This is so far one of my favourite hotels in Chile! Its the full package; A stunning very well chosen location with spectacular views from every single space, i l loved the decoration / aesthetics and the arquitecture is sublime blending brilliantly with its surroundings, an ode to this is being able to watch wildlife just going about its life around the hotel, i saw the chilean ostriches, guanacos and a family of foxes every day. The spa area is exactly what i dreamt about after long hikes in the Paine Massif, an indoor pool with hydrotherapy jets and the same amazing view of the lake and mountains, an outdoor jacuzzi, i had a wonderful massage and also was able to do yoga lessons. The excursion team are excellent, there are different types of activities according to how active you want to be and the guides are very knowledgeable and well prepared. I enjoyed horse riding, a variety of different hikes and now really want to get back soon to be able to do more of the activities i didnt have time to do. I definitely recommend staying at least 4-5 nights, you will regret going for less. The gastronomy is varied, they have a daily menu and always have a vegetarian option, there is also a permanent alternative menu for other type of foods in case you want something different or out of hours. The rooms are comfortable and a nice size, loved the beds and general layout, sleep with the windows open at least one night to see the full range of how the view transforms with sunrise!. Thank you so much to everyone a Tierra Patagonia!, you guys are next level and i will be returning ASAP!

My husband and I stayed at Tierra Patagonia for six nights in December 2022. I have physically returned home but part of my heart will remain. Insert all the platitudes here: trip of a lifetime, second to none, beyond compare. Every detail from the reservation process to walking out the door on the final day was done with grace and respect to all guests and the environment. It is difficult to use regular words like "staff" and "hotel". It felt like family and an experience (not just a place to stay). I cannot express enough appreciation for the service team including hotel management (Nicholas who made sure my seatbelt was buckled when we left), the excursion team (my heart and soul sister Kineret and our Torres guide Nacho), the bar & restaurant team (shout out to Jessica & Diego -- BKN!!) . Each part of this experience was carefully considered and curated down to the ingredients in your brown bag sandwich on hike days. At the end of each day we were treated to a dreamy spa or comfy room to read & relax. The rooms were everything you read in the reviews (we had a Superior and the best part was probably being on the top level but I heard there's very little difference). You don't have to worry about anything in advance besides booking the room. Upon arrival you will have several opportunities to plan your days with the excursion team and there is plenty of flexibility to change things. A driver will pick you from the airport and they will make sure your transfers are made and your bellies are full. The team is knowledgeable about the history of the region, the geography, and the impacts to the biosphere and they will talk as much or as little as you want to engage. You get a branded water bottle to use all week that you can dip in the crystal clear streams on your hike as you take a breath and absorb this gorgeous terrain. Truly an unmatched experience for us and we are grateful.

Sadly, Tierra has been purchased by a new company, and the service and standards of the hotel have noticeably diminished. Large groups should be expected on hikes as they now want to maximize the amount of guests on excursions . We were also surprised by the extremely long drives as the hotel doesn’t enjoy some of the closer proximity as others in the same region (such as Explora). The jacuzzi didn’t work the entire time which was unfortunate, we were given a litany of reasons why but the story changed each time we asked. Furthermore, the hotel has 80+ guests and only 7 total chairs poolside. The food was also a category that was severely underwhelming - beware that if you head out on a long hike, some of the food options might have sold out by the time you return and massage appointments are often missed. Furthermore breakfast is extremely limited as well as the bagged lunches on the hikes. Sadly, the hotel had us stranded in the rain for 2.5 hours as they rely on a public ferry to get us back to the 2 hour drive home needed. Other hotels have their own private boats so as to never be stuck in this situation. By then it was pitch dark and dinner at 10pm over logistics that could have been planned better. Overall, the guides were excellent and often work freelance throughout the region, but the hotel, itself, seemed worn out - broken items in the room and a management that seemed intent on herding guests into a cruise like experience rather than an exclusive one in such a beautiful place, and for such a big price.

I am hard-pressed choosing which was more impactful: the otherworldly landscape, the building befitting this magical location -or - the warm, gracious, perfect staff. I have traveled all over the world and stayed at some of the most iconic hotels, but never have I felt so welcome and cared for as we were at Tierra. This one tops them all.

Tears pricked my eyes upon arrival; the view unfolding as you walk from the lobby to the great room is a carefully choreographed wonder. Once you arrive in what will be your breakfast, dining and hangout room, you are greeted by a warming fire, welcome drink and an opportunity to discuss your itinerary and aspirations.

So much of our experience was a function of Nicholas. His patient intro to the property instantly defused travel stress. Kineret and the guides obviously love their work and this land and go out of their way to ensure you do as well. The restaurant staff, wonderful housekeeping (thoughtful touches every day…won’t spoil your surprise)…we were just so damn well cared for.

As I got on the bus for my return flight, I had tears on my eyes again! because I would miss the place and people so much.

Though I obsessed over my hotel choices - reading reviews and studying photographs - nothing does justice to the real life experience. If this sounds like a love letter, it is! If you can make it work, do!

Traveling to the end of the world is a significant investment on many levels, and it's hard not to be nervous about whether a trip such as this will live up to expectations.

