Dined at the restaurant here one night.Found the food here very good, easily up to the standard of the rest of the restaurants along Acharavi beach. Whilst the owner might be a bit grumpy, Costas our waiter was very friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. The attached cocktail bar has the best value cocktails on the beach (based on extensive research).

We just returned from our stay in Kormoranos Hotel in Acharavi, Corfu Island. We decided to book this hotel based in the very good reviews we read, and considering all it is good based on the price you pay for.
Hotel rooms are very basic, w/o TV, air conditioning has to be paid as an extra charge (and you definitely need it if your room faces the sunny side of the building), but they are clean and with a little fridge you can use freely. Also, in the bathroom, while having a shower, the shower curtain can get tricky; on the positive side, the water pressure is great.
Continental breakfast included in the rate consists of bread with choice of honey, butter and marmelade, coffee or tea and a small orange tasting drink.

On the bright side, the location is just great: it stands right on the beach, even if it has no private beach, you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds at a very low price or stay freely with your own. There are a lot of tavernas and beach bars where you can eat or simply have a drink at very good prices, and extra plus is that even if we were there in the middle of August the beach never got too crowded which was really nice.
Acharavi village is 1km away, and it has more tavernas, bars and travel agencies where you can book excursions to the rest of the island.

In conclusion, if you look for a very relaxing holiday for a very reasonable price and you don't care for any special features in a hotel, this is a very good choice for you.

Dear Travellers!
This minute, family owned hotel was just the cutest thing ever! It is located right by the beach so if you forget something in your room you are only a few feet away. It only has about forty rooms so the atmosphere is very private and personal-recommended for young couples as well as for singles and friends because down the street there is a number of little bars offering coctails, drinks, ice-cream and food so a nice walk by the beach can be a lot of fun! The hotel also has a restaurant with special discount for the guests and the food is great, it ranges from traditional Grrek cuisine to English breakfasts, burgers and pizzas, all very affordable. The staff are very sweet and polite and attend to your needs immediatelly as well as taking a minute to talk to you and ask how you are every day! The only bad thing are the mosquitoes which are invincible! I stayed here twice and the second time I took literarly everything I could buy but nothing worked! All in all, a stay here is a good choice!

The hotel has only one advantage - location, the rest on level zero. Rooms deep in the 80's or 70's, food nasty, amounts like for a child, the owner of a boor and a simpleton, tried to throw me out of the beach in front of the hotel, explaining that I was alone and occupied an umbrella with 2 sunbeds, discrimination and rudeness, on the beach in front of the hotel to ordered things - he adds 6 euro for sunbeds ... everything said in the tone of "pay and f off", air conditioning 7 euro, maybe someone will not pay attention to the offer. People who want to stay at the pool after 6pm are kicked out in a rude way. Open kitchen door to the street where you can see the cook smoking a cigarette while the meals are being prepared ... drama ... dirty hands, no gloves. Overall a disaster. I do not recommend, there are many better accommodation around, for the same price. Restaurants great at a good price, including Barden next door, great service, great prices, delicious food, fresh fish. Beach service, all day

Came for a day at the beach with my husband and son (aged 5), as soon as we sat down the owner approached and told us if we were to use the sunbeds we had to buy lunch. Fair enough I thought, we had every intention of getting food and drink and subsequently did so. When it came to paying however, we were charged €6 for the sunbeds; according to the owner because we had used one more to make it up to 3 people, he would now be unable to sell one on its own…despite having actually bought lunch and drinks! A bloody cheek and a pitiful excuse! We come to Acharavi every year to see family and I’ve often wondered why the bar/restaurant and the majority of the loungers are near-on empty compared with neighbouring bars and establishments and now I know why. The owner, as many people have commented on before, is rude, obnoxious and arrogant and clearly has no problem cutting his nose off to spite his face. We will be avoiding this place forever more.

We didn’t use the hotel, but spent a lot of time at the beach sun beds/bar.

Fantastic service. Our server was very attentive and very friendly; he often chatted with us and had a laugh which made us feel very welcome.

Food is really good - super refreshing with a draught beer after a swim in the sea…

Cocktail menu is really interesting and incorporates lots of local spirits. A good place to try something new.

It is also open quite late into the night which is great for after dinner drinks.

We have been regular guests at the Kormoranos Beach Hotel for many years (20 years) and can highly recommend this facility!

Very welcoming, friendly and helpful owners and staff, unique location right on the beach, clean and modern rooms and an excellent restaurant and beach bar!

See you soon, Fioretta & Lakis 🙂 !!!

P.S.: We absolutely cannot understand negative reviews of this facility - but we have experienced that certain guests behave "negatively"; not in the way you should behave as a "guest" with a "host"...!!

A great beach hotel with a first-class location right on the beach. Warm welcome, even though we arrived late, the owner brought food and drink to our room on the 2nd floor. The rooms have been newly renovated with a great view of the sea. German-speaking, very friendly staff, first-class service, service, hospitality unbelievable. Great food, absolutely delicious.
The associated restaurant is super cozy with great music. All in all, a really great vacation

Simple and nice hotel, well located, quiet as I like! Decent room with very good bedding, cleaning lady 6 days a week, nice and smiling. The meals are good and quality. The boss and the 2 boys waiters are all charming and listening to us. I had a great stay at this Inn with my sister and we will gladly come back.

Me and my boyfriend are both in our 20s and had a wonderful time at this hotel. The family who own it are very pleasant and the hotel is literally a stone's throw from the beach (it's just across the road!) Rooms are basic but immaculately cleaned. There are several little bars and restaurants along the sea front that provide food, drink and cocktails. I would recommend "Valentines'" for some lovely Greek and international cuisine. Kormoranos also has lovely food - be sure to try the homemade burger - it takes a while to cook but it's worth waiting for! The aubergine starter is lovely too. This hotel is great for families with small children or couples - there isn't much entertainment in the town, but if you're looking for a simple, relaxing holiday, this is the place.
