We stayed at Awasi Patagonia for 3 nights from 2-4 February 2020. We were picked up by our guide in a 4WD at Puerto Natales, and took us to the beautiful hotel overlooking the Mirador De Las Torres. The lodge has a wonderful view of the mountain, and just before we arrived at the hotel, we saw flamingos in a pond and guanacos feeding on the ground. If you love nature, you’ll like Awasi Patagonia.

Our private guide speaks good English and very friendly and knowledgeable; we discussed what we wanted to do and we listened to his recommendation and mapped out our tours for the next two days. We wanted a relaxed vacation so we toured most of the lakes and visited the private land of Awasi with beautiful mountain view. One thing nice about this place is that you can go at your own pace and you are in control of the time and place, with the help of the private guide and the 4WD. Do expect that the roads are not all well paved, but that’s the nature of a reserve, and you can stop anytime (provided it is safe) to take a picture.

The food at Awasi Patagonia are really great, you enjoy a nice breakfast amid the nice view of the Mirador De Las Torres; and if you go out for the day, they’ll prepare your lunch beforehand and our private guide also act as cook and waiter, set up table for your lunch in the wilderness. Dinner is absolutely delicious, I particularly like the fish and the waiters are very friendly. I remember when we arrived, they already waited there with a welcome drink.

The managers there were very attentive to our needs, greeted us multiple times and made sure that everything is fine. I am so impressed with their service, I mean everybody, from manager, private guide, waiters, everybody I came across with, they are all so helpful and nice. It is definitely a memorable trip.

This hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere. It's a masterclass of immaculate judgement. The choice of location. Not building too many rooms. The staff. Giving every room their own 4x4 with guide/driver. The food is as good as you'll have anywhere. It's exceptionally good. The rooms are large, thoughtfully designed to fit into the environment with views that go on for miles. Nothing in all directions. A wood-fired hot tub. Bath and shower. Sitting area.
The hotel has a central building which acts as reception, sitting area, and dining room. The staff remember names and preferences. They are really awake and tuned in... and so friendly.
The hotel's website is possibly the best hotel website I have ever seen - when you look at it you'll see what I mean. The application and thought invested is so evident throughout this whole concern. It's a beautiful thing. And wherever you live, the odyssey to get here is entirely worth the effort.
The guides are wonderful. Smart. Love their environment. The various trips are really worth trying. I normally run a mile at the thought of a guide and some dull outing. The gaucho lunches are essential. The hiking is mind-blowing. The guides will assess your ability and you will never forget the vistas.

My wife and I spent 6 nights in this extremely beautiful and remote Relais and Chateau.
Each villa is like it's own lodge with spectacular views of The Torres del Paine park. They are very nicely decorated and have all of the creature comforts you could ever need. Especially the bed and the wood burning fireplace.
The main lodge is beautifully adorned with ample comfy seating and great views.
The dining area, also in the main lodge is inviting, warm and spacious. The tables are not on top of each other, giving each table a sense of privacy.
The food and beverage was definitely Relais and Chateau worthy. Very delicious and very refined. Great cocktails and great Chilean wine.
The absolute best part of the Awasi experience was the daily treks with our dedicated guide Nicolas. He knows all of the parks best trails, lookout spots and views. He also put up with our slightly slower pace.
Everyday was someplace new, different and exciting. After each trek Nicolas would find some remote area with spectacular vistas, park the 4-wheeler and fix us lunch prepared by the Awasi kitchen. Incredible! He's also a good driver.
The most impressive aspect of Awasi was the impeccable service we received.
From arrival to departure everyone was extremely professional , super friendly and unforgettable. All of the talented employees knew our names and truly cared about our well being. By the time we left we also knew all or most of their names as well. It was tough to leave.
We had an incredible time. Thank you to everyone who made it so special.
If there is one critique I could give them is to repair their roads up to and around the property. Maybe they prefer it that way, rough and rustic but my teeth are still rattling.

