My girlfriend and I planned to spend 5 nights Dec 27-Jan 1 in an over the water Bungalow. After 24 hours we were in Covid quarantine at the hotel for an extra 5 nights. The Bungalow was amazing with a glass coffee table in the living room that we could feed the fish thru. The king bed was comfortable and the view from the bedroom of the lagoon and mountain were amazing. We had room service breakfast on the deck every morning. We were able to snorkel straight from platform off our deck every day. With puffer fish and Eagle Rays swimming by. The hotel even provided someone to go to the store in town for us to get supplies for our stay. Maya and the entire concierge staff were A+ in booking us Scuba trips, Jet Ski rides, Talking to the Health Department to get our covid documentation straight. The pool area and restaurant was nice. Overall Lawrence and the entire staff made our Bora Bora stay my vote for best place to quarantine on earth.

We stayed at Le Moana first 3 nights and 4 nights at La Bora Bora for our long over due honeymoon. Of the two hotels, our favorite is Le Moana for these reasons. Excellent staff esp "MAO" (front desk), concierge, and Ms. Levy (manager) who is always on the floor making sure that all guest is being serviced w/o any hiccups; everything was on point. They paid attention to the littlest details from confirming our excursions when we booked on our own and not via hotel concierge to arranging taxi etc. Instead of saying it's not my job etc all staff were always there to help in anyway possible. We especially noticed the excellent service of Le Moana when we had arrived at La Bora Bora; manager was nowhere to be seen and the assistant manager only seem to greet their VIP guests. The b-fast at Le Moana was well worth the extra $20.00. We stayed at #31 over the water bungalow. Thanks to the well trained friendly staff at Le Moana we had an amazing honeymoon. If we ever get a chance to go back, Le Moana will be our #1 go to hotel.

Selected for its central location and easy access to the main Island an Overwater Bungalow at InterContinental Le Moana is arguably Bora Bora's best bargain. With close proximity to several "Snack" restaurants plus the unnamed road circling the island the property offers incredible Sunrise and Sunset views plus the ability to get off-property and see how locals live. Check-in is a clown-show, and looks to extract maximum cost from customers so be weary and keep an eye on the bill for double charges. Concierge is admirable. On-site restaurants are simply not that wowing, so consider eating elsewhere savefor the Tuesday feast. Also, electrical outlets are scarce so if you've got room maybe bring a power strip.

It was six years ago that we stayed at the Intercontinental Le Moana Bora Bora. One of the main reason we chose to return to this resort was the extremely friendly staff and the comfortable and clean bungalows. We stayed in bungalow #12 this time..with an unobscured view of the beautiful lagoon and mountains. Even though the resort faces East (hence no view of sunset), I still enjoy waking up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise while drinking my coffee on the deck. We were also able to snorkel every day and even spotted a duck-billed sting ray under our villa. The highlight of staying at the resort was the genuine concern and hospitality from the staff. I looked forward to getting a greeting from the manager, Madame Levy, every morning as she greets each guest by name and wishes them a good day. We look forward to coming back again...maybe in a few years.

After our second visit, I confirm that the Bora Bora IC Resort Le Moana is paradise. Here are the facts that make this resort so fabulous. 1. To me, a resort on the island is more convenient than a resort on the motus. Bora Bora is a mountainous island surrounded by a lagoon with crystal blue water. The lagoon is enclosed by coral reefs and long, flat islands called “motus”—like barrier islands on the East Coast of the U.S. There are resorts with over the water bungalows (“OWBs”) on the island and also out on the motus. Le Moana is on the island. If you are staying on the island, you are not “trapped” out on a motu; you do not need a boat to ferry you to the island whenever you want to go to dine at a non-resort restaurant, tour the island, or engage in many other island adventures. For instance, if you want to dine out, Lucky’s and the Beach Club are short walks from Le Moana. A convenience store, to stock up on beverages for your OWB refrigerator, also is a short walk 2. Le Moana has a wonderful, and competitively priced restaurant. It often thought that hotel restaurants are best avoided. This is untrue for Le Moana. In addition to the restaurant at Le Moana, we dined at St. James, the Beach Club, Lucky’s, and Bloody Mary. Le Moana’s restaurant was competitively priced, and at of equivalent quality, if not better. Not to mention that it had a view of the lagoon from the table. St. James and the Beach Club did too, but not Lucky’s or Bloody Mary. Personally, I look looking out at the water when I dine on an island. And Le Moana’s breakfast buffets are fabulous. 3. Le Moana’s OWBs have wonderful fish viewing from inside the OWB. Some OWBs have glass floor openings to view fish below the OWB. Le Moana goes that two better. First, the opening is a glass top coffee table; the top slides back to allow feeding the fish. Second, under the opening of each coffee table, Le Moana has constructed small artificial reefs to attract fish—which you can view at night as well as the day, due to the lights under the OWBs. 4. Friendly, first class service. Not once did we pass a member of the Le Moana staff, even maintenance or grounds workers, without them saying “la Orana”, which I think literally translates to “hello”, but is given with a bright smile and feels more like “Welcome”. I think that Le Moana must have someone perched up in a palm tree during the day, because it seems that whenever we stepped out of our OWB, someone from housekeeping was in our unit to tidy up or leave a present of some type. The General Manager took the time to remember who we were, and stopped by to say hello and asked if we needed anything, at least once per day. 5. Great snorkeling right off your OWB. The artificial reefs, together with coral growing on the OWB piers, made for easy viewing of lots of fish. 6. Bora Diving is close. Le Moana will steer you to Top Dive, which is headquartered at its sister Resort Thalasso Spa out on a motu. Top Dive was full the day we wanted to dive, and we were helpfully redirected to the smaller (and closer) Bora Diving. What a happy result. Bora Diving staff were first rate. I had not been ding in a number of years, and said I didn’t want to go down 60 feet. (When diving it is best to be honest about your very rusty skills,) So they gave me my own dive master (Alex). She was exceptional, and without her I could have done it. Yes, it cost more to have my own private divemaster. But my wife says my life is worth it. We saw a dozen or so huge manta rays, and some blacktip sharks. Another bonus was that we circumnavigated the island by boat. 7. BTW, my wife took a boat ride out to the Thalasso Spa for a 90 minute massage, and said it was sooooo relaxing. As stated above, this was our second trip. That fact that we returned says it all. I hope to go back again.
