Fantastic place to experience the marvels of Patagonia in great comfort and with excellent cuisine. The hotel organises a great range of tours of varying degrees of difficulty with very well qualified guides. The staff are very attentive and make the whole experience memorable

This was hands down the best trip I have ever taken. From the hiking to the horseback riding to the accommodations and food, it was all a fantastic experience. Worth every penny. Going in the shoulder season was a great plan for us. We had the Torres Del Paine park to practically to ourselves. The hikes range from 20KM and...

The area has stunning scenery and very good walking opportunities. The Chilean people are friendly, the food is good and the costs are not too high. Travelling from place to place is not easy unless you have your own transport. The roads are good in the main area but can be rough in places.

Exceptional hotel in a stunning landscape. Exceeded all expectations. Food delicious. Hikes with knowledgeably, friendly guides. Outside jacuzzi's, with a glass of champagne, on Glacier lake an experience not to be missed! Riding hikes and BBQ also highly recommended. If you can afford to go here JUST DO IT!

From the first minute that we arrived it was amazing. The staff greeted us as we entered, check-in was a breeze and our bags were in our room by the time we finished with the paperwork. The view out of our room # 2, omg, was breathetaking. The manager Rosaria and her staff do an excellent job, and don't miss...

We had a great time at Explora Patagonia. The service was warm and friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. You feel like you're on a ship given all the wood and water views. While the service was great, the real standout is their hikes and amazing guides. Alvaro, Caro and Maki were all great. The hikes were beautiful and...

Great guides, they enhance your day. Beautiful landscape ! Our room had a wonderful view of the mountain range. We enjoyed our breakfast to start the day, and the dinners when we returned at night. I had a wonderful massage.

The Explora is deep within the beautiful national park that is Torre Del Paine and its exterior looks simply plain but its interior is simply elegant - though quietly so to allow you to appreciate the extraordinary view - this hotel rests on a hill looking over a glacial lake fed by the towering Torre Del Paine mountains. No hotel...

You're in one of the most beautiful areas on Earth, and it reeks of untamed wildness and ruggedness. Explora is your oasis to return home to following each challenge you take on. They make it look easy, but you know it's not. Every detail is thought out. Since we're (I'll change to the subjective case now) here to experience the...

Last week we spent four nights at Explora. It is an all inclusive hotel with picturesque views in the middle of Torres del Paine National Park. Each evening, the guides help you decide which hiking or horseback excursion you wish to do the next day. Each excursion that I went on was wonderful and the guides could not have been...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our lodge is located right in the heart of the extraordinary Torres del Paine National Park in southern Patagonia. The diverse and untouched landscapes of this area led UNESCO to declare it a biosphere reserve. Our Patagonia hotel lodge opened in 1993 on the banks of the Salto Chico waterfall. It affords an excellent view of the unique Paine Massif and two of the three impressive torres, or towers, which give the park its name. The lodge has 49 rooms and a variety of inviting spaces. Situated on a 3-hectare (7.4-Acre) site, the design borrows certain organic forms from the landscape itself, adapting to it with simple elegance. It was designed to create a dialogue with its environment, putting human beings in touch with the sublimity of their surroundings. For travellers, the lodge provides the welcome surprise of comfort in a remote area. Nonetheless, you are not isolated from nature, but rather placed "within" it. ... more   less
