Fantastic views and great views from your cabin window. A place not to be missed when visiting Patagonia. The box lunch of salmon salad is fantastic along with all the other goodies, and desserts are wonderful. We enjoyed sitting out on the benches in the evening enjoying the sunset and the wonderful views in front of us.

We had a fabulous trip to the Torres del Paine national park, and had a superb stay at the Hotel del Paine. Here is what we loved about this hotel: 1. The entire booking and communication experience was fantastic. Kudos to the staff at the hotel for answering all my questions, being very flexible with my booking, and proving help and helpful advice at every opportunity. 2. We made the booking by contacting the hotel directly. We made a 50% payment up front and the remainder at the end of our stay. Make sure to opt for the breakfast and dinner along with your room rate (extra charge). We were initially not keen about this, but in the end were very grateful that we included these meals. 3. The hotel includes several small villas (single bedrooms with attached baths), as well as some other rooms in the main building and others. 4. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable (no TVs or phones) - but you dont need a TV here anyways. Most rooms have a beautiful view of the TdP mountains. The furnishing and mattresses are a bit dated, but that was okay with us. There were no closets in our room. 5. All meals are served in the main hall. All meals are buffet style and are fantastic!! Full breakfast with continental and Argentine dishes, fruits, juices cereals etc. Dinners were superb with multiple meat options, vegetables, fruits and desserts. 6. The main hall also features a full bar with many cocktails, beers and wines available for purchase. 7. The hotel offers many excursions - contact them in advance to find out all the options. 8. The outdoor lawn and seating area offers grand views of the mountains - we were really lucky that we had glorious weather on 2 days out of three that we were there. 9. And once again, the staff really made the difference - my compliments to all of them. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was so grossly over priced for the quality of the food, service and amenities. The room was fine but not facilities for making hot drinks other than in the corridors but there were no cups to use or hot water. So you needed to walk all the way back down to the other end or go to the bar and sign for it. All evening meals from the restaurant were cold when served including morning scrambled eggs from the Baine Marie. There is no quality control on the meals as we ordered vegetarian sandwiches and the 3 came out different. Mine had lettuce, tomato mushroom capsicum and corn in a dry roll! We re ordered pasta a second night and it was definitely not the same as previously and tasted as if it were out of a packet and not edible. Drinks- cocktails were impressive to look at and generally nice. Drink service at dinner was appalling and you had to keep asking for a drink from arrival to when you left. We got an all inclusive package because it seemed it was going to be cheaper. Well all inclusive does not include tips it seems. So we had to sign for our meals and drinks every time which they had a total for. You then had to decide if you would agree to the 10%add on. A cup of coffee was $8USD for example. So it adds up every time. The staff would chase you out of the restaurant/cafe and hover over you while you signed and agreed or not. It was so over bearing and uncomfortable. And the service was terrible but I am not sure they knew how to do their work. The excursions were ok but most can be done without a guide. Those staff were generally very good but one did not read our small group well when going to the base of the towers and raced ahead of everyone without keeping an eye on the slower ones. And one did have an injury on the way back which he didn’t know until the person came out with the help of two other walkers. The region is lovely and we saw amazing cloud formations and sunrise and sunsets. Not sure I would recommend it though as I am sure there are places easier to get to with better hotel facilities.

Lovely place, great view of the Torres Del Paine, great people and delicious food. Also ecologically sustainable and a good price as well. Horses and cows wander freely in the yard and the surrounding area. Can’t say enough about this place!

Ordered a burger meal with chips and my partner ordered the shredded beef ciabatta with fries. The burger itself was tasty and well presented. The portion of chips, well it wasn't so much of a portion as perhaps 15 or so chips. Im not usually one who is too fussed by the amount of chips with a meal, but 1.there was nothing else on the plate 2.the meal cost £17.50!!! So I asked the waiter if we could have more chips and made a reference to the fact that there were very few chips on our plate. He bought us a portion 5 times larger than the one we each had on our plate and charged us £8 for the privilege. Wouldn't go back. Wouldn't recommend. There's only better places to stay. We stayed nearby and walked here. Far nicer and less pretentious places out there!

