Our lodge is located right in the heart of the extraordinary Torres del Paine National Park in southern Patagonia. The diverse and untouched landscapes of this area led UNESCO to declare it a biosphere reserve. Our Patagonia hotel lodge opened in 1993 on the banks of the Salto Chico waterfall. It affords an excellent view of the unique Paine Massif and two of the three impressive torres, or towers, which give the park its name. The lodge has 49 rooms and a variety of inviting spaces. Situated on a 3-hectare (7.4-Acre) site, the design borrows certain organic forms from the landscape itself, adapting to it with simple elegance. It was designed to create a dialogue with its environment, putting human beings in touch with the sublimity of their surroundings. For travellers, the lodge provides the welcome surprise of comfort in a remote area. Nonetheless, you are not isolated from nature, but rather placed "within" it.

Dear traveler, As a "passport traveler," you will be given a US$100 credit for laundry in both of the destinations you are staying in. I hope you'll have a memorable time with us! We are waiting for you. Best regards, The explora Team.

Dear mtlycrew, We happy to learn you are interested in visiting Torres del Paine National Park, a territory we explore all year round. In regards to your questions, we would like to make clear two things. The first one is that the benefit you mentioned is only valid for Atacama in Chile and Sacred Valley in Peru and it also applies to five-day stays. The second is that – even we don´t have a special benefit for Patagonia for the dates you are planning your visit- rates for April are lower than what we charge for High Season. Finally, another thing to consider staying five nights instead of four is that the cost of each additional night is lower the longer you stay. We invite you to check the rates on our website or with our reservation team via email. We would love to greet you in the near future. Sincerely, The explora Team

Dear traveler, We are happy to learn you are interested in explora Patagonia. In regard to your questions, our all-inclusive programs do consider food and the airport you should land in is Punta Arenas Airport (PUQ), where we pick our travelers up all year long. Please check our website or contact our reservation team for pick up and drop off ‘schedule. During high season, you could fly to Puerto Natales that is closer to Torres del Paine National Park, but airlines do not operate flights during low and mid seasons. All our programs are based on an arrival-to-departure experience, which includes accommodations, transfer to and from the airport, meals, beverages and the option to carry out one full-day or two half-day explorations every day. Explorations take place in small groups of no more than 8 people and are always led by a bilingual guide trained in explora’s own School of Guides. Also included in the rate are pools, hot tubs and saunas. This 2018, we are celebrating our 25th birthday and we want to invite you to live the explora experience until September with discounts of up to 50%. Check out the final prices on our reservation platform. We hope to see you soon, The explora Team.

Dear maggieminn, We happy to learn you are interested in visiting Torres del Paine National Park. This destination is known for being the best place in Chile to see pumas, particularly between the Sarmiento and Amarga lagoons- where we develop several explorations- and Lake Pehoé, where the hotel is located. These areas are the ones that concentrate the largest number of sightings, which are more likely to take place during autumn and winter when you are planning to visit us. However, it is also important for you to know that seeing a puma is also a matter of luck, meaning that we cannot guarantee you are going to see them. Some of our travelers have had the chance to see more than one puma in a day, while others have left explora without seeing one. Anyway, staying longer and coming in August increase the probabilities of having the chance to photographing them. Please note we are celebrating explora’s 25 birthday with discounts of up to 50% at explora Patagonia. We invite you to ask for a quote on our website. We hope to see you soon, The explora Team.
