This is a tough one to review because my expectations were set very high from all of the reviews on here as well as the allure of having a butler for the first time. After reading the reviews in detail, it seemed like from the moment I walked through the front doors, I would experience delightful service with pleasant surprises,... More

My 3rd visit to Santa Maria, and it was great. Resort is small and quiet and is ideal for these reasons. I visited July 29 - Aug 5 and felt that it has all the amenities required to satisfy any seasoned traveler. There is only 100 rooms and was sparkly populated. The smaller main pool was occupied by 15 persons... More

Just came back from this hotel. And like everyone else, the accommodations, the beaches, the people are lovely. But the food is not as wonderful as the other comments have suggested unless they are comparing the food to hospital cafeteria food or canned goods. For all the fresh fruits, fish and vegetables please learn how to prepare and serve them... More

I will start out that the beaches are so beautiful, the ocean crystal clear and the rooms are comfortable and big. That's it! The breakfast buffet sucks, everyday the same thing and usually it's cold. We ended up asking for boiled eggs and it was hit and miss. One day they were not cooked at all! The grill at the... More

Unfortunately all the hype about this hotel is exaggerated. Feel like I have been fooled by the feedback of prior visitors. Just came back from 16th trip to this island and first time in this hotel and would not recommend it if you want a 5 star experience. It is a 3 star at best. There are only 3 restaurants... More

We spent a relaxing week at the end of July at this quiet, nicely located resort. There were several wonderful aspects that earned 5 stars, however there were also a few "big misses" that a 5 star resort shouldn't have, regardless of whether in Cuba or not. ROOMS These are the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in while in... More

Very well located. Nice rooms (request 1st floors). 3 beaches. One is very good. Nevertheless, they should make a big effort to clean the beach (you will find plenty of plastic! if you walk). The restaurant Los Navegantes is good. Very good service too. Pizza beside the swimming pool is good. Poor breakfast and very bad organized. If the recommend... More

Together with my wife we visited several resorts, in various places of the world, but never found a place as nice as this one. The resort is relatively small (100 rooms), and well separated (by several kilometres) from any other resort in Cayo Santa Maria. Being on the headland of a small peninsula there are 3 different beaches, one better... More

Been to Cuba 4 times now and this resort was my favourite so far Pluses are: Outdoor showers attached to your suite bathroom, nothing like taking a hot showers under the stars. 3 different beaches offers daily different experiences throughout the day, waves on one, snorkeling another and evening sunsets on another. Would love to go there again but I... More
