Went here for a couple of nights for a business trip. Was not here sonce 2019. when we went regularly. I loved the horel than, and I still like it now. The view is amazing from all of the rooms, the service is spot on and it is very clean. They mived the breakfast to a new location during off season, with order by menu which also worked quite well, food itself was great. There is a great small pool on top to visit and enjoy. I was also able to charge the EV car for free during the stay. All together a great little hotel on the beach with only minus coming from the need to refreah rooms soon and hotrible traffic in Podstrana in general during rush hours.

Hotel Split has an amazing Spa with great therapist Nives. I went there for several treatments and it‘s also possible to book appointments even though you‘re not a guest in hotel. She offers amazing procedures for face and body that are absolutely unique in croatia. If you have a chance you should defenitely check this place out. I always felt totally relaxed and at least 5-10 years younger after her treatments. Thank you Hotel Split and Nives! See you soon, Lisa

First time in Croatia. The staff in this hotel were truly superb! Catering for our every need. We stayed in room 57 which was amazing with breathtaking views. Staff at breakfast were just lovely and the choice for breakfast was just brilliant . The kind staff helped us with bus timetables, places to visit and recommended restaurants. We jumped number 60 bus into Split which took 20 minutes. On our last day we spent the day in the rooftop terrace with the pool all to ourselves. Will definitely return! Well done hotel Split:-) Martine & Harry

Having never been to Croatia before, I booked this for my family (inc. 2 teens) for a half term October break from the UK, taking a gamble on weather and location. Both gambles paid off handsomely and not only is lovely Croatia now in my top 5 of favourite countries, but I can recommend this hotel as a perfect location for anyone visiting this part of the Dalmatian coast and/or Split. Just 2 hours flight, no hassle at airport, all super smooth and easy. Non-hotel stuff first - visiting out of season is such a bonus; yes some bars and possibly attractions are closed until next May, but so many remain open and you end up feeling like the only non-local in town - no crowds, full availability for restaurants (and great restaurants they are too), weather still warm enough to swim in the sea (it was 24/25C all week for us the last week of October - 20/21 in the shade) and the people, with no exceptions at all, everyone we met in the hotel, shops, restaurants, taxis/Uber, boat tour, everywhere (even airport border force) - all 100% the most friendly, helpful, charming bunch I'm come across in many years of travels. Everyone speaks great English (and yes I did attempt basic Croatian phrases), you've got the place to yourself (amazing history, culture, architecture, food and the gin-clear sea). Can't wait to return. Onto the Hotel Split - just 25 mins taxi from Split airport (tip - arrange your transfer in advance on the internet, I found return-trip Mercedes minibus transfers pre-booked for around 70 Euro) and couldn't found anything close to that locally. Uber works well here incidentally too). Turns out that aside from a few transient business travellers, we had the hotel to ourselves. Rooms were super clean, and had balconies directly over the beach overlooking the clear and blue Adriatic. Staff all super friendly - even though we arrived 3 hours prior to official check-in, they got our rooms ready for us within 10 mins of arrival which is always a bonus after a flight. Breakfast in the mornings was a la carte continental style, with fresh bread & croissants, granola with fresh yoghurt or milk, eggs however you fancy and avocado on toast, plus fresh coffee, hot chocolate, juices, etc. One morning we had a 7am early departure for a boat trip and they so kindly prepared a takeaway bag each with sandwiches, water and fruit, at no cost. After day one the staff knew our preferences by heart and everything was freshly prepared to perfection. Rooms were cleaned daily in the mornings (so no hanging around) and we set comfy padded sun loungers up on the rooftop. In season it looks like they have a a wider set up including roof bar, bigger loungers, possibly even hot tubs. The pool was small and freezing cold, possibly warmer in the summer? The downstairs restaurant was closed due to season and/or Covid, but breakfast was serviced on the open air balcony on the 4th floor which was lovely anyway. There was also a stand up paddleboard we could borrow. 5 mins walk to the left along the beach is the Meridien hotel and a marina with a nice restaurant (I couldn't possibly comment on anyone sneakily using the Meridien indoor heated pool - but I do know their outdoor infinity pool was also freezing cold). To the right of the hotel is a great cocktail bar (no food sadly - perhaps only out of season though), with very good, string and good value cocktails). Split's Riva waterfront is just 10-15 mins by Uber at around 8 Euro, and you have the benefit of wandering around there and then returning to the Hotel Split for peace and quiet, and by the way the most amazing sunsets right outside your balcony. The hotel had hosted a local art creation day/week last year and the resulting artworks are displayed around the property and available to buy. It's a family run hotel and every single member of the family and member of staff are just wonderful champions of hospitality and customer service. We had extended check out on the last day also at no cost, and throughout the stay they provided recommendations and booking support for restaurants. There is also a handy grocery store/small supermarket just 3 mins walk down the road too so you can stock up on nibbles, beers, wine and water or whatever for your room. ATM is on site too. Overall a great stay - our teens had their own room, we ours. We already miss the place, the sea, the sunsets and the whole area. We'll be back, and we'll stay here again too. Hvala!

