The Costa Botanica Grecotel Luxme Resort garners appreciation for its commendable service, with many guests commending the attentive and professional staff. While opinions on value vary, with some questioning the price-quality ratio, the resort's amenities generally receive kudos, especially the variety of pools and dining options.

Detailed Reviews
My wife and visited Costa Botanica this August (2022) for 6 nights, all-inclusive via Lastminute.com. We stayed in a large, clean, comfortable double room that was sparsely furnished but with a balcony in the Main Block, thankfully not over-looking the main square which hosts nightly events, such as enthusiastic but flat opera singers, magicians and an outdoor cinema for the hordes of children. This is primarily a resort for families and as such, ideal. The beach is beautiful, clean and safe. The staff were some of the kindest, most friendly, helpful and sweet we've ever come across and I can't praise them highly enough. The Water Park is a gas, and the pools, whilst difficult to find sun loungers due to these being particularly popular with families, are clean and large. The only negative is the food. Whilst supplied in vast quantities, it was often merely lukewarm if not cold - particularly the cooked dishes at breakfast. In retrospect, I don't think I'd do 'all inclusive' again as the restaurant we visited one night in Acharavi (The Odysseus) was actually much better than the hotel food. All in all, a recommended experience.

We had an amazing time here at Costa Botanica Grecotel, the service and facilities were fantastic. With a family of 4 including children aged 14 and 11 we wanted somewhere which would entertain them and we were not disappointed. The onsite water park was available and quiet so endless fun for the kids, there are also 2 other main pools which were perfect for cooling off. The resort was very quiet so no problems at all to grab sun lounges or space.
The ownership has recently changes (just before the pandemic) and they are really making this resort a 5* experience, at present I would say its 4* but with their plans i heard about it wont be long before this becomes the resort to visit whilst in Corfu. The staff were good on most accounts, many of whom were brand new so there we a few mistakes and oversights but if you are relaxed about these things there isn't a issue.
Everything in our room was brand new, complete refurb of the bathroom and bedrooms (we had adjoining rooms with a private balcony), new TV, wardrobes etc
They have a kids club for the younger ones which looked great (ours were too old), each evening there was entertainment at the Beach bar which included Latino dancing, live bands and DJ etc. The drinks were half decent with a good choice to have. When the property is at capacity it will be come pretty busy but i hope the this doesn't effect the experience too much.
The private beach was amazing, plenty of lounges, beautiful sunsets every evening which really is a massive highlight of the location.
Negatives, no AC in the bedrooms which must be resolved no questions asked, we went in May/June and it was hotting up, once the temps get into the mid 90's it will be unbearable in the rooms, Being a area of natural beauty with water they'll naturally be bugs so make sure you have the Mosquito sprays etc, but it wasn't too bad as we had expected (from previous comments). The last bad part was the waterslides, the joins between the slides were very bad and many kids ripped their shorts (albeit the hotel offered free replacements from their shop!), so sort this out and it'll be amazing.
Overall a great holiday, this could potentially once renovated fully to be be absolutely amazing.

This hotel ticked all our boxes and did not disappoint.
Great location and a short walk to numerous shops, bars and a couple of lovely jewellery shops.
We have two adjoining air conditioned rooms in the Country Houses which are a short walk to the restaurant, pool and beach. These rooms are basic but spacious and clean and the maids come daily to make beds and left fresh towels & water. Could do with a shelf in the bathroom as the other bathroom had one.
We love the pool and never have a problem getting towels or beds in the shade at any time of day which is a massive plus.
My kids love the slides but did experience a few scrapes like others said, I told them to wear a t-shirt but it wasn’t a big issue for them.
Lazy river has loads of inflatable rings to use.
Pool bar has sandwiches, fruit, delicious crepes, slushies and gelato and hats off to the ladies who work there tirelessly all day.
Lovely beach with plenty of beds & shade. The bar played music, served drinks all day with super friendly staff. Lots of lovely food & snacks available from the beach restaurant.
Beach party night was fun and do take your camera for the sunset.
Food in the restaurant is plentiful and tasty. Staff doing an amazing job and always accommodating and friendly. Sometimes there are short queues and you couldn’t find a plate or glass but get a grip people! Some of these reviews are so nit picking it’s shameful.
Various entertainment every night which we enjoyed and lots of scheduled activities for kids and teenagers.
Lovely animals on site who all enjoyed an apple or two though I would love to see the horse have somewhere nicer than the small & barren area it’s currently in especially with so many green areas on site.
The only negative is the inside bar in the evenings gets busy so needs more staff to keep queues down or a soft drinks machine to help yourself. The outside bar only has a small selection of drinks.
Big thanks to the lovely staff throughout the hotel as they are doing a fab job and always with a smile.
Overall we are having a thoroughly enjoyable holiday we would not hesitate to come back.

