My room overlooked the ocean..an enormous balcony and cleaned by the loveliest lady...daily...2 enormous curved screen tvs..a large lounge and 2 bathrooms...Having read several reviews i am astounded about how rude people can be... In life I have learnt that you only get out of life, what you put in..Despite my incredible room ..the charming people made my trip so special... My special friends by the pool..Manos and Nikos and Helen..Thank you ( lifeguards but so !! The charming reception staff...Mary, Tom ,Gerry, George always ready to help..Thank You My special freinds in the bar at night...Zach..Marie Ann...Reinia...Vani...and Emanuel..and Sophia...you truly made me feel special....Thank you My tremedous friends during the day..General George, Demetrios Truly Thank you Those who always smiled from the restaurant..even though I chose not to eat there..preferring the lovely local tavernas....Yanis and Manilos The lovely spa ladies...Constantina..Julie..and Sanya....you were so kind and smiling you will understand that all these people are treated by many guests like slaves... That is so wrong on every level....getting to know these people makes not just me feel good ..but i hope it has been a pleasure for all the team to have had me in the hotel A huge English Thank YOU to a very special team God Bless You All Paul Rm 600

Do not be deceived by the website of this hotel. The photos on the website are very misleading, exaggerated and show the hotel in a good light. The hotel is noisy, is like a holiday camp, has music blaring from the bar, and the food is like a motorway services! I have yet to see a member of staff (other than those at the Spa) who are smart, which I would expect from a 5* Hotel. Not a surprise to hear it is due a renovation!

This is a crazy time both holidaymakers and your staff. The wearing of masks must be so uncomfortable but all the staff were friendly , helpful and made my holiday . I spent alot of time in the hotel beer garden talking to George, what a lovely helpful man . I also met Demetrios in the bar by the sea who was very helpful ..just a shame no Gin and Tonic there for me. ( Maybe next time!!!) The girls and bar staff during the evening were both lovely and I tried to help by being generous ..it is unfair that in an all inclusive hotel very few people give any tips!! WHY ? I did upgrade my room but for no other reason than I could..there was nothing wrong me my first one but the sea views from the suite were truly wonderful and the service to my room was the best..A big thank you to everybody , all the wonderful reception staff who were so helpful and informative...and i repeat especially to my friend George and the lovely people who waited on me during my stay ... I am coming back Saturday 12th so look out for me ... Thanks for your humility and kindness Mr Paul

