Staff all helpful. However beds are not made up on arrival and as we arrived after midnight, last thing we needed to do was make our beds. Request a room overlooking the pool as we were towards the back and had no sun on the patio all day. Could only get internet when in reception area. Kitchen area very small, ie sink with only cold water, nowhere to put food and would not advise anyone to cook in their room as smell would stay in your room all day. Excellent location for beach and shops
Nice size rooms and balconies / patios. Unusually (from past experience in Greece) the bed was comfortable with a firm but not rock hard mattress. Bathroom as expected, clean and tidy with plenty of hot water at all times. Row of sun beds on the sunny side of the pool, which was clean and well kept, and plenty of shady sitting areas. Friendly staff with Debbies and Maria in attendance. Limited snack menu (no dinner items) available until about 20:00 and a good buffet breakfast in a dedicated room (4.50€ each). Free Wifi, couldn’t get it in our balcony very well but we were round the back and it was a weak signal but OK round the pool and bar area. I don’t know what the other rooms were like but you couldn’t really do much self catering in ours, there was a single electric hot plate, one casserole dish & hardly any work surface for prep or serving plus the sink had a cold tap only and no drainage area. We didn’t mind this, there was the good buffet breakfast, bar snacks all day after breakfast and you are a short walk away from a couple of very good bakeries. You are also a very short walk to the sea front and a row of tavernas and bars so a good location for the beach. If you hire a car you will plenty of local parking. Used most of the tavernas, ate at Amos several times and had a nice meal and friendly service every time and also discovered the Irish bar, Shenanigans, far end of the resort, which keeps a cracking pint (Guinness and and Kilkenny) and does some very good food.…
Excellent staff. Reasonably priced bar. Smallish pool though ideal for the amount of guests. Excellent views from balconies. Can nit comment on the food as did not eat any food from hotel kitchen as self catering.
We have just returned from a 9 night stay at Ammon Garden and are missing the place already. The apartment was roomy enough for a party of 3 including our teenage son. We decided to pay an extra 5 euros per day for air con. This was excellent and a must have for us as it was so hot at the end of August. Debbie the owner is very friendly as is Maria who served us (reasonably priced) drinks and snacks at the bar. The pool area is lovely, never crowded and always sunbeds available. The location is great, near enough to the sea front and also the Old Town Square - both of which have some excellent restaurants. Even with its central location the area immediately around the hotel was always quiet and we had no problems getting a peaceful night's sleep. We would definitely recommend this hotel.…
Just come back from this lovely hotel. It's between the beach and the town very very handy. Beers are cheap and it's quite as a mouse at night so you can get a decent nights kip. All in all wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thank you Ammon garden
