Wathsala Inn is a bit basic, but did the job - we were able to get to the starting point of our climb of Adam's Peak in no time. The views from the hotel were mesmerizing - from the lobby, we sat there for hours with a beautiful view of Adam's Peak and the surrounding scenery, really stunning. The restaurant served...

My husband and I stayed for only one night at Wathsala Inn. The room and bathroom are not fancy but adequate for a 1-night stay. We picked it because it was only a 10-minute walk to the beginning of the Adam's Peak hike. The best part of the hotel is the restaurant area and the huge open air views of...

This is a great location to climb Adam's Peak. The room, while very large, was filthy, though. Much construction going on. It is a grand old building, though. The floor mats and mosquito netting were beyond dirty - blech! The tankless water heater worked fine for the shower once I figured out how to turn down the temp. The food...

We would have loved to have a bit more time but only stayed one night for the climb of Sri Pada. The rooms were huge with a nice view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant very much enjoyed. Shower was only lukewarm but not a drama. Thank you!

We stayed here the night we walked Adam’s peak. The idea was to get some sleep before the climb started at 1am. The hotel is a building site and the room and beds were damp. I expect that was partially because all the rooms were open to the outside with the walls not actually reaching the ceilings. It was very...

Great location close to adams peak trail and vibrant atmosphere of travellers lodge. However, the rooms need a bit of love. Spiderwebs and 4 of their inhabitants in the shower, some other insect. Food ok and staff very helpfull. Fine if you just need one night of sleep and do not expect more.

We booked the "deluxe" room just because of the bad reviews we had read on Tripadvisor. It was a big room with balcony facing Adams Peak however the room was super cold we had to sleep in our clothes and two thick blankets and there was no warm water in the morning. The location is good just a short walk...

Now this is a good example of a place crumbling down around your ears, which is a shame because the bones of the inn are good. The staff were very nice and trying hard to be helpful. The problem is that the hotel owner really needs to fix it up. This might be happening because there was some building or...

We arrived at Whatsala in with strict instructions to get some sleep before we woke at 1am to walk Adam’s peak. So it was disheartening to see that half the hotel was a building site. THB the building work was not that loud. The room was very wooden, almost sauna feel to it. The view from the restaurant of Adams...
