This was my second stay at Awasi Patagonia, last time was almost 8 years ago. First time with my brother and this second time with my family, two boys aged 10 and 12. We had been in Chile and Patagonia for a week prior to arriving at Awasi Patagonia, and had been dismayed with many hotels being short staffed and delivering sub-par, slow service. Something we have been seeing worldwide since the pandemic. Arriving at Awasi Patagonia this all changed. Service was absolutely seamless and beyond the expected. From the general manager, Cristian, to the hosts, wait staff, housekeeping. they were all just a pleasure to be around and seemed genuinely happy to be delivering hospitality again after the pandemic. Special mention to our guide, Christian Hess, who our kids loved to be around and who really got us off the beaten path. After spending a few days in the heart of the National Park at another property, passing many people on the more well know trails, it was refreshing to explore less known, but equally as impressive, parts of the National Park, and beyond - without seeing anyone. Our full day excursion to Sierra Baguales, outside the park, was the highlight of our entire trip to Chile. This was our first time in Patagonia during the Austral fall and it was majestic with the colors of the leaves, less crowds and little wind. Shows tat exploring places beyond the traditional "high season" really pays off. Kudos to Awasi for investing in your staff and delivering unparalleled service to your guests during these still turbulent times in travel.

I can not say enough good things about our experience at Awasi Patagonia. The accommodations and views are incredible, but the Awasi team really blew us away with their commitment to hospitality. They are what makes this place so special! A couple highlights: We are plant-based/pescatarian and were not sure what the options would be in this remote part of the world. Awasi went above and beyond in providing a variety of options (even on the hiking trails). In addition, the team knew who everyone was by name and their dietary restrictions - never once had to remind them. The food here was incredible. Also, at dinner they serve local Chilean wines which were amazing. The sommelier poured many small batch wines that you will never find anywhere else! Definitely do the wine pairings with your meals :) You will be assigned a personal guide and they are incredible. We were lucky to have Tomas and he helped plan our time in Patagonia perfectly. I was hesitant to do the iconic hike to the base of the towers, but he assured me I could do it. So glad I listened to him! The in-room massage was amazing followed by a dip in the wood burning hot tubs!

I was lucky to stay at all 3 Awasi properties during my trip to South America starting with Awasi Patagonia. This property is located on a private estancia, up on the side of a mountain. The views from the rooms and lodge are out of this world. Waking up to views of Torres del Paine every morning and watching the sunset every evening over the towers was out of this world. I can't say enough about the staff at Awasi Patagonia. First, my guide Christian was amazing. He listended to what I wanted out of the trip and tailored it perfectly. The dinner and bar staff remembered my name and greeted me every meal. The front desk staff were so helpful and kind as well. The staff truly sets Awasi apart. The rooms are large and comfortable. They provide beer, wine and snacks in the room as well. The food served here is out of this world good. Can't say enough good things about it! There are many places you could stay to experience Patagonia but trust me - Awasi is the best!

Awasi Patagonia blew me away. Just fabulous - every detail was pure class. The cabin accommodation is 10/10 and then some…the views are to die for! Hot tub and open fire prepared for you daily. Food and wine sublime - perfect pairings! Service across the board was faultless. It’s the perfect escape from a busy life - in a unique and stunning location …I want to go back already!! The private guide was great, took us on trips I will remember forever…which is been a little fitter as it was a bit tiring - the accommodation is so wow that it’s a big effort to leave for the trips but you must - Patagonia has to be seen to be believed - May stay an extra day next time just so we can kick back and relax for one day ….)

Dear birrellm, We love the photo of the snowcapped landscape outside your villa, thank you for sharing it with us. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed your time in Patagonia and especially the excursions with Hans. As far as staying an extra day for relaxation – in our minds a day relaxing by the fireplace, or the hot tub, is always a day well spent. Now that you’ve been to Atacama and Patagonia, we would love to welcome you to our home in the Atlantic rainforest. Best, The Awasi Team