Starting with the positive; -Accommodation is very nice. I really like the individual cabins (4 rooms to a cabin). They are clean with great views and very comfortable beds. Our room had a table and chairs by a window, and it was lovely to look outside and see horses grazing in the garden. -Great location by the National Park entrance. Nature at its best, and stunning views from the front of reception. -Reception and waiting staff in the restaurant are very nice and provide very pleasant and helpful service. Especially our waiter Diageo - very professional. The negative; -You are told what time you are having your dinner; either a 19:30 or 20:30 sitting. -Hope for quiet neighbours as the timber walls are thin with no soundproofing! -Chef or management has no idea what to cook for vegetarians. My first night was ok (few veg side dishes in the buffet) but after that it went downhill. Day 2 I had one pasta option on a ‘buffet’. After this I mentioned the limited options to reception who passed it in to the kitchen and she assured me it was sorted. Day 3 (set menu only) I was expected to have a large version of everyone’s side salad. After a day of hiking I was hungry! So I asked for something else and got 2 grilled peppers with 2 almost raw eggs cracked into each. (Worst meal I have ever been served) Day 4 was polenta that everyone had along with 2 slices of a boiled potato and 2 tablespoons of veg on top. These ‘meals’ are not acceptable when it was a) mandatory with the booking to pay for half board and b) there is nowhere else nearby to eat instead. Everywhere else in Chile provided very well for vegetarians during my 3 week stay, even in more remote places such as nearby Puerto Natales and Easter Island. This hotel are 20 years behind the rest of the world in this aspect.

Dear Lousie, I'm sad to read your stay with us was eclipsed by the most important matter when staying in remote places like Patagonia. Our main goal is for all the passengers to have the better, if not the best, experience of the park and surroundings while staying in our hotel. We are aware of what happened those days with your dinner service and we are truly sorry about it. As a team, we took it as a lesson to improve things for good and make sure, and enforce, this experience does not repeat with anyone else. Regards.

We truly enjoyed the gorgeous view of the Torres del Paine across the Rio Serrano from our room and from the dining room. Each evening we had a 4 course dinner which was included with our inclusive reservation. Each dinner had a tasty appetizer, soup, choice of two entrees (typically fish/seafood and beef/lamb) plus dessert. My favorite was the king crab lasagne. The dinners were varied and included fresh vegetables and herbs from the on site greenhouse. Rooms were clean and decorated with local crafts. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. We spent 4 nights in #2 and truly enjoyed our stay and daily hiking in the national park. We saw a puma the first day - fortunately from the car and not while we were on foot. Also saw condors, foxes and guanaco. Things to know: You need to walk from most rooms to the central building where the dining room is located. Wi-Fi is only available in the central building, not in the rooms. Lots of seating available in the central building if you want internet access. There is not a gas station in the park, so we had to plan ahead to have enough to return to Puerto Natales. We visited in late March. This is considered late in the season so fewer excursions with guides were available.

We were travelling with a group of 10 of Punta Arenas. The coordination of transfers from PA to the hotel went well. We stopped at a farm for a lamb BBQ lunch which was interesting and had the best lamb of our entire trip. When we arrived at the hotel we were expecting some type of briefing of how the tours and meals were organized, but we were really left on our own. We made our way to the excursion desk to find there were only 2 full day and 2 half day tours offered each day. We had been told to wait until we arrive to book tours to accommodate any changes in weather, but that did not work well for us. We were only going to be there 3 days and had the Grey Glacier booked for one of the days. After much discussion, they said they didn't have any vans or guides available but agreed to try to accommodate our tour requests. The next day we were told they would be able to offer us the tours we requested. I truly appreciate them being flexible, but still it was disappointing to deal with the frustration. Having said that, our tour guides Franco and Sebastian were absolutely terrific and deserve a big shout out! Also, there are a lot of trails available within the property that you can do on your own. My suggestion would be to decide what tours you wanted that include a van and book them ahead of time then fill in the time with hiking on your own from the hotel. The scenery is just beautiful! The hotel itself was adequate. It was beautiful to wake up to the sunrise and mountains and horses (which seem to just wonder the property). The front desk was very friendly but the bar staff much less so. Lunch and dinner was available in the bar and breakfast and dinner was available in the dinning room (though no one told us that on check-in). The food was okay, nothing special. Food was very expensive. We had the all inclusive, but the last day had to pay for lunch, a sandwich, bowl of soup, small pizza and 4 sodas came to $150. Each building had a coffee station setup but seldom were there clean coffee cups available and the dirty coffee cups would sit there for a day or more. Bringing a travel mug would solve this if you're a big coffee drinker. The rooms were fine. They were clean and had large windows with awesome views. For the most part the hotel was quiet but for one family who's kids were riding small bikes up and down the hallway and through the dining room - rather annoying. The hotel staff wore masks inside. We found that all of Chile was diligent about wearing masks indoors. Most people did not wear masks outdoor as there is plenty of room for distancing outside.