From the moment of check-in the service was fantastic. We arrived early from our flight and knew check in wasn't until 2pm. They could see I was pregnant and within an hour they had turned around a room for us. Whilst we was waiting they offered a welcome drink and fruit platter, it's the little things that make the hospitality just perfect. When we arrived to our room, there was extra pillows as requested and the room had the most perfect sea view. Breakfast was delicious and the view for breakfast was beautiful. The restaurant was closed however the beach bar served food, and again was delicious. The bar tender was also able to make me a mocktail which was lovely to have a nice refreshing drink on the beach. I also booked a massage in the spa which was so relaxing, it helped relieve my aches and pains. All the staff was absolutely brilliant, very kind, outgoing and willing to go above and beyond. Well done to the Manager, you have a fantastic team. We had an amazing stay and couldn't thank you enough. I'm sure we will be back soon when the little one arrives. Thank you so much. Stacey and Adam

Gorgeous views especially the sunset view from the balcony in the evenings. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location- 10 min uber to old town, yet situated right on a gorgeous beach. The beach is small pebbles which means sand doesn’t get everywhere but sandy once you get in the sea! amazing. Good breakfast, again with lovely views. Only minus is the pool- on the roof terrace and overlooks the road. We didn’t see anyone using it and when we went up there we didn’t stay long- this is ok though as the beach more than makes up for it.

Stayed here for just less than a week and the staff and the hotel were just great! The views from all the rooms are amazing, the staff are incredibly helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you’re happy. Me and my friends were sad to be leaving as we had such a great time. With Split only £10-12 in a taxi the location is perfect. Would recommend!

We absolutely loved our hotel at hotel split. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home, being offered welcome drinks and an early check in which made the travelling process feel so easy. The view is just surreal, every room faces the sea and breakfast is also served looking onto an amazing view as well as the rooftop pool which was our favourite place to relax, as there is so much room and never felt like a stress to get a sun bed, it’s just so peaceful! The journey to split centre took about 12 minutes (sometimes more with traffic) so you literally have the centre on your doorstep, however the location of the hotel is so perfect as you avoid the crowds and noise of split, and every night coming back to the hotel felt even more special knowing we had a private bit of paradise. The staff were so kind and knowledgeable and helped us with walking routes, booking covid tests home, restaurant recommendations and also booked these for us; the WhatsApp communication with the hotel was also a great touch, as we could easily ask any questions and made the stay personalised. We would recommend hotel split to anyone travelling to Croatia, we had the most amazing time and this hotel will not disappoint.

The most spectacular thing about this hotel is the view of the sea, it’s just amazing. We loved our balcony and the wonderful view from the French doors - all the balconies are made of glass so the view is uninterrupted. The rooms are well kitted out with a reasonable hairdryer, robes and slippers, safe, kettle, a good sized minibar (we chilled our water for the following day each evening in it) and the beds are pretty comfortable. The hotel is right on the beach and so we didn't end up going to any other beaches, it’s so convenient! There are hotel sun loungers, parasols and towels. We really appreciated our beach shoes - it is stony but the water is warm and gorgeous. There is a beach bar called Life's A Beach next door but one to the hotel with surprisingly quality food and cocktails. We rarely go back anywhere twice but we kept returning! The owners are lovely, they were so thrilled to see us and couldn't do enough. Tanya made some really useful recommendations for our time in Split. There is a Hotel Split smartphone for communication with the owners. The air con is centrally controlled so you text requests through. We went in August and had to have the air con on permanently - I bought ear plugs and was fine. They are very safety conscious and wore face masks and there is hand sanitiser freely available. The sound insulation between rooms is amazing, the only noise is anyone on the beach. Breakfast is in the restaurant overlooking the sea, because of COVID its restaurant style instead of buffet so leave an hour to an hour and a half for breakfast. They were very happy to out together a takeaway breakfast for us in days with an early start. We ended up booking two massages each - the masseuse is amazing! The rest of the spa and hotel restaurant are currently closed. There is WiFi but it's not greta in the rooms so we ended up using unlimited mobile data. It’s very easy to get an Uber into town, it takes around 10 minutes to drive and the fare is 50-80 kunas (£6-£9.50). This is a wonderful hotel, the owners can't do enough for you, it's very COVID safe and the view is just incredible!

Hotel Split is an outstanding hotel. The views, directly out onto the beach, are spectacular. The room is comfortable and fully air conned, which is a big relief after hot days sunbathing or exploring the area. The staff are the real superstars of the hotel! Their knowledge of the local area is second to none, the breakfast was hand made by the owner each day. In such difficult circumstances for the hotel, we could have not asked for more, thank you so much to the team at Hotel Split!
