We stayed 6 days The restaurant is high quality at affordable prices, the family owned staff is professional , courteeous, and the pool is always sparkling clean and refreshing In the always warm climate. Sicily is a beautiful destination not to be missed.

Just like the rest of the Neapolitans the staff and owners of the II Sentiero were friendly and helpful. Best view of the Bay of Naples you could wish for. Great value. The evening meals were superb and comparatively cheap. Wine good. Service first class. Bear in mind though: There is nothing in walking distance if you want to go anywhere then you need to get a taxi. Use the one recommended by the hotel (Antonio) This place is primarily event centre - of the Neapolitan wealthy I'd suggest. The restaurant and food were excellent Breakfast is not of the healthy kind (lots of sweet stuff), but ok The beds are hard Get the front rooms for a sweeping view of the Bay of Naples Other small stuff like the fridge didn't work properly and the shower was in need of repair. Anyhow, ignore the trivial stuff and drink the views and wine and eat gourmet food

This hotel was ideally located at the base of Mt. Vesuvius and was perfect for our first nights stay. The hotel staff were all very friendly and couldn't be any more welcoming. They looked after our little son very well too. Although we had to wait for his cot a couple of hours after we'd checked in, which wasn't ideal as he really needed his afternoon nap. This had been requested as per our booking.com reservation, so I'm not sure who was to blame. The rooms were nice but our fridge didn't work and there was no safe. However, the views are lovely and the gardens look very pretty at night all lit up. We opted to stay for dinner and food was nice even though there wasn't a menu to choose from, but we managed to communicate our order without problem. Very recommendable for a single or two night stay especially for visiting Mt. Vesuvius.

It's hard to find. GPS mislead us. Look for the signs nearing Via Vesuvius. The road is not in the best shape up to the hotel. I would not recommend venturing out at night -- in the dark. Therefore dinner should be taken at their restaurant. The menu is limited, but OK. It took a long time for us to receive our vegetarian dinner. I think we flustered the staff although I had notified the hotel beforehand that my husband and I are both vegetarians and that we hoped we could be accommodated. Anyway ... the hotel is clean. The staff speak little English. The bed was much too hard. The grounds and the view were wonderful. Photo OPs abound. It is centrally located to hike Mt. Vesuvius -- a must if you are going to Ercolano. It is just a 10 minute drive to the ancient site of Ercolano/Antica/ Herculaneum. THAT is not to be missed.

we were welcomed for an extra day even though there were two events happening. The events looked stunning- food, decor, music. The staff were gracious, welcoming, friendly, helpful and kind. We were very well looked after. The rooms are comfortable and our view was of all of Napoli- spectacular. You need a car to get here- the driveway is off of via Vesuvio. Il sentiero has the best view in Ercolano and is a safe easy place to stay when visiting Pompeii (30 min away) and Herculaneum (15 min away). The food was outstanding. Chiro spent at least 45 minutes helping us book our next accommodation and was great. Would recommend highly for couples and families.
