Right off the autostrada in Pizzo, Il Casal was very reasonable and convenient. Set in an orange orchard the Agriturismo offered clean, simple rooms reasonably priced. We had dinner there and it was delicious! The breakfast featured eggs cooked to your liking, lots of fresh coffee and warm cornettas. The people were warm and friendly!

Dont understand bad reviews. This is a quaint place but if you stay in this catagory you should expect it. If you want a five star establishment then stay in big city hotel. Just had a home cooked dinner that was better then any restaurant.

We booked a family room, but was really very small for three days stay. We were lucky that one of the apartments was available and we stayed there without extra costs and was very convenient. Overall the place was a bit out dated. Food was cheap and of moderate quality, pool must have had better times. Pizzo and Tropea were...

We had quadruple room. It is very basic and worn, bathroom is small and old, without even a shelf to put anything. With four of us there was not much space left to move. The good thing was kids got separate beds. The window was facing a walkway and the kitchen of the restaurant, with dogs barking every now and...

We stayed here 4 years ago and the difference in 4 years is incredible. We planned to stay 3 nights but left after 2 nights. The pool was dirty, not running and smelled. They had a wedding the night before and the leftover mess was everywhere. They finished worked at 5:30 am and had to rush and clean up for...

This charming agriturismo hotel is definitely worth visiting. It's situated in a valley and surrounded by a beautiful garden with orange trees. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, the meal was delicious and the service very friendly and warm. The service in the reception was also very friendly and polite. All in all, this hotel really knows how to...

If you are looking for a fancy farmhouse this is probably not your place. But if you're looking for a simple, not pretentious, and affordable accommodation then this is your bingo! This is a family run business so don't expect too many professional formalities but a lot of courtesy and a Southern Italian hospitality attitude. The rooms are very simple...

We very much enjoyed our six-day stay at Il Casale delle Aranche ("the farmhouse of the oranges"), in the middle of a large, family owned orange orchard about a 10 mile drive from downtown Pizzo. It has a pool and free parking. Our room was in a block of six rooms that had their own porches near the pool. The...

An agriturismo hotel in idyllic, peaceful setting. Beautiful, tranquil gardens, surrounded by orange trees. Lovely pool. The homemade food from local fresh produce was also popular with people from nearby villages. Easy to find as just off motorway exit and only a few minutes from the beach and Pizzo town by car. Rooms were very clean. Staff went out of...

“Some rooms are upstairs above the dining area, others in a separate building across the lawn. We chose the latter. If you have kids that is a better option as they can run outside in full view.”
