The hotel was lovely and we had an amazing holiday. All the staff were so friendly and happy to help and I loved the fact that they all wore tops saying 'one team' on, clearly Tui are working hard on the image of the staff in their hotels. The room (superior) was clean and had a good size balcony. There were the main pools but we chose to relax around the relaxation pool where there was plenty of space to to relax in. There were so many facilities and classes that we just didn't get chance to try all of them but the gym is well equipped and there was always equipment available and a visit to the spa is a MUST! One of the best things i found was that the food was some of the best I've had on an all inclusive holiday. There was always plenty of choice and the quality was excellent. Another fantastic holiday in Tui Candia Maris. The food was excellent. Just could not fault the staff, the room, the cleaners and the Spa personnel. Predominantly German guests but all were so friendly. We had a Spa afternoon which was excellent, we both had treatments which were the best we have ever had. We had massages with a mud rub - it was truly amazing. Catrina was so professional explaining all the treatments we could have and the ladies providing the massages Maria and (sorry we cannot pronounce or spell her name - she was a tall, slim lady with a bob hair cut) x Her English was excellent. It was our Anniversary and they put a bottle of bubbles in the room which was a lovely touch. We will be returning to this wonderful resort again. We have just returned from a fantastic week. I can not speak highly enough about this hotel. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable from the staff in the restaurant to the bar staff and cleaners and the entertainment team. The room was superb. We had a ground floor room which had a lovely terrace looking out to the quiet pool. The food was amazing with plenty of choices. The sweets were really special. Only one gripe was we couldn’t book into the specialty restaurants but in all honesty we never tired of the food in the restaurant. The waitress were fantastic and were always helpful. The entertainment was great and was there if you wanted it. I used the Gym and the bikes and a big shout out to Jessica who’s classes were brilliant. Firstly I will tell you about our experience last year. We were put in the brand new east wing which was incredible, private and quiet. The food was great and we loved it so much we could not wait to come back. This year was an entirely different experience. Firstly we were right behind the radio station in room 238. We didn't pay extra so we expected the room would be a little tired compared to last year. We had NO PROBLEM with the actual room. The problem we had was getting up to VERY LOUD ladies from the spa sneaking out for cigarettes. They were hiding in a place they looked directly into our room while we were half dressed and just waking up. We put up with this for 5 mornings. Yes it's our fault, we are nice people and say good morning to everyone, but I'd had enough and went to see customer services who dealt with it very quickly. The food this year we really struggled with. This hotel is now 95% German, some of whom we got on incredibly well with. At Okoberfest I saw people spitting food into napkins and shaking their heads. I honestly do not understand why Greek chefs and cooking German food! These guests have been eating German food all their lives. You cannot compete with that. However I have to look at the positives. The barstaff are INCREDIBLE. Attentive and just beautiful. Again I have to mention Yannis, the lovely Soula and Chrissa at the pool bar. They completely made our week. Now for the last straw. On Sunday we were at the Wunderbar having a quiet drink with another couple. I pop to the toilets by customer services and enter a cubical. I was just about to wash my hands and hear two men having sex in the cubical next to me. Whether they were staff or guests (guests have rooms) I have no idea. But from that point I could not wait to come home with 2 days to go. Up to that point it would have been 4 stars but I'm sorry, that is just UNNACCEPTABLE! This really hurts me to say, but no, we will not be coming back.…

Everything about this place is fantastic. The food was out of this world, staff superb and the setting near the beach idyllic. Loads of activities to try and a great atmosphere for all the guests. The rooms were very clean and to a good standard but the best part are the staff. They are so friendly and helpful it made our holiday. We do not usually return to the same hotel each year, preferring to try something different but to be honest I don’t think we can find anything better than this one and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

We had a fantastic family holiday in Candia Maris. There was a great variety of activities to do. Especially thanks to tennis coach Niko. It was great to try padel tennis both in single and double matches. Archery was very interesting as well. The booking system via app was working well for us. The cuisine was very good and the personnel in general friendly. The resort is on the beach. Moreover, city of Heraklion is very near, there is a bus stop very near and a stop of hop-on-hop-off bus. I recommend this resort, it is worth visiting!

Overall the resort is not too big. We were informed by the staff that it is 95% German occupancy which in itself is not an issue. Evening entertainment was severely lacking could have been a lot better. That coupled with only 2 English speaking channels on the TV, Sky news and CNN, meant that evenings were quite uneventful unless you like to party after 11pm. Rooms were very clean and anything we asked for was provided swiftly, extra pillows, new kettle, etc. The buffet restaurant had a very wide variety of food but was repetitive on certain days. Nonetheless we were always able to find something to eat. The barbeque on Wednesday was particularly good. Staff work very hard to ensure you have a good holiday and the rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard. Heraklion centre is only a 15 - 20 minute bus ride away and well worth a visit.. It was one of the best vacation trips in my life, the hotel is great, the location close to the airport so transport is not bothersome, all rooms overlooking the beautiful sea, comfortable bed, additional pillows, air conditioning worked flawlessly, the animation and sports offer was incredibly rich, food incredibly tasty, a large selection of local fine wines, the proximity of the capital of Crete and the offer of vehicle rentals, or the presence of a bus stop in front of the hotel, make it a must for a trip to visit the city and the palace of Knossos. Staff very nice and helpful. The cleanliness of the pools and the well-kept gardens mean that you do not want to come back to the room, but lie on the sunbeds. Very long sandy beach, so you can make walks of several kilometers. I highly recommend it, I will definitely come back there more than once.…

My wife and I had a very enjoyable week at this hotel. All the staff are very welcoming when you meet them . The entertainment team are excellent and there is so much to do if you want to, or just relax by one of the 3 outside pools. We also went to the Taverna complimentary restaurant during our stay and is really worth visiting at least once. The food and service were very good. The weekly BBQ is also very good. We also really enjoyed the entertainment in the evening. The food in the main restaurant was also very good. There was so much choice and the added bonus of having beer and wine on tap and you just helped yourself which was a good idea if you liked an alcoholic drink with your meal. I would have given 5 stars except the room we were allocated wasn’t 5 stars. It looked very tired and we were very disappointed. Having paid extra for a better standard of room room 234 was more 3 star than 5 star. It didn’t deter our enjoyment of our holiday but we would have preferred a better room.…

Couldn’t fault one thing about this immaculate hotel, from the minute we arrived to the moment we left. Greeted with so much warmth, staff here (every single one) couldn’t do enough for you. Grounds and hotel immaculate and super clean. Rolling lawns dotted with sparkling pools, and a beach within striking distance. Food superb, especially Magic Monday night and the best and biggest BBQ we’ve ever experienced laid out on the lawns every Wednesday ( looked like a posh wedding). Parties and shows - something different every evening, where ages ranging from 17 to 80s all mixing together on the dance floor. Made many lovely friends, like one big happy family. Our grown up kids (19 & 25) had a ball, as did we. Don’t miss the beach party after the bbq, it was epic! Special shout out to the fantastic entertainment team who became friends and worked so hard to make sure everyone was having fun (thank you Jordan and all the team fantastic choreography). Also brilliant daytime activities, water Aerobics, waterpolo & archery, dance classes and cycling trips if you fancied it, literally something for everyone. Adults only made us choose this hotel. Best decision ever! Our waitress Manuela was the best, nothing any trouble, an absolute gem. Our superior seaview room on ground opening onto grass with pools and beach within stones throw so could enjoy both whenever we wanted was perfect.