Our trip to Awasi Patagonia was a couple years in the making due to Covid. One would think that after all the waiting and dreaming about being to this once in a lifetime location, it couldn’t possibly meet the high level of expectations we had in our heads. Well, it easily surpassed them all!! Service – This is where Awasi shines and is up there with the best hotels in the world. From completely taking care of a lost luggage situation with the airline and making sure it got delivered as quickly as possible, to ensuring our hotel in Santiago had set up a Covid test for travel back to the US, to heating up the hot tub prior to our arrival back at the villa, to starting a nightly fire, nothing seemed too much to ask. The staff always handled the requests with a smile and were genuinely eager to handle our requests. While there are so many people to thank for the service, we at least wanted to mention and thank Cristian (property manager), Christian (restaurant manager), Fran (front desk), German (dining), Jose (driver), Lidia (dining), Massiel (bartender) and Catalina (front desk) for all their outstanding service and friendliness. Excursions - We had the privilege of having Ignacia as our guide. From the moment we met her on the first day she was welcoming and knowledgeable . She patiently sat down with us on Day 1 and talked us through all the options we had for the next four days of our adventure. She took our input into what we liked and preferred to see as well as the upcoming weather to prepare a perfect 4 day itinerary for us. She was patient with us when we got a little tired on the hikes and needed to slow down, always encouraging (especially going to Base Torres), always available to stop and take a couple pictures, and such great guide and amazingly wonderful person. We met a few other guides briefly and they all seemed wonderful; however we couldn’t imagine a better experience than what we had with Ignacia. Food – As others have mentioned, Awasi provides the option of selecting items from their daily menu or ordering from a selection of comfort foods (don’t hesitate to do this if you’re looking for a simple, but delicious, burger after a grueling day of hiking for example). Prepared meals (breakfast and lunch) were fabulous as well and their soups and cookies were some of the best we’ve ever had! Nightly cocktails and wine were always delivered with a smile. We had a couple breakfasts and one lunch in the dining room as well and all were delicious. Rooms – Rooms are private and luxurious. Rainfall shower, outdoor hut tub, fireplace and comfortable furniture all with one of the most breathtaking views you could imagine. We joked that we need to come back to Awasi Patagonia just so we could spend more time in the room! We consider ourselves very fortunate to have been able to experience Awasi Patagonia. We will be talking about this vacation for years to come and look forward to the day we return!

Dear Michael C, Your words made our teams day; we know that after such a long wait to return to traveling there are high expectations and we are delighted to know your trip pleasantly surprised you. Congratulations on accomplishing Base Torres, that is definitely no small feat. We hope you’ve been able to make the cookies and bars back at home and we would love to see how they’ve turned out. Whenever you're ready to plan that return turn, our team will be more than happy to help! Best wishes, The Awasi Team

What makes the Awasi special is how all the little things add up. You first have to start with the people. Our guide Miguel became nothing short of a wonderful friend during our stay and was a source of great knowledge as we explored the park and surrounding area. Miguel was not the only standout however and the entire staff go to great lengths to make every guest feel special. Next, the scenery and aesthetic charm are exceptional. The property is situated to provide incredible views of the park, particularly the Torres. If you want to drink in the best of Patagonia's scenery each day, this is the place to do it. The villas are spacious and cozy and perfectly fit the landscape. Finally, the food is extraordinary. We New Yorkers like to think we speak with some authority when it comes to food and I would put the Awasi up against any of the city's best chefs. The emphasis on local ingredients greatly adds to the experience and helps to immerse guests in Patagonia. Again, highlighting the lengths to which the Awasi goes to accommodate guests, there is a full vegetarian menu available for each meal. Dinner is not to be missed. If you love nature and hiking go to Patagonia. If you want to make the most of Patagonia, go to Awasi.

Dear Jeff M, It was a pleasure to have you with us in Patagonia and to show you around. It seems like your truly had quite the good luck streak, from having the snowy Base Torres nearly to yourselves to crossing paths with a puma and her cubs on the way to the glacier. We hope to see you again soon back in Southern Chile -- or in the Atacama Desert or Iguazú Falls. Best wishes, The Awasi Team

The level of hospitality of the Awasi Patagonia staff is exquisite. Everyone was genuine, welcoming, and consistently anticipated how to create a thoughtful and individualized experience. The location of the property and the excursions provided were amazing. Awasi is not in the park like Explora, but with the growing crowds in Patagonia, being park adjacent with a private guide was highly preferable. We were so impressed with the level of cuisine and wine-every meal was creative, locally sourced, and would have been appropriate in a fine dining restaurant. Special thanks to Cristian, the property manager, Miguel our guide, Christian the restaurant manager, Cristobal of management, sommelier Ayelen the sommelier, chef Fabrizio, mixologist Felipe, and Lidia, Tatiana, Esteban, Javiera!

AWASI we learnt means at home and it is exactly how they make you feel from the moment you arrive. The place is breathtaking, the villas are spacious, cozy with an amazing view, food is a treat and the staff is great, they really pamper you. A special mention to Aielen the sommelier, who made us discover some really delicious wines and our guide Marcela, the best guide we had so far. A big thank you to Caitlin from central reservation for being the most helpful and dedicated reservation manager you can possibly find and to all the AWASI team for gifting us with an amazing holiday.
