The hotel sits partway up the mountain at Åre Ski Resort, accessible from below by cable car or long twisting road. From the hotel's main entrance onto the snow, there is both a trail downwards and a lift upwards. The restaurant serves a reasonable buffet breakfast as well as formal, gourmet lunches and dinners. The outdoors hot tubs have a...

Our party of 4 stayed here during our travels around Sweden. A fabulous hotel, our rooms were split level, with views out directly onto the ski slop, and the other room's view across the forest. A great apres-ski band, very engaging. The hot tub was amazingm with views across the frozen lake, and looking up at the stars. Staff very...

We stopped over as a party of four during our Swedish Excision. Both rooms were split level connected by a what can only be called a ladder which whilst being safe needed a little more care especially after a night out. Breakfast was excellent. The live rock band was a treat at the end of the day and finished promptly...

Located at the top of the train from Are central square with a chair lift just metres away to whisk you up the mountain. It is also possible to ski down to the Kabin area where buses stop and will take you off to Duved or Bjornen. There is a live band playing at the end of the ski day...

The hotel is in good location and has a live band apres-ski. just watch your eardrums because it is impossible to hear or talk as it is located next to the hotel reception. You can hardly move in the room and the toilet and shower room are really tiny. Staff are pleasant but the it is not service oriented.

We stayed five days over new year and really enjoyed the hotel, it offers the perfect combination of an excellent location right at the slopes, great kitchen, very friendly staff, very lively after ski events, but well managed to not disturb the hotel guests too much (it runs exactly from 15:00 to 17:00), our rooms were on the fifth floor...

We have just returned from a week's skiing in Are, staying on the mountain. The location and building are superb. Lovely friendly staff but it felt under staffed and I suppose inevitably they are seasonal workers and an old hand at the helm might have helped. The 2 hot tubs looking over the lake are a delight. The dining room...

Stayed at Fjällgården for 1 night in August. The hotel location is over viewing Åre and if you are here during winter it's perfect because the ski lifts are just outside. Cozy rooms, great breakfast and friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is perfectly located right by the perfect slopes and the elevator, no need to walk far! Very cozy place, good breakfast and nice restaurant for dinner. One of the best afterski in the area with live music. Relax in one of the hot tubs outside with a mesmerizing view and enjoy later reading a book by the fireplace...