Wow. Without a doubt the most amazing hotel experience we've ever had. First off, it's breathtakingly beautiful there. Patagonia itself, Awasi's land, just amazing. The villa is so well done with incredible views. We got an airport transfer, and our guide (Miguel) drove us. So, honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any guide there, but if you get Miguel, prepare for something special. Miguel first showed us a map of all the areas. Our favorite was Baguales, which you cannot visit if you're not a guest at Awasi (or a guest of the landowners there). This place was otherworldly. Miguel was incredible, showing us all around and even finding a den of baby foxes. Other trips included the park and the glaciers, all of which were so starkly different than the rest. So, amazing location and amazing activities? Check and check. Now, the hotel property itself. Every single staff member there is incredibly nice and thoughtful. You can get 3 gourmet meals a day in the restaurant if you want, with wine/drink pairings from an excellent sommelier and seriously perhaps the best bartender I've ever had the pleasure to meet (and I've been to several amazing cocktail bars in NYC). The food was excellent, the service impeccable. Then the villa itself. It was so comfy, so well done to limit its footprint in the surrounding area, and they gave us little treats every night. Seriously, I've never been so pampered in my entire life. We stayed for 3 nights. I could stay there for the rest of my life, but honestly shouldn't, because, man, it'll spoil you so bad. Seriously, book this place. We're already looking at Atacama and Iguazu.

It is a pleasure to know you enjoyed your time both exploring the wonders of Patagonia and relaxing in the hotel (especially the restaurant!). It seems like from braving the crazy Patagonian winds at mirador condor to exploring the unique landscapes of Baguales you truly took advantage of your stay. We planned a special trip to Awasi for a milestone birthday and it was everything we’d hoped. We flew into Puerto Natales and were picked up by our guide who was with us for the rest of our stay. We’d filled out a questionnaire prior to arriving and were paired with a guide who shared our interests and helped us plan our four days of excursions in the drive to the hotel and the in more detail when we arrived at the lodge. Our guide, Bea, a native Chilean was incredibly knowledgeable about local geology, plants, animal and culture and made a point of educating us along the way.

While we were mostly out exploring and didn’t spend a lot of time in our villa, the villas are elegant-rustic and equipped with everything.. The views are stunning. The dining experiences were equally impressive with creative and delicious dinner options each night with interesting local wine pairings. Dining room staff was attentive and knowledgeable.

Distances to trailheads and through the park can be long, though we didn’t find the car time to be excessive by any means, particularly since the views everywhere are stunning. The more time consuming part is getting to Puerto Natales (or Punto Arenas) and navigating the lines in the Santiago airport. Be prepared and allow plenty of extra time, particularly if you’re connecting from an international flight.

When asked if there was anything Awasi could do differently, we couldn’t think of a thing. It was an amazing 5 days and worth every penny!

A+ experience - cannot recommend enough. Every single aspect of the Awasi Patagonia experience is thought out with such attention to detail. The private tour guide alone is enough reason to book Awasi over other hotels in Patagonia. We were able to see/do every activity we wanted to with flexibility depending on how we were feeling each day. Lalo was the most amazing tour guide - he had such a depth of knowledge about the region and an intuition into the exact experience we were looking for. Beyond having a personal tour guide, the rooms, the service, the food and wine and every member of the staff was outstanding. Diana in reservations even personally helped me with some COVID related obstacles in getting into the country.

I disagree with a review I read on here about the wine selection being anything less than excellent. Food and wine were outstanding and thoughtfully planned. Dinner is a three course meal every night with wine pairings or drinks depending on your preference. There are also more basic options every night if you are not as hungry. I have dietary restrictions and had my own special menu every night with the same amount of options as my husband who does not have dietary restrictions.

The rooms are stunning, spacious, quite, perfect for sleeping and highlight every aspect of the beautiful natural environment. You can request a fire in your room at any time or a hot bath made with fire outside. The main lodge is luxurious while also feeling homey. I could go on forever, because there are so many small details that made the experience worth every penny, but there are too many to list. I would HIGHLY recommend booking so you can experience each one of them for yourself.

Once we arrived at the hotel, we were brought to the beautiful main lodge where all the activities are planned and discussed, did the check in, everything was smooth.

All staffs gave excellent service, our guide, Beatriz, was amazing, and it is a tough job to be a guide there. She drove us, hiked with us, cooked for us, did horseback riding together, and arranged a private boat tour which were great.

The villa is spacious with a stunning view, came with outdoor hot tub that has to be prepared for 5 hours, you have to inform them in the morning that you are going to use the hot tub after the excursion, it was great.

They served great food during meals, all meals are included, including wines and alcohol.