We arrived (2 adults and 2 teenage boys) on 3 October! When we arrived we decided to explore our resort. There was a mini zoo which consisted of 2 donkeys, 1 stag, 4 ducks and 25,000,000,000,000 mosquitoes! We walked away from there covered! Not a great start. We walked down to the beach but unfortunately the sandflies and mosquitoes down there are horrific too. Every other resort I have even been to, they spray every night to combat this problem-not here!
The food is normal for AI but there wasn’t a big choice and the queues were quite bad! Considering we visited out of season I would dread to think what the queues would be like during high season. We ended eating out for our evening meal 6 out of 7 nights, only bothered with lunch on 3 occasions but had breakfast every day, which was fine and always seems to be the best meal at AI holidays I have been on. The coffee machines constantly broke down and for a couple of days all machines were completely out of action! There was a distinct lack of vodka at both the beach bar and captains (reception) bar! The pools were nice as was the beach but again I do think this resort could cope in high season unless they had removed sun beds as although these were easy to find after breakfast by late morning they were more or less all gone with just a few dotted around.
Our room is a whole different story! We stayed in Niki, room 303 and this was lovely! Although no air con as described (we didn’t need this anyway). 2 bedroom with a double bed and tv in our room and a spacious twin for the boys. The bathroom consisted of a shower over the bath? However there was nowhere to put the shower head so this had to be held and the bath plug was too big for the whole! The maid visited most days and always made the beds sometimes we were left 4 towels but sometimes just 1 or 2! I found reception courteous and the few times I asked them to book a taxi this was done with no drama and with a smile of sorts.

We had an amazing stay at Grecotel Costa Botanica, our third experience with Grecotel resorts prior Luxme white palace, dama dama, and this exceeded all expectations. The hotel staff were exceptional, always going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. It has a real rustic feel enabling you to experience the culture whilst also given you all the luxuries you expect whilst being away.
It’s the little touches like being greeted with fresh cold flannels and welcome drinks after a long journey, leaving mostiquo sprays and plug ins for our room.
For a luxury family holiday with everything taken care of, look no further. The dining options were outstanding, offering delicious food around the clock across the buffet and various à la carte restaurants (Asian, Greek and Italian). From the beach grill at lunch, delicious fresh salads and meats, fresh gyros, fruit (this one is more casual around the pool) to the main buffet; again lovely food different themes and so fresh with so many options, we loved it…. there was always something delightful to eat, catering to all tastes and preferences.
Our accommodation was perfect for families. The double family room was safe and comfortable, with the kids enjoying their own space with windows onto garden area, while the adult section featured double doors opening onto our ground floor balcony. It was a great setup that offered both privacy and convenience.
High quality of drinks served, including branded beverages which is a rare find in European all-inclusive resorts. Grecotel provided branded Cokes, Fantas, and premium alcohol, pretty much any drink or cocktail you can imagine.
The resort is wonderfully geared towards children. The splash park was a hit, and the staff at Grecoland were the loveliest, showing genuine passion for making the kids' experiences memorable. Each evening offered a variety of entertainment, with a kids' disco at 8 pm, perfectly timed for UK families on a 2 hour time difference.
I had an hours massage at the spa and it was so lovely and relaxing, I feel asleep!
For those accustomed to luxury far-away Caribbean gourmet all-inclusive resorts(prior to having to travel with kids!) but preferring not to travel far, Grecotel is a sensational choice. The brand consistently delivers amazing quality and value, making it a preferred choice for our family vacations.
Thank you, Grecotel Costa Botanica, for a memorable and extraordinary family trip. You truly live up to your purpose of creating wonderful memories. We look forward to many more stays with Grecotel resorts.
Thank you! 👏👌💫

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cost Botanica last week. Everything was perfect! Throughout my many years of travel, to pretty much every continent, I can't remember staying at a hotel that has such friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone we came into contact with were delightful. It really felt like everyone working at the hotel enjoyed working there and had a real sense of pride in what they were doing. Our room ( Family Interconnecting Loft ) was very comfortable and spacious and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job ensuring the rooms were kept clean and stocked with clean towels when required. Food and drink throughout our stay was excellent with a huge variety of different cuisines. Something for everyone! We particularly enjoyed visiting the a la carte restaurants. Hard to say which was our favourite but if I was pushed, I would say the Fine Dining restaurant was our favourite. Our host Niki was absolutely charming and very welcoming and the food amd wine really did exceed our expectations. The beach was beautiful with plenty of beach umbrellas and sun loungers. It never felt overcrowded and was kept exceptionally clean by staff carrying out regular patrols to remove any used towels or plastic glasses. Food at lunchtime at the beach restaurant was very tasty and varied. We very much hope to be able to visit again in the future as 1 week was simply not long enough! Thank you to all of your staff for making our stay so special and enjoyable.