If you expect 5 star services and quality, you will have a bad vacation. I will not visit this hotel again and i will not schedule my next vacation with the agency that sold me this offer as superior for my canceled one (closed hotel in Crete). I will start my review by saying that the hotel can not have 5 starts. I staied at 3 stars in Greece and the services and quality was highly better. My rates are (explanations below): Hotel - 2 of 5 Room - 4 of 5 Staff - 2 of 5 Enterntainment - 4 of 5 Food and drinks - 3 of 5 Services - 1 of 5 Beach - 2 of 5 The hotel Is very old and it is visible that there where no investments made in the rooms, interior - except the reception, pool or entertainment areas (wather slides, playgroud - which was closed anyway, theater, beach) or exterior if you look from the inside. The room I've stayed in a familly flat that had a lot of space (had 2 rooms separated by a sliding door) which was enough for my familly of 4 members even we did not use one of them. I was a little bit dissapointed when i saw the old furniture. There where 4 bottles of wather on the table but no glasses. There was no card or paper with usefull information (tel numbers, complex schedules - as meal, bar, pool, etc). No paper, no pen. I found the remote of the TV and air conditioner by mistake - tried to hide some stuff from my children in one drawer. The telephone has no stickers on speed dials, usless without knowing the numbers - did not tried to call, so i'm not sure it worked (had tone doe). I did not found an iron or wather boiler and i will not speak about instant coffe or tea. I found the seif, but you need to pay to use-it (3e/day). The frige was empty but functional. On the hall, under the dresser i found dampnes and mold in huge spots, visible even you where blind. The bathroom was cleaned but visibile that it was done in a hurry ( the checkout is at 11 and we arrived at 20:00... plenty of time in my opinion). The toiled had spots of pee and i only found two small cheap soaps and toilet paper. The tub was washed, but not scrubed as i could feel the dirth with my hand. There was a shampo dispenser (wich whent empty the next day and i was the only one that took a shower - it wasn't checked it presum). Near the sinck i found 3 small towels very nice arranged, but one of them was very dirty. The TV was functional but there where only german tv channels without the posibility to change the language or add subtitles even in english (not talking about romanian). Air conditioning worked perfectly for the whole time. Oh, and there where 2 pair of low quality slippers sealed on the floor (they broke on the first use). Staff The personel at the reception was ok and helpfull beside one old guy who likes to be unfriendly and raises his voice when you speak about hotel problems. For example, when i saw the room the first time i went on the website and with the pictures opened went back down at him and asked if we did not make a mistake. He told me that the pictures are from this hotel and to be more convinced i've asked him to show me one room that looks nearly with the ones from the website (we where families at that hotel). In that moment he told me that the reception in closed (waving some tickets at me, somehow he tried to show that is busy) and i should come back tomorrow (he noted my room number - 209 on a paper) and someone will deal with my (stupid) request. Nobody contacted me. When i saw him at the reception (after 4 days - there is a rota) i went again at him and asked the same thing. Visible iritated, he told me it is not possible and gave me stupid arguments... my conclusion, the rooms showed on the website are fake (or a lot of photoshop - as the corners in the room are rounded and in the pictures are not). Tried for 3 or 4 times to request a complain form and each time the answer was : "You can find'it in your room". There was no complain form in none of the rooms ... I'm wodering why. The lady at guest relations was very nice and helped me with all the info i've needed. The personel at the main restaurant (also bars and a la carte) i think it was tired as i saw same faces each day for the whole stay. Some of them got iritated when asked to clean the baby seats saying stuff in greek (even they said it was cleaned before, had visible spots of leftovers). They look mean at you when you request extra food even if you justify why (I had to explain to one of them that if we need to wait in a line to get served (Covid measure) it is better that only one member of the familly should get the plates - there where waiting lines everywhere). The guys serving at the main bar at night where realy rude. The line was near the reception and after waiting for ~30m i've ordered for the whole 3 families something to drink (10 drinks) and i asked for one more glass of wisky to drink'it there when the first bartender told me: "To much sir". In my mind was: what!? All inclusive and i have a limit? Wtf. Tried to explain why so many drinks and that i waited for a long time to get them... he told me that i should stay at a table and i can get served (but there are few tables and all of them where occupied). I got very iritated hearing all his (stupid) options and asked for his manager. The other guy presented him as the manager and i've repeated the same story again and he told me that there is a rule - 1 person 1 drink (i saw on the wall the 17y rule for alchool and 2m Covid one but not this one) and they made an exception serving me 10 drinks (and those before me ordered more than 1 drink... i see no exception for me) and because i had more arguments and they did not, he told me that I did not paied for the drinks (all inclusive... wtf) and tries to take them from me (the drinks)... i got the drinks and i left them talking to each other. Not normal in my opinion... tried to fill the second complain form after talking at the reception about his behaiviour. It was explained to me that the waiting line was not normal, and indeed there is a 1 drink rule but the problem was the fact that there was only 1 bartender that night (for the whole stay i saw only one...). The waiting line was the same each night. The personel from a la carte was nice beside the angry looks and greek comments when food was left on the plate (talking about food in a moment). Entertainment - the pools with dif programs (like gym); - 2 small wather slides for the kids (very old looking); - mini golf, ping pong tables and even tennis; - the kids playgroud closed (but also very old looking) - theater - which has a bar, but old looking; there was an announcement that it will be a live circus in one night and i went it the kids... very dissapointed. They took some kids (from the guests) and put them to show some amibilities (in my opinion they got humiliated even the crowd was applauding each time) - inside i found 2 pool tables that where not functioning - 1 boxing machine (the one that you punch the ball and get a score) - 1 moving duck (that worked only one night) - and 4 other machines. Food and drinks You could not get starved as the main restaurant had a variety of products. Beside the angry looks and the "are you shure?" i found stuff to eat. There was no special night serving special things, but you can go to a la carte (you need to make a reservation with 3 days before). You have Italian, Greek and Vegan. We went to Italian and Greek and the serving was ok with small looks and comments. The food instead was to salty for all of us - but nobody asked how it was or if we liked it. Beside tap wather, some sort of cola, orange juice made from pills, low quality beer (asked 4 person the name of the beer, but they did not know what was served - one said four seasons), boiled coffe and some cocktails diluated with wather everything was on money (wather bottles 0.5ml 2e and Mythos beer - 3.5e 0.33ml which is a local beer). The beach bar has less stuff to drink and was opened from 11 to 18 with huge lines as it served the beach and pool. Services - no room service - safe can ne used if you pay money - no laundery - room cleaning at 3 days not so great doe (the shampoo was empty and i had to search the laydies on the hotel hall to receive a replacement) - beach towels can be taken from the reception (waiting in a line) - there is a shop in the resort that is opened until 22 (found it opened after, but you don't get a recipt for the bought things. Mythos at 0.5ml is 2.2e) - did not get a recipt for the stuff i bought at the main bar and also not for the resort tax (28e for 7 days for 2 adults - 2e/day/person) even i asked for one - each time i went to the reception to complain about something they had an answer but i found no resolution Beach There are few sun beds but found each time place to sit, but i think it was like this because of the permanent wind blowing and the smell of the diesel power plant near the hotel which it was disipated and the people staied at the pool. The entry in wather is smooth but rocky. Other usefull info In front of the hotel there is a bus station (2.5e ticket, but you can buy a 5e daily pass at the shops) which will take you to Heraklion bus station from which you can take buses everywhere (went to CreteAquarium 1.9e). You can get down in Amoudara (5m travel) and buy stuff like wather and beer more cheaper even most of the shop where closed (out of business i think) and had the feeling it was deserted. After a 5m walk fron the hotel you can find a excursion planner (we booked one for Santorini for 102e/person - no recipt doe, only a paper with all payed written on it) The taxi is very expesive and they don't use meters only barging for the peice (payed 40e for 30km with no recipt) With or without mosquito spray you will have a bad time wih them. The smell of the diesel power plant is present everywhere.

5 stars hotel but I d put 3. Cleaning the room every 3rd day... The breakfast buffet though is rich. Nice beach. Hotel all inclusive. Quiet and green area. About 20 min drive from harbor. Very touristic area. I don't know if it's worth paying this price per night