Our experience at Tierra Patagonia was an integral part of our amazing experience in this remote, wildly beautiful part of the world. The hotel is stunning, from the rooms to the common spaces, and its architectural beauty enhances the connection to the landscape. Every meal was delicious - we were spoiled for choices between both their regular menu (which changes daily for both lunch and dinner) and their alternative menu (which allowed you to customize any meal to your preference). All of the staff were courteous and helpful, all of the time.

We'd like to highlight our experience staying in one of the hotel suites. The suite comes with a private guide throughout the stay. My husband is an avid photographer, and we felt that this would provide flexibility for him to enjoy our time without worrying about holding up a group. Our guide, Roberto, was professional, knowledgeable, attentive and kind. For 4 1/2 days, he identified our interests, assessed the weather, and managed our time with incredible expertise. He delivered countless moments of wonder and delight at the vast beauty of Patagonia. He taught us a ton about the history and ecology of the area. He kept our spirits up with great coaching on our epic hike to the Base of the Towers. As one small example of his attention to detail and his ability to go above and beyond, when we took our lunch break at the Towers, he remembered that I prefer hot tea, and had gone out of his way to secure and pack tea bags in advance. We know that the days are long for the guides during this busy season, but Roberto was always calm and cheerful, and his love of nature and the area really shone through.

One of the best pieces of advice I received in planning our Patagonia Chile trip was not to get hung up on "being in the park." The area is huge, and many of our favorite excursions were to areas which were not technically "in the park," but all were special in their own way. For this reason, I think Tierra is ideally situated in terms of location.

Additionally, the beautiful communal spaces (which surprisingly never felt crowded, even during high season) create a sense of community for guests who wish to chat and share their experiences. We could see that all the guests were having their own unique experience, and we had a lot of fun meeting travelers from different parts of the world.

Gracias más profundas to Tierra Patagonia and Roberto for an epic stay and making our Patagonia dreams come true!

This is very much a high-end hotel near the entrance, but not in, the Torres del Pines National Park.
The hotel itself is a beautiful serpentine construction that has been expertly blended into the surrounding hillside to the point where you don't even realise it’s there until you've arrived.
On arrival, you are greeted by Nicholas the manager who is, without any doubt, one of the most personable and hands-on managers I've experienced in all my travels around the world. The rooms are very well appointed with a large picture window facing the mountains and there is a beautiful spa and pool with all the necessary facilities should you wish to use it.
The main salon of the hotel combines both the casual lounge, bar and restaurant into one amazing space with a stunning view of the national park.
We were on an all-inclusive package which included everything other than premium spirits and wines but the selection within our package was good quality. Breakfast was excellent but some of the evening meals were a little disappointing for the price, but all were acceptable.
Included daily hikes and horseriding and visits to glacier were included and a big shout out to Jonathan and Michelle who were superb guides. All of the activities were expertly planned and Kini is invaluable
All in all, a fantastic hotel with amazing staff, management and location for the National Park

The hotel is situated by a lake with amazing views of the Torres del Paine which can be viewed from one's bedroom and from all the public rooms. The hotel provides a car/van from Punt Arenas airport for a 4 hour journey and return. The welcome when you reach the hotel is warm and helpful as you are given a comprehensive tour of the facilities and a list of excursions to book for the following days. Our bedroom was spacious as was the bathroom which is equipped with a hot tub as well as a rainhead shower. The package is all inclusive so we ate copiously at breakfast, lunch an dinner. Yes, it's expensive but, with drinks included there are no hidden extras. The hotel offers a variety of excursions dependent on your levels of mobility and certainly the guides we had were hugely knowledgeable and friendly. What a great experience!

This is an incredible hotel in a really amazing location. From the moment you arrive the staff are so welcoming and attentive you never want to leave. Nothing is too much trouble and you immediately feel relaxed. We had 3 nights here as part of a trip round Argentina and Chile and this place was the highlight. Lovely room with a view you could look at forever, great food and drink (all included) and excursions which were amazing (though the Base of the towers walk at 22km and 1000m elevation was challenging 😬). This is one of our top two hotels in the world and I hope to get back one day. Stay, you'll love it!!

Hello, Danielle D.: Thank you for reaching out. You need to fly from Santiago to either Punta Arenas or to Puerto Natales. There are more flights to Punta Arenas, but Puerto Natales is closer to Tierra Patagonia. Punta Arenas is located 4 hours by car, from Tierra Patagonia. Puerto Natales is just one hour from our hotel. We are unable to send links and attachments from this platform. Please reach out to us through our website TierraHotels and we will be delighted to send you all the requested information. Warm regards, Cecilia - Guest Service
You will have plenty of options to enjoy without hiking on rough terrain. You can go out in the vans to the Glaciers and see icebergs, waterfalls, plenty of scenery and perhaps even the Puma's if you are lucky. You have the dining area, bar, and relaxation area on main floor and that's it. The rest of the hotel are the rooms and spa and indoor pool which are all great. I took about 200 photos and scenery is breathtaking. Clearly like no other place on Earth.

Hi, sorry for the late answer! Either Punta Arenas which is in the south or El Calafate (in the north) are the closest airports! If you choose el Calafate you can visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. If you choose Punta Arenas you can visit Magdalena Island with its penguins. We were staying 4 nights at the Tierra Patagonia Hotel. I recommend 4 or more nights. Enjoy!