We had a lovely family holiday although the weather was a bit mixed when we went in late October. The accommodation, food and facilities were very good. It was nice that you could just get your own beach towels from the pool area without fussing with deposits and paper slips. And you didn't have to wear a wrist band which was nice. There were plenty of pools and places to relax. The free tennis was great and again the racquets and balls were free and you just had to book a slot. The sea was quite warm and nice and shallow near in with lots of fish. There were not many watersports offered when we went. Just one Pedallo with a slide (which was great fun!) and a couple of paddle boards. The main restaurant was good although if you didn't get there early you normally had to queue for a few minutes. We didn't manage to book a place in the Asian restaurant but we did get a place in the Italian one on the last night. The food was very good but the service was a bit slow with a long wait between each course. The evening entertainment was a bit low key but there was a good singer on for a couple of nights that we enjoyed. There was a short walk along a stream from the tennis court area that went to the beach where we were amazed to see lots of very tame beavers and also some terrapins. There was a bus into Corfu Town from right outside the hotel (cash only) but it did get very busy both there and back with people squashed in like sardines. There were some great views from the bus. Everyone was dropped off at a stop in Corfu Town but we had to get the bus back from the main station which everyone had to try and find to get back! We did enjoy mooching around the very beautiful Corfu town and we did a very reasonably priced trip on a 'pirate' ship. Would recommend.

This hotel has recently been bought by Grecotel and is being refurbished. The setting is beautiful and it is very spacious. You can walk a lot and you have to wonder about the maintenance as the site is so big. On the basics they get it right. The beds are excellent (and I have a bad back) the sheets are top quality. The food is healthy and wholesome. Not full of sugar/stodgy. Some of the dishes in the A La Carte are as good as a top restaurant. The staff are happy and friendly. We had excellent service from the girl with the red hair in the bar, the beach bar guy and Dana. The beach is clean and mainly sandy although there are flat rocks entering the sea and some pebbles. As it is very green and quite rural bring mosquito repellant and a plug. It was only just open when we were there but there is a water park, art and animals for children. The rooms are quite basic ie no mirror in bedroom, minimal furniture, no hooks, nowhere to put toiletries in bath room - this is apparently typical of Grecotel. There is some entertainment every night. The two pools are spotless as is the cleaning service. We peeped at a lot of rooms and they are all different. The original county house rooms are olde country but quite charming. Some rooms are very modern. We had a room in one of the annex blocks which are around the first pool. We had a great holiday and you will too but please remember this is Greece and not 5 star UK.

The hotel is spread over a large area but don’t worry if you need transport from one area to another call reception and they will send electric “buggie” to pick you up.
Firstly the good points:
Rooms are in excellent condition kept clean by wonderful ladies
Food a large selection at all meal times and 4 ala carta restaurants (fine dining, Asian, Greek and Italian all with excellent menus) which all can be booked once each week. Wine and beers required at meal times supplied by the glass and also by bottle.
Bar excellent choice of “real” spirits, wines and beers
Pool areas kept clean with bars and snack bars
Plaza all entertainment there and most restaurants
Staff always smiling and very helpful
Bad points:
Shortage of toilets, disabled toilet behind reception have to ask for key other toilets down stairs
Toilets in block off of plaza or your own room
Surfaces in plaza area unsuitable for rollators or anything with wheels due to various uneven rough surfaces
Overall not 10/10 but very close to it

In the last 5 years we have visited ~ Sardinia, Rhodes, Antigua, Portugal, Crete and Corfu.
We can see that this hotel is newly purchased by Grecotel and having stayed at a Grecotel in Rhodes we know the standard they can be.
I can see the potential this hotel is aiming for, but in my opinion it isn't there yet. Perhaps the company have in its plans the stages they are working to. For example, the beach bar has clearly been done up and made to standard, as have the rooms. However, there are a few bits that really need attention and I imagine in a few years these will have been done by Grecotel.
The restaurant is OK, clean, good food, quite repetitive menu. Very busy if you miss the quiet slot at 630pm. You will end up queuing out the door and outside. There is however no signs on any of the food about allergies as it states in a poster. So no idea what is dairy/egg free. So someone with a severe allergy would be really troubled having to ask regularly.
The ice cream that is vegan was served with a spoon that was washed lightly from cows milk ice cream..
Little things like this (that aren't that little to someone with intolerance or allergies) are a make or break if you will return.
The spa treatment was beautiful, however the spa itself is very basic and the room needs a clean and some style. But again, I do think Grecotel will have in the plans to do these.
The mosquito situation is a huge problem. But not one that can be solved as this is a hotel set in a huge grassland area. We got bitten A LOT. and we didn't stay out past 9pm. We didn't sit outside at all for any meals. Only inside.
The water park is good, however on sitting down for 5 mins myself and the baby were covered in mosquitos, so we were reluctant to go back with the children.
We hired a car with the lady who hires them out to you and took the car to local secluded beach's. This was definitely our favorite part. Driving to San Stefano and Kerasia beach. Tiny places, nightmare to drive to over crazy steep roads and hills that are almost one way but absolutely gorgeous on arrival and totally worth it !!
We booked our room direct with the hotel and this was easy.
Beach is beautiful with clear water and easy for children to play and swim.
I think a few amendments here and there and this hotel will be spot on, but in my opinion it needs a little tlc here and there to get up to standard.

The resort is very spacious and does not feel busy at all. It’s like a little village inside the resort. Your little one will have plenty to do.
There is only a little bit of sand just as you step on to the beach an where the sun loungers are..but then it’s stones all the way to the sea..sea shoes are a must!