Overall, we had a great memorable stay here.

The level of hospitality of the Awasi Patagonia staff is exquisite. Everyone was genuine, welcoming, and consistently anticipated how to create a thoughtful and individualized experience. The location of the property and the excursions provided were amazing. Awasi is not in the park like Explora, but with the growing crowds in Patagonia, being park adjacent with a private guide was highly preferable. We were so impressed with the level of cuisine and wine-every meal was creative, locally sourced, and would have been appropriate in a fine dining restaurant. Special thanks to Cristian, the property manager, Miguel our guide, Christian the restaurant manager, Cristobal of management, sommelier Ayelen the sommelier, chef Fabrizio, mixologist Felipe, and Lidia, Tatiana, Esteban, Javiera!

Our trip to Awasi Patagonia was a couple years in the making due to Covid. One would think that after all the waiting and dreaming about being to this once in a lifetime location, it couldn’t possibly meet the high level of expectations we had in our heads. Well, it easily surpassed them all!!

Service – This is where Awasi shines and is up there with the best hotels in the world. From completely taking care of a lost luggage situation with the airline and making sure it got delivered as quickly as possible, to ensuring our hotel in Santiago had set up a Covid test for travel back to the US, to heating up the hot tub prior to our arrival back at the villa, to starting a nightly fire, nothing seemed too much to ask. The staff always handled the requests with a smile and were genuinely eager to handle our requests. While there are so many people to thank for the service, we at least wanted to mention and thank Cristian (property manager), Christian (restaurant manager), Fran (front desk), German (dining), Jose (driver), Lidia (dining), Massiel (bartender) and Catalina (front desk) for all their outstanding service and friendliness.

Excursions - We had the privilege of having Ignacia as our guide. From the moment we met her on the first day she was welcoming and knowledgeable . She patiently sat down with us on Day 1 and talked us through all the options we had for the next four days of our adventure. She took our input into what we liked and preferred to see as well as the upcoming weather to prepare a perfect 4 day itinerary for us. She was patient with us when we got a little tired on the hikes and needed to slow down, always encouraging (especially going to Base Torres), always available to stop and take a couple pictures, and such great guide and amazingly wonderful person. We met a few other guides briefly and they all seemed wonderful; however we couldn’t imagine a better experience than what we had with Ignacia.

Food – As others have mentioned, Awasi provides the option of selecting items from their daily menu or ordering from a selection of comfort foods (don’t hesitate to do this if you’re looking for a simple, but delicious, burger after a grueling day of hiking for example). Prepared meals (breakfast and lunch) were fabulous as well and their soups and cookies were some of the best we’ve ever had! Nightly cocktails and wine were always delivered with a smile. We had a couple breakfasts and one lunch in the dining room as well and all were delicious.

Rooms – Rooms are private and luxurious. Rainfall shower, outdoor hut tub, fireplace and comfortable furniture all with one of the most breathtaking views you could imagine. We joked that we need to come back to Awasi Patagonia just so we could spend more time in the room!

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have been able to experience Awasi Patagonia. We will be talking about this vacation for years to come and look forward to the day we return!

Superb accomodation and hospitality aligned to everything you might expect from Relais et Chateaux. Nothing is too much trouble to the crew who have obviously been trained and schooled in the best manner of fine hospitality. Every single one. On arrival we were greeted in the main building by the Manager and entire hospitality crew, all standing in welcome. The table and dining service is impeccable, beyond most expectations, The food, wine and cocktails superlative in every way. for example, the sommelier gave clear descriptions of wines by the glass, being genuine, informative and warm, without fail. Same for the table crew who were informative and love their jobs. All so difficult in a remote location where seasonal work exists. We loved our guide who was knowledgable, patient and responsive on our hikes and adventures and make us feel welcome every single time we connected on an adventure. The management have a lot to answer for here. They're obviously part of an organisation that understand the holistic complexities of a remote location and it just works every single time. This provider is not inexpensive but we felt we had fantastic value time and time again. On the day of our departure we were driving toward the exit and a magical rainbow appeared in front of us, our guide instinctively knowing what a fantastic photo op and farewell it was to to Awasi.

Dear Mr. Localmo, Thank you so much for contacting us. It would be my personal pleasure to speak with you about the experience we design, and the special programs we offer so please indicate a telephone number and convenient time to make the call.
