The location, service, tours, food and wine and spa were EXCELLENT!!! Was extraordinary and such a great trip. We went for 5 nights and was perfect amount of time. We stayed in Santiago before and went to wine county after. Chile was a great trip and Tierra Patagonia delivers !!!
Tierra Patagonia is a truly an extraordinary experience with warm inviting staff that make you feel so welcomed. As you enter this unique, beautifully designed architectural masterpiece you are greeted by the manager Nicholas who is beyond professional and truly cares about making your holiday a happy time. Then you meet Basilio and Kineret who are full of energy and enthusiasm. They put together amazing excursions based on your needs. Each hiking excursion blew us away... from hiking above the glaciers on a suspension bridge to a more challenging hike to the base of Torres which are both full day hikes. They also had many half day hikes that were scenic and memorable as well. The whole staff from the hiking guides to the servers who gave us delicious healthy meals were exceptional !!! We have traveled the world and have experienced mostly luxury experiences... Tierra Patagonia is definitely a 5 plus experience and recommend it highly if you are going to Patagonia! Thank you again Tierra for making our experience extraordinary! Kyung (Kei) and Bob D.…
When making the investment in time and treasure to explore a distant place, the less hassles and worries to deal with the better. Our stay at the Tierra Patagonia was simply first rate. From being greeted on arrival at the door by the Hotel Manager, to having the Excursion Department personally creating our itinerary, the Housekeeping staff servicing the rooms twice a day, and the excellent dining facilities, there was nothing to do but revel in the beauty of Patagonia. Each of our daily excursions were led by expert guides, who really knew the history and geography of Patagonia. You never felt like you were on the "double decker" bus being shown the sights. The cuisine was perfect. There was variety for all, and you could dine as you pleased ( the 45 minute American eat and run or the 2 hour leisurely European/South American dining experience). Three members of our party had a special interest in the design of the hotel and were given a personal tour by the Hotel Manager. Tierra Patagonia helped create the trip of a lifetime.…
Awesome place to stay! The view from your room is spectacular and you can open the window to feel the patagonian breeze. The tours and guides are plentiful and offer a wide variety to suit most people,s sense of adventure, and if not enjoy the infinity pool, it's just like being outside! The food is excellent, and plentiful, the bar is great, try the Calafate Sour, yum, and enjoy being pampered.
The views and warmth of welcome have you from the moment you arrive. A quality eco- lodge with excellent food, trips into the wilds of Patagonia and staff…an excellent base for Patagonia ….we look forward to returning
We had a fantastic stay at Tierra Patagonia. The hotel is quite something, designed to sit impeccably within the landscape rather than on it. What attracted us to Tierra was the range of excursions that were on offer - not all of them being super physical. Kineret did a fantastic job organising the trips for us that catered for a variety of interests and abilities. Torres Del Paine National Park never fails to impress and Tierra is a wonderful place to stay for it. The guides did a wonderful job - Rodrigo, Sebastian, Thomas and Anto. A special mention to Nicholas (the hotel manager) who clearly cares deeply about the guest experience and the hotel. Internet connection is excellent for such a remote place. The food choice is also good and would highly recommend the Calafate Cheesecake Ice cream for dessert.…
Outstanding in many ways, accommodation, scenery , staff, comfort, food, beautiful surroundings. Having returned home to Australia and grateful for living here, I would return to Tierra Patagonia in a heartbeat, just fabulous , thank you to Nicholas Russ and Ni holds our guide who made our stay even more enjoyable.
Excellent hotel for all types of travelers: for those who are looking for some adventurous hikes and for those who are just looking for relaxing. We stayed 5 nights and completed the W circuit in 3 days, using the 2 days in between to recharge and relax using all the amazing amenities offered by the hotel: massages, sauna, pool and, of course, a nice and cozy meal. For the full day hikes, the staff is well prepared and will help you to get through the day based on your fitness level. Basílio and Kineret were the best duo to set up our week of activities. Besides their professional knowledge, they were as kind as they were a family member to us. We were lucky to have the same (and the best) guide on all of our hikes. Rodrigo was not only a guide, but a leader! He kept us motivated by explaining in details all about the fauna, flora and the formations of the terrain, and at the same time he was very kind and patient, respecting the different types of fitness of the group. On the 5th and last day with him, again we felt that we’ve known him since forever. The only downside of this trip was to leave this amazing place and get back to reality! …
The food, the staff, the hotel itself— all wonderful! My only complaint would be the Torres des Paine tour as it was great, but I think they could do a better job slowing down the tour and taking more breaks for those who need it. The massages were not bad, but feel they could be improved with more training (mine was a 7/10– not as relaxing as I hoped it to be since my masseuse applied too much pressure).
We had an amazing time and highly recommend Tierra Patagonia to anyone considering a trip to Torres Del Paine! My wife and I actually started our trip in Argentina, and Tierra arranged a pick-up from El Calafate which is about a six-hour drive and brought us to the property (thank you!). The staff was wonderful and very attentive throughout the stay. The food was delicious and there are multiple options on the menu to satisfy those who prefer meat, vegan, gluten-free, etc. As soon as we arrived, the staff helped us pick excursions based on our fitness and interests and we had an amazing experience with hikes and horseback riding. The one "blemish" (for lack of a better word) during the trip was our experience with one of the guides. We had this guide twice - once for a short hike and again for a day hike - and he seemed more interested in talking about himself than things related to our actual hike - landscape, flora, fauna, etc. On our longer hike, he rushed our group even as some of us were having difficulty coming down a steep hill. We mentioned this to the manager who hopefully addressed this and we requested not to be with this guide for other excursions. Overall, this really is an amazing property with incredible views, staff, guides (with our one exception), spa + facilities! We had a fantastic experience!…
