This was my second visit to the Castillo de Mandl. And it was just as good as ever. The service, the food, the location! All great....I'd stay again in an instant. I definitely suggest having dinner there....you will not be disappointed.

This is a beautiful old house with a long history in the village of La Cumbre and a short history as a Hotel. The site of the house is well above the town with breathtaking views. The rooms are charming. It has not been modernized but there is a lot of attention to details. Common areas are exceptionally comfortable and...

If you ever come here please stay a few days. This amazing hotel is full of history and have an amazing view. Guaranteed to relax, they try to keep everything as it was when built, which means so Internet, no TV etc. So enjoy a peaceful stay.

We spent three lovely days at the Castillo, enjoying it as it were our house. The place and the views are incredible!! Breakfast and meals are homemade and delicious. Guillermo and Eugenia were very friendly and helpful (we had a problem with our car and Guillermo personally guided us to the mechanic...). The rooms are cosy, elegant and clean. It´s...

We booked via Trip Advisor and the reviews and were very pleased. This was just the right place for us in La Cumbre. While the Castillo is a 100 year old classic stone building, it is run more like a family inn with 4 star hotel amenities. The building is a star. The main staircase should be in listed in...

Our time as the Castillo was a mixture of fluke bad lack and horrible customer service. My wife and I had booked three nights as the Castillo many months in advance because of the amazing reviews of the accommodations and the food in the attached restaurant. We booked specifically because of the available dining because we were not travelling with...

This is a place worth a trip by itself. The hosts have thought of every detail to make it an unforgettable experience. We stayed at the suite El Príncipe, its name reflects the fact that an Austrian prince, friend of Herr Macl lived there for many years. The linen is Egyptian cotton and robes are provided, all in pure white....

We had a wonderful stay in this very nice mansion situated on the top of the hill with a magificient view over la cumbre from the garden...and from the pool. The landlords were very kind and gave us tips to visit the places nearby, including the jesuits historical site. They also prepare a superb dinner (starred restaurant type) in the...

Sometimes you come across an perfect gem of a place to stay and this is one of those. Situated on a hill above La Cumbre, it provides a splendid view of the surrounding countryside. A renovated palace, one feels that one has stepped into another time. Our room, Las Calas, was spacious and extremely well appointed. The only drawback is...
