This is a great location to stay at if you are planning on doing the Pulpit Rock. The location is perfect because its right at the bottom of the trailhead. We decided to hike at 8pm so by that time the tourist buses were gone. The accommodations are great. The kitchen hall is really bug and airy. We rented out... More

We had a nice stay in the mountain lodge. Beds and breakfast were fine. In the evening they serve excelent diners. Unfortunately the menu is rather limited, so don't stay to long. Staff is friendly and helpful. And there are several other interesting walks beside the Prekestolen.

My husband and I stayed at the Preikestolen Fjellstue mountain lodge for one night during our trip to Norway. We chose a room in the lodge (#16) as we had read some older reviews of bed bugs in the hostel rooms. (we seemed to have missed reviews of bed bugs in lodge rooms, or assumed the nicer rooms might be... More

I stayed noe night in the dorms, which was average and in line with expectations when staying with the Norwegian Tourist Association. I had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. The price to quality ratio is good, and the food is superb. THe wine selection is not huge, but sufficient. I had dinner i Stavanger the night before, in... More

After days on rough trails and camping in a tent, Preikestolen Fjellstue was the light at the end of the tunnel. Tourists come for Preikestolen and this hotel is at the epicenter of the visit. We were pleased to have a bed and a shower and generally the hotel is nice and clean, with interesting architecture for those who get... More

Hi Thank you for the review. It is possible to stay in Our hostel, which is also situated in the same area as the mountain lodge. Here the prices are a bit lower than the mountain lodge. Welcome back More

I've been here after i climbed the Preikestolen and it's a very good place to visit. It's pretty relaxing, with beautiful nature. The hotel/restaurant has everything you need and the personal is very nice and kind. This is also a very good start to climb the preikestolen or other walking tours you can do in the surrounding area.

Stayed at the hostel, our room was compact but clean. Great to be able to walk up to Preikestolen late in the afternoon, when all the crowds were coming down. Enjoyed two meals in the restaurant, both fish (one lunch, one evening meal) which were delicious. Walked around the lake which tooks hours, but was amazing. The lake view from... More

The lodge is a great position for the walk but as its only a 4 hr walk I would recommend staying away from what is a captive resort and drive in. The same people own the lodge the gift shop and the car park with nothing else there so they charge what they like so it's not good value for... More

Hi Thank you for the review. Actually, the car park is operated by others than us. With that said, almost 300 000 People walked the trail to Preikestolen last year. The Money from the car park is spent on the trail, and there is a lot to fix between Seasons. Hope you enjoyed Your trip to Preikestolen and Trolltunga and... More

Excellent location for the hike to Preikestolen, the popular rock formation 604 metres above the Lysefjord. Preikestolen fjellstue is situated where the trail starts. The fjellstue opened 2008 and has won Statens byggeskikkpris (architecture prize).

Stayed one night en route from Stavanger to Odda. Operates as hostel and hotel so be prepared for a few things that may surprise those used solely to hotel service. Stayed in a lovely room overlooking lake and had no problem sharing showers or making own bed. Staff were great, always polite and helpful. Breakfast good ( with option to... More
