I visited with a friend in July 2018. The staff is friendly and informative. We stayed in a cabin which has no electricity and the bathroom is a unit outside. The front desk will let u drop your phone off to charge. The motel is walking distance into the main area in tobermory.

We booked this hotel last minute and it turned out to be really nice! The location is great because you can easily walk into town but it is also in a treed area so you feel a bit like you're camping. The room was very VERY clean. The bed wasn't nearly as plasticy/crunchy as

Fantastic fishing in the small cold water streams to the big open water of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. Many inland lakes and rivers too! A fishing license is mandatory and available in the Tobermory local stores. Cost seems reasonable and varies due to length, residency, zones etc. Most fishing in the Tobermory area requires a boat. Local fishing charters are available and leave from Little Tub Harbour. Fish: salmon, whitefish, lake trout, pike and perch. Ellen and Bud at the Adventure the Bruce Inn will be able to assist you with finding a fishing charter. Excerpt from "Explore the Bruce" There’s plenty of fish in the sea – and in our lakes, streams and rivers. Heck, simply casting from a dock can yield a good catch. Okay, no promises but Bruce County on a whole is a favoured fishing destination in Southern Ontario. Why? You can go downrigging in the cool deep waters of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron in summer, and cast from riverbanks into the migratory run in spring and fall. Quiet inland lakes invite spinning, and the revered Saugeen River is “the” place for fly fishing. Other assets? We’re well equipped with charters, guides, derbies, tackle shops and boat rentals. You can find boat rentals available at Miller Lake Summerhouse Park, Miller’s Family Campground and Landsend Park in Tobermory. What’s more? Well, salmon, rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, lake trout, large and small mouth bass, northern pike, perch, pan fish…. Licenses & Fine Print Fishing licenses (mandatory in Ontario) are available locally and so is the Ministry of Natural Resources Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary, which includes everything the angler needs to know about seasons, possession limits and general fishing regulations. For the on-line version visit the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources website. Top 5 Places to Go Fishing in Bruce County • The piers in Southampton, Port Elgin and Kincardine • Below Denny’s dam in Southampton in fall • Fly fishing downstream of the dam in Walkerton • The Government dock in Colpoys Bay • Downrigging in Colpoys Bay

Do you welcome a small dog?
sorry, we were just guests at the Inn. You'd have to contact the owners themselves. I hope it works for you as it is a fun little community there!
