Welcome to a breath-taking island paradise of leafy jungle foliage and sparkling white sand. Filitheyo resort is situated in Faafu Atoll one of the most pristine atolls in the Maldives, abundant in colorful marine life and vibrant coral 120.7 km away from Male Velana International Airport it takes 35 minutes by sea plane, followed by a 15-minute traditional dhoni ride. Seaplane transfers are the only means of transportation for guests to this beautiful island. Splash in the warm turquoise lagoon, enjoy a private dinner for two under the starlight, hop on a boat excursion to explore island communities; the opportunities for rest and relaxation are limitless whilst we also offer plenty of activities and excursions. Guests at this charming Maldives resort can discover a spa like no other. Nestled in the heart of the island, the jungle spa is an oasis of calm surrounded by verdant tropical vegetation. The spa therapists offer a range of Balinese and international treatments. Filitheyo is also a paradise for scuba divers. The house reef is bursting with aquatic life including fish, reef sharks and rays, whilst our Werner Lau dive center also offers a choice of daily excursions. The freeform infinity-edge swimming pool adjacent to the sea, complete with a swim-up bar, is the perfect vantage point to relax.

Fantastic island. Just as you imagine the Maldives to be. The journey by seaplane alone was worth the trip. From Filitheyo international Airport, a small, rocking platform in the middle of the Indian Ocean, we continue by boat to paradise... There are idyllic villas under shady palm trees everywhere on the island. All directly on the snow-white sandy beach with its own coral reef. The villas have a great outdoor shower in a huge bathroom with a view of the blue sky.
The best section of the beach is between the Superior Villas 40-80. Because that's where the beach is most beautiful and at the level of Villa 65, Exit 6 is also the best exit into the reef. All you have to do is walk across the white beach, put on your mask and then dive into the finest underwater world. First you go through shimmering turquoise water over diverse corals. After a few meters the almost vertically sloping edge of the reef comes into the deep blue sea. The water is crystal clear everywhere and you can see countless fish that shine in all kinds of colors. With a bit of luck you can encounter rays, manta rays, turtles, moray eels, sharks and all kinds of sea creatures. It was crazy...
The beach area at the De-Luxe Villas is also very nice, but access to the reef is simply best on the side with the Superior Villas.
On the north side of the island, around villas 100 - 130, the beach is no longer quite as attractive. It is also much windier there and snorkeling is forbidden because of the strong current. At least that's what it says on the signs. For villas 130 – 140 there is no longer a beach. But these villas were not occupied either.
On the south side of the island there is a beautiful infinity pool with a sunset bar and a view of the water bungalows.
Food and drinks were very good. Every day there were new treats to discover at the buffet. However, I definitely recommend booking AI - otherwise it can get expensive very quickly... If you go on the trip to fish on the outer reef, which is included in the all-inclusive package, you can even have your own grilled fish served for dinner.
Conclusion: the Filitheyo Island Resort is absolutely recommended without reservation.

Booked a 10 day stay at Filitheyo primarily for diving. We opted for the ‘superior villas’ thinking it was a middle option but it’s actually the standard. I wasn’t disappointed with the villa, it had everything needed: mosquito net; clean towels changed as often as you like; spacious with an indoor bathroom but an outdoor shower; separate loo; fridge and a bottle of water daily. Right on the beach with veranda, beach loungers under an umbrella for each villa and extra towels too. It’s a very peaceful location with great views and plenty of shade. It was hot and humid at this time of the year so there were plenty of mosquitoes about so take repellent and use it. They do sell ‘soffell’ in the island shop and calamine lotion for any bites but they also spray the island daily so they do their best to minimise the chance of bites. The restaurant is large, split into 3 parts with your own allocated table and waiter; our guy was lovely- Sakibul a good service with plenty of variety of foods to choose from. We went half board and that’s enough food for the day with perhaps a small ( paid) snack at lunchtime if needed. They offer ‘happy hour’ at both bars at different times of the day. Drinks aren’t cheap so that helps with extra expenses. The dive centre is a German run outfit - Werner lau and is very efficient. They have 3 boats and can accommodate different styles of diving. Many people snorkel on the excellent house reef too. The spa offers all the usual treatments by very attentive staff, again not cheap but very pleasant. Value for money - a good choice.

