My daughter and I thought we'd stay only a night, but ended up staying for four nights. Great location in the old town, clean western bathroom, excellent view and cozy atmosphere. I forgot to mention the delicious egg breakfast with fresh fruit, Tibetan bread and tasty Yak butter.

This guest house is a beautiful wooden building owned by a very helpful English speaking tibetian. He will help you with anything you need with a smile. The rooms are clean . nice balcony on the second floor. Location is good. It can get a little cold at night as they don't have heating in the rooms, hot water and...

Besides the friendly owners and great atmosphere (old style architecture with lovely designs), the terrace has nice views of the temple close by. It's very interesting to have a view of the temple from your guesthouse to observe what's happening. Again, great family atmosphere! Disclaimer: stayed there before the fire (please ignore the date..it was the earliest I could place)....

Its a nice place with a good Location to stay in Shangri La. Its really close to the temple hill and old town. Prices are fair, staff was nice and the facilities were good. We enjoyed the stay especially on the terrace.

I expected Kersang's to be much better, but admittedly stayed there in off season. I was the only guest there for most of the week I stayed and most of the time the whole place was deserted. The uncle (who was the only representative of the owner I saw) was pleasant, but had no English at all so communication was...

I stayed on my own for two days during the National Holiday (1st week in October), Kersang's was an oasis of calm in the otherwise overcrowded tourist trail of holiday season. The beautiful courtyard gave it a truly Tibetan feel and the family were very helpful in giving advice for the next stage of my travels. The only thing was...

Recommended by a good friend and was glad we stayed there. There were 13 of us, so we occupy almost all of the rooms for 5 days. (Pros) -clean rooms, comfy beds with electric blankets -clean & modern bathrooms with hot shower -great view, located up hill just behind the big prayer wheel. Some days you can hear distant chanting...

Very nice place -- clean and cosy!! Run by a Tibetan family!! Although most of the old town was destroyed by a fire in January, 2014 Kersang's survived. The old town is now being rebuilt. Kersang's is right behind the 2 hillside temples and large prayer wheel. Highly recommend it!!
