Stayed in the three bedroom loft above the cruise ticket booth, great location. Walking distance to grocery store, restaurants, wharf. Had full kitchen that had everything you need. Bbq, one full bath. It was very very clean, parking out front. decor was old but kind of charming.

My wife and I spent 6 nights in a cottage here overlooking the bay. Bed (queen) was very comfortable, the cottage quiet at night and the view from the ‘living room’ or porch was great. Cottage has a fridge, stove and microwave and the necessary pots and utensils. The gas grills were fine and convenient. Minor criticism would be the lack of clothing storage space as drawers full of extra pillows and blankets. Bathroom fine with a modern shower - no bath. Wifi worked very well with no dropped signals. Staff are very friendly and helpful. As we were there in mid May, we were glad the heaters worked well with overnight lows just above freezing. Will definitely be back again.

We stayed in cabin #3, we were warned ahead of time through reading reviews that there are some unique features to the cabin, like the add-on bathroom. Keeping an open mind the cabin was fine and we had some laughs about how unique the bathroom is but it served it's purpose. We had a great weekend in Tobermory and a great day of diving and after a day out on the water, especially when getting 4 dives in I passed out and slept great. I would stay there again especially since they accept pets and we had our small dog with us.

Well what was suppose to be Our relaxing wedding anniversary .... turned wrong real fast. We rented a cottage for The Blue Heron company and drove 5 hours to get here as we do this time of year every year. Upon getting to Tobermory we are informed that the cabin we rented has a water pump issue (no ones fault, life happens) we got moved to a beautiful cottage and then told sorry your cottage will not be available at all for your stay. At this point we feel a little panicked as we were told the whole town is sold out we are not sure what we can do! We asked for a manager to call us( this was 10 am). We called many cottages and had many wonderful people try to help us out but unfortunately just couldn't accommodate 6 of us. By this point out Day was ruined and we missed out on our diving trip ( we didn't know if we had a roof over our heads or if we had to remove our stuff from the cottage, so really couldn't be 80 ft below water). At 12:00 placed 4 phone calls to reach no one that could help us. We waited and waited by 3:30 we went to the cruise office to look for a manager and upon that time someone came to speak to us. She was persistent to tell us we received a 20% discount and has been moved to a neighbours 2 bedroom cottage ( there is 6 of us) .. we checked our credit card and only received 10% off. We had to fight for a receipt and the extra 10% off they said we would receive. A customer should not have to fight for being inconvenienced. The general manager Ashley called us back and yelled at us for going looking for a manager, we had no right to do so. Upon speaking to her she was the rudest person I have ever spoke to and told me she was busy scrubbing toilets all day and cleaning cottages and she didn't have time for this (time to accommodate paying customers), told me how awful her day was over and over, to my reply sorry it's your job that's what you get paid for and she should take that up with her bosses not us! That was very unprofessional and bad taste. Upon the last phone call back she asked if she gave us 20% off would we finally be happy and leave her alone??? Then to top it all off she said I rented the "god damn" cottage for 2 nights move by 11 am and hung up! How is this even good customer service?? We should have been informed step by step what was happening and asked what we wanted to do because of the situation not been treated like we were a problem. We refer people her all the time and are part of diver associations that come up here and stay here all the time... you have lost us ever recommending your location ever again and word of mouth, social media and reviews mean a lot for a company like this!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We continually strive to provide a quality experience for all of our customers. Indeed we did have a water pump issue that meant two of our large cottages were suddenly unavailable for what turned out, unexpectedly, to be one of our busiest weekends of the summer. We thank you for understanding that things do sometimes happen outside of our control. As soon as we realized we would not be able to give you the cottage you had booked (The Heron Cottage) we transferred your reservation to our best waterfront cottage (Cottage #1 at Wireless Bay) which unfortunately was available for just the first two nights of your stay. It appears - to our complete surprise - that you somehow did not understand that you had that cottage for two nights. We felt that we very clearly communicated this to you when you checked in, as well as the fact that we were confident we would find something for you for the third - and final - night of your stay. Our General Manager was working on it and we advised we would be in touch to let you know the arrangements as soon as we had secured something. Happily, we did manage to find something for you - next door to your location, which (as it appears you know) was no easy feat. We deeply regret that it had only two bedrooms with a pull-out sofa in the living room and not the 3 bedrooms as booked. Truly, it was the best that we could do in a very exceptional situation. We had hoped the discount on the weekend's stay would address this short-coming. (And perhaps the bonus of the best sunset location in Tobermory.) We are always very sorry to lose the favour of any guest but hope you will not allow this one unfortunate experience in a long history of happy experiences to get in the way of enjoying all the beauties of the beautiful Bruce Peninsula in the future.

If you have a pet and want to stay in one of the most beautiful Towns in Canada, go to Tobermory, the Wireless Cottages have an amazing view, but the people are what make it special. There are many great places to stay here and the food is great as well.