Were in October 2024, the first 5 days were stormy, it rained periodically. The weather situation was corrected by the diving center, excellent dive , good water 30.5 and not even hydric, Lycra is enough. Transparency is not great, lots of plankton, visibility up to 15 sometimes up to 30 meters. But there are many animals, whitefins, reefs in abundance)) can be touched with hands, especially on night divs. Eagles, turtles, etc. It's amazing that absolutely not scare fish, you can touch quietly, you haven't encountered this before. It's okay to eat and sleep at the hotel. By the food in the restaurant, really not laksheri, but find something to taste you can always, did not remain hungry)))) drinking water really pays, but against the total cost of recreation ,this article can be neglected. The three of us were on vacation with our son, very comfortable getting two rooms in the same cabin, much more comfortable than the family Bungalows. The home reef is very good, especially 5-7 stumbling for dives.

A dream. It is a typical Maldivian structure perfectly maintained and integrated with the small island by vegetation ultra-luxuriant. Incredible seabed, like swimming in an aquarium of tropical fish of any color shape or size, turtles, sharks and even some coral. The food is good and I recommend the barbecue at the beach. The service makes you feel pampered. It is already the second time I come back here and it will not be the last.

We had a fantastic stay at Filitheyo Island Resort and are extremely pleased with our experience. The hotel offers excellent quality in every aspect, and we felt well taken care of throughout our visit.
The food was a highlight, with a wide variety of dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. There was something for everyone, making each meal a delight.
The beaches were idyllic – soft white sands surrounded by crystal-clear waters. Spending our days here was a pleasure, and it was easy to relax and enjoy the stunning natural beauty.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. We always felt welcomed and appreciated their professional yet warm approach.
The only thing that could have made our stay perfect would have been an earlier dinner service. For a family with young children, 7:30 PM can be a bit late. Additionally, it would have been appreciated if the internet was free, as this is a basic service in many other hotels.
Despite these minor areas for improvement, we are very satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend Filitheyo Island Resort to other travelers. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Our week at Filitheyo was nothing short of amazing! We were lucky the resort wasn’t busy during our stay, which meant we could truly luxuriate in the delights the island has to offer. The water was unbelievably beautiful, we enjoyed a 6am swim every morning in crystal clear blue water. The house reef was spectacular and it was easy to spend hours snorkelling up and down the reef without realising how much time had passed. A massive shout out to Wayne the Guest Service agent from the front office, Wayne was one of the workers who truly had a positive impact on our magical experience on the island. Zuhoor who took us night fishing and on the island tour was amazing as well! Thanks Wayne and Zuhoor you guys are the best!! Compliments to the head chef, the food was simply delicious every meal and completed our sensational holiday.

Second visit to Maldives and chose Filitheyo for the snorkelling on the house reef and good value.
Stayed for 8 nights in a deluxe beach bungalow (had number 9). Bungalow in great condition, very comfortable bed, spacious and well functioning outdoor bathroom and A/C 2 dedicated sunbeds on the wonderful beach with shade or sun available. No intrusive groins or sandbags on this island.
We had all inclusive, great for unlimited water, mocktails and soft drinks. Did not drink much alcohol.
Buffet food very good with lots of curry choices, other options always available.
House reef is great with lots of fish soup, many reef sharks, some turtles and saw one eagle ray. Sometimes stronger currents, but swimmable. Best snorkels were early morning at sunrise.
Minor annoyances: please repair the roofs of some of the watervillas because the tarps in place distract from the beauty of the place.
I can recommend without any hesitation

If you are looking for absolute tranquility and relaxation is the right place. All the staff are very friendly, hardworking and absolutely courteous. The Balinese massage is a dream! I can only recommend--have treated myself twice. This island is a true paradise. Food was always perfect and also varied. You can see that people are constantly thinking about what they can offer guests. Fishing was a great experience. We also booked twice-morning fishing and night fishing. Both completely different but top! Even the dinner on the beach (Wednesday evening) was very, very romantic. You got the feeling you were there all alone as a couple. For the last night we had a water bungalow - that was then again the glistening end (last bungalow on the left). Just great. Only unfortunately, we both cut ourselves on the corals on the stairs. Care must be taken. Room service top! Unfortunately, I have to deduct one point for the incurred and quite high costs for the wifi. This was included on another island in the Maldives. Too bad! Thanks for the great holiday!

Resort perfect for those looking for a coral reef accessible from Bungalow, crystal clear water, white sand and contact with nature. The international food is great, nothing is missing. The stay was crowned by the seaplane experience: breathtaking. But the real strength of this Resort is the people who work there: the reception staff, the waiters, the bartenders, the SPA operators and especially those who with constant commitment keep the environment clean and lush. You are the heart of Filitheyo. Thank you! Warm greetings by Room 22
