A lovely beachside hotel. The rooms are clean and bright. Maria is friendly and kind, as is everyone in the neighbourhood. You can eat breakfast for an additional 8 euros each morning. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is within walking distance from many shops and restaurants.

We spent our honeymoon here in 2022 July. I am writing this with tears in my eyes because I did not want to leave :'(. Maria and her staff was incredibly nice and joyful, I loved the Monsieur in the apartment with his lovely dog. We had a seaside room as promised, the breakfast was delicious and also the restaurant behind our balcony offers great meals. Greek people are very kind and there is a lot to do in Heraklion. If we return to Crete, we surely choose Troulis again ❤️

It was so good to be back at my favorite place in Crete. Mr. and Ms. Troulis are some of the best mom & pop hosts I've ever known. I haven't been back to my regular hangout in 3 years due to COVID. I sure missed the place! Usually, I give them 5 stars because the hotel is directly on the beach and the employees are warm and welcoming. This year, I had two unpleasant experiences at the restaurant which is under new management. The new manager is quite rude and unpleasant. I gave him a second try with the same results. But that won't deter me from the beach at Troulis!!

Good position to move around Crete, directly on the see and with a big free parking available. The furniture was old and general maintenance could be better. Also the cleaning could be improved. Given the low season the owner was not a lot present, but available by phone.

Dear Maria, thank you very much for the great vacation I had this year (September 15-30, 2020). I had such relaxing days and I enjoyed a lot the time spent at your villa. Also, I would like to mention the food and services to Waves taverna at ground floor. Congrats to Zahari, Iannis, Maria, Konstantina, Evridiki, Irini (hope I write down correctly the names) and all personnel cooking a very tasting food! Good job to all of you and congratulations for your business! I will definitely come back! Stay healthy and take care! With all my best, Elena!

Old fashioned accomodation with clean and comfortable rooms with basic cooking facilities. If you don't want to move the enterprise also offers all day coffee, food and somedays even live music to the family owned restaurant. Next to the beach and close to Hrakleio.

We stayed in the Troulis Apartment in Amoudara in June this year it was a trip from Scotland that we didn't intend to make so quickly and were delighted with the setting. The staff were very helpful Maria at reception printed out my boarding pass for my next day travel which was very kind. The rooms were very nice and glad there was air conditioning too. The bar staff were excellent and friendly and very welcoming. I would definatley go back.

I stayed in this accomodation for two nights. Maria the owner is really kind and helpful and she upgraded our room gratis, so we had an excellent view straight to the sea. During the night you can only listen to the waves, during the day you can either sit on the balcony and watch around or stepping down to the shore and having a swim. Free parking very convenient if you have a car, which will also help you to visit the area around and visit other beaches nearby (Lygaria, Agia Pelagia etc), or the town of Herakleion and Knossos. The tavern on the ground floor also very convenient with tasty cooking and friendly ambience, where you can also take a coffee or a drink. Main handicap of the whole area is the power plant at the west end of the coast.

This review is for the taverna and beach only as I didn't stay in these apartments but I feel I needed to mention Stelios, Yarris (sorry for spelling) and the other staff at this wonderful gem of a tavern. I travelled as a single woman and was treat with the utmost respect by everybody here and had a great night dancing and drinking Raki with the locals. I had the best pork gyros pitta wrap ever there too. Stelios works very hard and always remained smiling and professional. Miss you all after my wonderful time spent in your company. Thank you x

We stayed here for 5 nights. The apartment was very clean and was comfortable and spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the sea. The apartments have direct access onto the sandy beach, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available at no charge as long as you buy a drink from the tavern. The main road is about 200 yards from the apartments with shops and restaurants, and a bus stop with frequent buses to Heraklion and the airport. The Troulis tavern is attached to the apartments, we are there a couple of times and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Maria the owner was very helpful. We had regular e mail contact with her and she helped us to organise transport from the port. Would definitely recommend.
