breathe it, feel it!
And it’s not over, when you will be back, Florian Harder, as the cuisine master, will invite you to discover Italian and South Tyrolean receipts with that genuine something named talent.
They work hard to keep their hotel clean, and their hospitality is something real.
My wife and I go back there every year, since 2006, with the same, and renewed pleasure.
The welcome of Judith Harder is worth the detour for her sweetness and informality.
Give them a try, you won’t regret it!

We 've stayed at the hotel this summer ( 2016 ) . Owner, his family, and all stuff of the hotel makes you feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable although could be a little bit bigger ( as for family) . I was enjoying the well prepared food and good wine although the breakfast could have been a little bit more to choose from. Great views of the mountains! The pool with mountains view makes you feel relaxed. I would stay here again .

Well rested after our family stay in Comfort room for 4 nights. Ample breakfast and hearty set menu for the evening meal using local produce and home grown. Friendly service, great pool, useful Sud Tirol card which got us all about the valley. Wifi worked well most days. Worth a visit to chill out and watch the Schlern's shadows change above you.

We've been to dinner several times in the past. This year we booked a double room with half board for the first time. We had a beautiful room with west balcony. The complex also has a very nice outdoor pool and if you can then relax at the sight of the Sciliar, what more could you want. Everything was perfect. We love the South Tyrolean cuisine and we were truly not disappointed. The Owner and simultaneously chef deserve extra praise for the great dishes served in the evening. But also the service deserves a 1*. We will be back, no question.

We were already on the 2. Sometimes guests with half board at the Hotel-Gashof Kircher.
Like the first time a few years ago it and very well liked. The servant was, as then, excellent. In addition, the rooms were new and comfortable. Unfortunately we could not use the very appealing sauna, the outside temperatures were too high. For this we refreshed ourselves after our hikes in the nearby well-kept pool or occasionally use the small but fine gym.
Gasthof Kircher is an ideal place to start beautiful hikes in the Sciliar-Rosengarten Nature Park. The bus stop is very close and the bus can also be used conveniently for more distant destinations with the Guest Pass.
Thank you so much!
Next time we might come in winter. Then we also try the sauna.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days: a fantastic experience!
Super clean environment, very kind and helpful owners, hearty breakfasts both sweet and savory. We chose half board and enjoyed delicious dishes presented with great care. We haven't tried the heated outdoor pool and relaxation center, but we will come back for sure and we will also have this experience. A place to return for sure and to recommend to everyone. Maria and Roberto
